Steve Hofstetter from LAUGHS

Have you caught LAUGHS on Fox yet? They're bringing the funny!!! From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the host of Laughs Steve Hofstetter

Alex Epstein

Could everything we know about fossil fuels be wrong? For decades, environmentalists have told us that using fossil fuels is a self-destructive addiction that will destroy our planet. Yet at the same time, by every measure of human well-being, from life expectancy to clean water to climate safety, life has been getting better and better. How can this be? In The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels, Alex Epstein argues that it’s because we usually hear only one side of the story. We’re taught to think only of the negatives of fossil fuels, their risks and side effects, but not their positives—their unique ability to provide cheap, reliable energy for a world of seven billion people. Energy is our ability to improve every single aspect of life, whether economic or environmental. Today, we use almost twice as many fossil fuels as we did forty years ago, and both prosperity and environmental quality have skyrocketed. If we look at the big picture of fossil fuels compared with the alternatives, the overall impact of using fossil fuels is to make the world a far better place. Join Alex Epstein on Friday, November 21st as he dispels some of the myths surrounding fossil fuels, including: •Fossil fuels are dirty. In fact, the environmental benefits of using fossil fuels far outweigh the risks. Fossil fuels don’t take a naturally clean environment and make it dirty; they take a naturally dirty environment and make it clean. They don’t take a naturally safe climate and make it dangerous; they take a naturally dangerous climate and make it ever safer. •Fossil fuels are unsustainable, so we should strive to use “renewable” solar and wind. Actually, sun and wind are intermittent, unreliable fuels that always need backup from a reliable source of energy—usually fossil fuels. There are huge amounts of fossil fuels left, and we have plenty of time to find something cheaper. •Fossil fuels are hurting the developing world. Fossil fuels are actually the key to improving the quality of life for billions of people in the developing world. If we withhold them, access to clean water plummets, critical medical machines like incubators become impossible to operate, and life expectancy drops significantly. Calls to “get off fossil fuels” are calls to degrade the lives of innocent people who merely want the same opportunities we enjoy in the West. And he reveals incredible, eye-opening facts such as: •The earth contains many times more oil than we have used in the entire history of civilization. •In the last eighty years, as CO2 emissions have rapidly escalated, the rate of climate-related deaths worldwide fell by an incredible rate of 98%; the climate is always dangerous, but high-energy civilization makes it far safer. •Despite the evidence that fossil fuels’ benefits far outweigh their risks, world leaders are proposing 50-95% bans on the use of fossil fuels over the next several decades—a guaranteed early death sentence for billions. Despite what the doomsayers have told us, Epstein makes the controversial case that fossil fuels are the only way to provide cheap, reliable energy for a world of seven billion people, and that it’s simply immoral to deny the developing world all the benefits the rest of us enjoy.

Rebecca Eaton

What is and isn't a Rock Star? McDonalds French Fries are a total Rock Star. So is Rebecca Eaton the imagination behind Downtown Abbey, Masterpiece and countless others on PBS. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the Emmy Award winning Rebecca Eaton For twenty-five years and counting, Eaton has presided over PBS’s Masterpiece, the longest running weekly prime time drama series on American television. Eaton brings to her memoir the voices of many of the writers, directors, producers, and other contributors and shares personal anecdotes—and even includes photos taken with her own camera—about her decades-spanning career. She reveals what went on behind the scenes during such triumphs as Cranford and the highly-rated programs made from Jane Austen’s novels, as well as her aggressive campaign to attract a new generation of fans. She also shares stories about luminaries such as Alistair Cooke, Maggie Smith, Diana Rigg, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kenneth Branagh, Gillian Anderson, and Daniel Radcliffe, whose first TV role was as the title character in David Copperfield. Readers will also get to know Eaton on a personal level. With a childhood steeped in theater, an affinity for nineteenth century novels and culture, and an “accidental apprenticeship” with the BBC, Eaton was practically born to lead Masterpiece. MAKING MASTERPIECE (written with Patricia Mulcahy) marks the first time the driving force behind this enduring flagship series steps out from behind the curtain. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rebecca Eaton has been executive producer of Masterpiece since 1985. Under her leadership, the series has earned forty-four Primetime Emmy Awards, fifteen Peabody Awards, four Golden Globes, and two Academy Award nominations. In 2011 Eaton was one of Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” and in 2003 Queen Elizabeth II named her an honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire. Julie Scoggins The Last Comic Standing Nightmare

She made it all the way up to Last Comic Standing then something tragic took place. Comedian Julie Scoggins is here to talk about it. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the side of the entertainment business that's too real to be a nightmare.

Bono Comic Book is Out

The Bono comic book is out!!! We'er Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the man behind the ink. Darren Davis in the iHeart Radio Studio Bluewater Productions is proud to announce the release this week of a comic book biography on the life of Bono as part of their popular Fame series. Fame: Bono is available in both print and digital. Written by Michael L. Frizell with interior art by Jayfri Hashim, Fame: Bono features cover by famed rock artist David Frizell. As the lead singer of U2, Bono electrifies audiences with his dynamic stage presence, while his electrifying persona draws people to social causes that concern all of us. His story is born from a divided Ireland and the dueling nature of the rock star live versus a devout faith. "Bono is a fascinating artist. Equal parts rock star, goodwill ambassador, and humanitarian, his work has stood the test of time," said writer Frizell. "Writing about U2's front man was a daunting task. They've remade themselves time and again, and their philanthropic service paints an eclectic portrait, making them hard to define. Even their name is a call to action, echoing the themes inherent in they're early work," continued Frizell. "In writing the comic, I wanted to convey the legendary performer as the ultimate Everyman. Bono comes from humble beginnings and experienced teenage years rife with angst and artistic growth and expression played against a backdrop of political strife. As a writer, who could ask for a more interesting subject?" “Some celebrities are just media sensations but then there’s someone like Bono who is a major inspiration to so many people. I have such respect for him and his story after working on this comic book,” said Bluewater publisher Darren G. Davis. Bluewater has focused on other music icons in the past such as Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Prince, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Keith Richards and more. “U2 as a band is inspirational - particularly Bono. I am awed by his unique creativity and the band's concept, particularly his stage persona as the fly!” said artist Jayfri Hashim. Cover artist David Frizell agrees with Hashim’s sentiment, saying, “When I work on a portrait, I try to capture the creative power of my subject. With Bono, there’s much from which to draw.” The print version of the book is available only at Comic Flea Market at www.comicfleamarket.com. Copies may also be downloaded to e-readers from iTunes, Kindle, Wowio, ComiXology, DriveThru Comics, Google Play, Madefire, My Digital Comics, Overdrive, Iverse, Biblioboard, Flipkart, Axis360, Epic!, Blio, Entitle, Comicblender.com, Indie Comic Tracker, Wheeler, Scoop, Nook, Kobo and wherever eBooks are sold. Coming soon are comic books featuring George Harrison and the cast of Doctor Who.

The band that shaped Classic Rock knew how to rip apart the walls of a studio. The Code of Silence has been shattered. He's back! You aren't going to believe how Beau Phillips held his own inside the nations biggest cities while making sure those that shaped Classic Rock had a stage outside the arena.

Spandau Ballet

They've sold millions of albums world wide. Returning to America for the first time in 19 years. Spandau Ballet recently drew in huge numbers when they performed on Jimmy Kimmel and now they're on I Heart Radio's Unplugged and Totally Uncut Spandau Ballet, one of the most successful and influential British bands today announced their Soul Boys of the Western World Tour. The tour marks the first time the band will tour North America in nearly 30 years. All five original members - Tony Hadley, John Keeble, Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp and Steve Norman - will once again captivate fans on this long-awaited and long overdue return. The Soul Boys of the Western World tour will kick off in San Francisco, CA at the famed Warfield Theatre and traverse the continent before winding down in Red Bank, NY at the Count Basie Theatre. "We are over the moon at rediscovering our friendship and are really looking forward to playing live in the US again," said Tony Hadley. "Playing live is what we do best! The shows will have all the hits and more." From their synth pop and dance pioneering early singles To Cut A Long Story Short and Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On), to the globe trotting smashes True and Gold, Spandau will be playing the hits once again. With 25 million record sales, 6 multi-platinum albums and 23 hit singles to choose from, this is one of the most eagerly awaited reunions to hit these shores in years. "We are tremendously excited about coming back to America to perform," said Gary Kemp. "We have great memories of our shows there in the 80s and can't wait re-connect with our amazing fans there." Last week Spandau Ballet announced they will make their U.S. late night television debut on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight in Los Angeles, CA. Jimmy Kimmel Live! also marks the first time the band will perform on television in the United States since 1985 when they made an appearance on Soul Train. Later this week on November 13 Spandau Ballet will stop by Good Day LA for what will surely be a "Throwback Thursday" fans this side of the Atlantic have waited years to see. In other Spandau Ballet news, the band will show their documentary, Soul Boys of the Western World, as part of the DOC NYC film festival in New York City on November 15 at 945PM at the SVA Theatre (333 West 23rd Street). The band and director George Hencken will attend the screening and participate in a Q&A about the film afterwards. This is their first public appearance in New York City since the 1980s. Soul Boys of the Western World is a voyage through the 80s in the company of Spandau Ballet, one of the decade's most iconic bands. This archive-only documentary film tells the story of a group of working-class London lads who created a global music empire, but at a price none of them imagined. Using the band's own home movies and showcasing newly discovered material, this film takes us into the heart of the era, and the cultural, political and personal landscape that formed the backdrop to the band's story. It is a film that speaks not only to fans of the band or those who harbor nostalgia for the 1980s, but also to anyone who has ever experienced friendship and loss. Critics rapturously received the film when it world premiered at SXSW film festival earlier this year. UK and Irish fans got their opportunity to see the film on September 30 when the European premiere at the Royal Albert Hall. This showing was beamed by satellite into over 200 cinemas across both countries along with a Q&A with the band and director George Hencken moderated by Lauren Laverne, followed by a short live performance by the band. When Norman stepped up front to blow his scripted sax break in "True," the crowd - which took over the chorus from Hadley and no doubt sang it in pubs up and down these isles in '83 - received it with the kind of shouts and applause New Yorkers always gave Clarence Clemons when he took his thundering-tenor spotlight in Madison Square Garden for Bruce Springsteen's "Jungleland." The ecstasy in the Albert Hall was that kind of loud. - ROLLING STONE Emerging from Soho's ultra hip Blitz Club in 1979 during another economic depression, Spandau formed at school in North London before becoming the hottest unsigned band on the planet. From underground, fashion and music obsessed working class Londoners, to global superstars, the band set the pace, the styles and the sound of the 1980s. Not only did their albums sell by the millions, but their look and style impacted on the fashion world and beyond. They created their own style, combining creativity with entrepreneurship and the 'can do' spirit of early 80s youth at a time of crisis and upheaval eerily reminiscent of 2009. Spandau Ballet are both commercially and culturally enormous.

Dennis McNalley On Highway 61 Part 2

Did you know Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn shaped what would become Ragtime, R&B and Soul? Without Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley as tools. The sound of river might have been silent. Making a huge return to the I Heart Radio Studios is author Dennis McNalley who takes us even deeper into the creation of American Music. What if Mark Twain helped shape the sound of the South? What if Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley were representatives of not just their eras of sight and sound but the continuation of America at birth? Before Johnny Cash and Elvis. Before Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. American music had roots dug into the soils of life and style. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the man that spent 20 years on the road with Grateful Dead. And not once did we talk about Jerry and the gang. Dennis McNally On Highway 61 explores the historical context of the significant social dissent that was central to the cultural genesis of the sixties. The book is going to search for the deeper roots of American cultural and musical evolution for the past 150 years by studying what the Western European culture learned from African American culture in a historical progression that reaches from the minstrel era to Bob Dylan. The book begins with America’s first great social critic, Henry David Thoreau, and his fundamental source of social philosophy:---his profound commitment to freedom, to abolitionism and to African-American culture. Continuing with Mark Twain, through whom we can observe the rise of minstrelsy, which he embraced, and his subversive satirical masterpiece Huckleberry Finn. While familiar, the book places them into a newly articulated historical reference that shines new light and reveals a progression that is much greater than the sum of its individual parts. As the first post-Civil War generation of black Americans came of age, they introduced into the national culture a trio of musical forms—ragtime, blues, and jazz— that would, with their derivations, dominate popular music to this day. Ragtime introduced syncopation and become the cutting edge of the modern 20th century with popular dances. The blues would combine with syncopation and improvisation and create jazz. Maturing at the hands of Louis Armstrong, it would soon attract a cluster of young white musicians who came to be known as the Austin High Gang, who fell in love with black music and were inspired to play it themselves. In the process, they developed a liberating respect for the diversity of their city and country, which they did not see as exotic, but rather as art. It was not long before these young white rebels were the masters of American pop music – big band Swing. As Bop succeeded Swing, and Rhythm and Blues followed, each had white followers like the Beat writers and the first young rock and rollers. Even popular white genres like the country music of Jimmy Rodgers and the Carter Family reflected significant black influence. In fact, the theoretical separation of American music by race is not accurate. This biracial fusion achieved an apotheosis in the early work of Bob Dylan, born and raised at the northern end of the same Mississippi River and Highway 61 that had been the birthplace of much of the black music he would study. As the book reveals, the connection that began with Thoreau and continued for over 100 years was a cultural evolution where, at first individuals, and then larger portions of society, absorbed the culture of those at the absolute bottom of the power structure, the slaves and their descendants, and realized that they themselves were not free.

Bob Minkin Live Dead

Josh Dorr

It's not every day that someone walks into the I Heart Radio Studio and says, "I was born in Gillette, Wyoming." I wish the station cameras would've caught my reaction when Jowh Dorr broke the ice. Gillette is where my mother was born. I was brought onto the planet just over the mountain. Unplugged and Totally Uncut with a way out west neighbor.

Mark Schultz Foxcatcher

Foxcatcher is heating up a lot of conversation in movie theaters. The book is selling and I have the author. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Mark Schultz On January 26, 1996, Dave Schultz, Olympic gold medal winner and wrestling champion, was shot three times by du Pont family heir John E. du Pont at the famed Foxcatcher Farms estate in Pennsylvania. You might recall sensational media coverage and subsequent murder trial, where du Pont was found guilty and sentenced to 13-30 years. He later died in prison. What hasn’t yet been told is the inside story of the complex relationship between du Pont and both Dave and his brother Mark Schultz. Mark—an Olympic gold medal champion wrestler himself—was also part of the Foxcatcher team, and worked with du Pont before his brother did. Now, he opens up in his memoir Foxcatcher: The True Story of My Brother’s Murder, John du Pont’s Madness, and the Quest for Olympic Gold. A movie based on the events, also titled Foxcatcher and directed by Bennett Miller (of Capote and Moneyball fame) is scheduled to be released this month. Starring Channing Tatum, Steve Carell, and Mark Ruffalo, the film has already received phenomenal early reviews, including an eight-minute standing ovation when it premiered at Cannes.

George Beinson

Not just one of the best in Jazz but he mastered what became Adult Contemporary Radio. Fro the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the very talented George Benson Over the span of his illustrious five-decade career, George Benson has sold millions of records, performed for hundreds of millions of fans, and cut some of the most beloved jazz and soul tunes in music history. But the guitarist/vocalist is much more than "This Masquerade," "On Broadway," "Turn Your Love Around," and "Give Me the Night." Benson is a flat-out inspiration, a multitalented artist who survived an impoverished childhood and molded himself into the first true—and truly successful—jazz/soul crossover artist. And now, on the heels of receiving the prestigious NEW Jazz Masters award, George has finally decided to tell his story. And what a story it is. Benson: The Autobiography follows George's remarkable rise from the ghettos of Pittsburgh to the stages of South Africa, and everywhere in between. George Benson is an unparalleled storyteller, and his tales of scuffling on the Chitlin Circuit with jazz legend Brother Jack McDuff, navigating his way through the recording studio with Miles Davis, and performing with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Quincy Jones, Benny Goodman, Rod Stewart, Chaka Khan, Count Basie, and Lou Rawls will enthrall devotees of both music history and pop culture. A treat for serious listeners, hardcore guitar aficionados, and casual music followers alike, George's long-awaited book allows readers to meet the man who is one of the most beloved, prolific, and bestselling musicians of his or any other era. GEORGE BENSON BIO (FROM ALLMUSIC.COM) George Benson is simply one of the greatest guitarists in jazz history, but he is also an amazingly versatile musician, and that frustrates to no end critics who would paint him into a narrow bop box. He can play in just about any style -- from swing to bop to R&B to pop -- with supreme taste, a beautiful rounded tone, terrific speed, a marvelous sense of logic in building solos, and, always, an unquenchable urge to swing. His inspirations may have been Charlie Christian and Wes Montgomery -- and he can do dead-on impressions of both -- but his style is completely his own. Not only can he play lead brilliantly, he is also one of the best rhythm guitarists around, supportive to soloists and a dangerous swinger, particularly in a soul-jazz format. Yet Benson can also sing in a lush, soulful tenor with mannerisms similar to those of Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, and it is his voice that has proved to be more marketable to the public than his guitar. Benson is the guitar-playing equivalent of Nat King Cole -- a fantastic pianist whose smooth way with a pop vocal eventually eclipsed his instrumental prowess in the marketplace -- but unlike Cole, Benson has been granted enough time after his fling with the pop charts to reaffirm his jazz guitar credentials, which he still does at his concerts. Benson actually started out professionally as a singer, performing in nightclubs at eight, recording four sides for RCA's X label in 1954, forming a rock band at 17 while using a guitar that his stepfather made for him. Exposure to records by Christian, Montgomery, and Charlie Parker got him interested in jazz, and by 1962, the teenaged Benson was playing in Brother Jack McDuff's band. After forming his own group in 1965, Benson became another of talent scout John Hammond's major discoveries, recording two highly regarded albums of soul-jazz and hard bop for Columbia and turning up on several records by others, including Miles Davis' Miles in the Sky. He switched to Verve in 1967, and, shortly after the death of Montgomery in June 1968, producer Creed Taylor began recording Benson with larger ensembles on A&M (1968-1969) and big groups and all-star combos on CTI (1971-1976). While the A&M and CTI albums certainly earned their keep and made Benson a guitar star in the jazz world, the mass market didn't catch on until he began to emphasize vocals after signing with Warner Bros. in 1976. His first album for Warner Bros., Breezin', became a Top Ten hit on the strength of its sole vocal track, "This Masquerade," and this led to a string of hit albums in an R&B-flavored pop mode, culminating with the Quincy Jones-produced Give Me the Night. As the '80s wore on, though, Benson's albums became riddled with commercial formulas and inferior material, with his guitar almost entirely relegated to the background. Perhaps aware of the futility of chasing the charts (after all, "This Masquerade" was a lucky accident), Benson reversed his field late in the '80s to record a fine album of standards, Tenderly, and another with the Basie band, his guitar now featured more prominently. His pop-flavored work also improved noticeably in the '90s. Benson retains the ability to spring surprises on his fans and critics, like his dazzlingly idiomatic TV appearance and subsequent record date with Benny Goodman in 1975 in honor of John Hammond, and his awesome command of the moment at several Playboy Jazz Festivals in the '80s. His latter-day recordings include the 1998 effort Standing Together, 2000's Absolute Benson, 2001's All Blues, and 2004's Irreplaceable. Three songs from 2006's Givin' It Up, recorded with Al Jarreau, were nominated for Grammy Awards in separate categories. Benson began to see numerous reissues of his catalog material from his years with producer Creed Taylor on Verve, A&M, and CTI, from 2008 on. In 2009, he signed to Concord and released Songs and Stories for the label, and followed it up with his first primarily instrumental album in 35 years entitled Guitar Man in 2011. Two years later, in 2013, Benson released Inspiration: A Tribute to Nat King Cole, featuring arrangements by Nelson Riddle and Randy Waldman, and at the age of 70, it was one of Benson's finest albums.

Joe Elliott of Def Leppard and Ralph Sall The Art Of McCartney

Tomorrow history is being made. The artists of the world come together to salute Paul McCartney. Joe Elliott of Def Leppard and Ralph Sall the producer of the Art Of McCartney are Unplugged and Totally Uncut with me on I Heart Radio. The Art Of McCartney is a long awaited and very special project celebrating one of the most universally acclaimed songwriters of all time, Sir Paul McCartney. With backing provided by McCartney’s long time band, classic tracks such as Maybe I’m Amazed, My Love, The Long And Winding Road, When I’m 64, Let It Be, Helter Skelter, Eleanor Rigby, Live And Let Die have been recorded by some of the world’s greatest artists. The Art of McCartney will be released on November 18th. The caliber of artists showing their respect to Paul’s songwriting genius is truly staggering. Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, The Cure, The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Brian Wilson, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Dr John, Yusuf, Barry Gibb, Jamie Cullum, KISS, Chrissie Hynde, ELO legend Jeff Lynne, and many more have recorded McCartney songs exclusively for this album. The Art Of McCartney is the brainchild of Los Angeles producer, Beatles and McCartney fanatic, Ralph Sall, who has driven this project from conception to delivery. Sall met and worked alongside Paul in 2003 when they revived a song from the 1971 Ram sessions for a movie soundtrack. Ralph then asked Paul and his publishing company if they would support his making this album to honour him. They came back with Paul’s own blessing and thumbs aloft for the project to go ahead. Ralph became a man on a mission, first recruiting McCartney’s gifted backing guitarists, Rusty Anderson and Brian Ray, keyboard player Paul “Wix” Wickens, plus the larger than life drummer, Abe Laboriel, Jr. They know Paul’s extensive back catalogue intimately and this is the first time they have recorded his songs with anyone else since they first started working together with Paul over 12 years ago. Ralph then set about approaching the world’s greatest performers to invite them to step forward and make their mark. This has been a labour of love, not only for Ralph but also for the artists who gave their time to be part of it. All have spoken of the importance of McCartney and his songwriting in their own careers and wanted to show their appreciation. A key strength of The Art Of McCartney is the way these world class artists have got to grips with the sheer range and quality of Paul’s work. From his groundbreaking recordings with The Beatles, through to key moments with Wings and his solo compositions, they are all featured on the album. Legendary Beach Boy, Brian Wilson, was the first to take up the challenge. Undoubtedly he set the bar very high with his rendition of Wanderlust from the underrated 1982 album Tug Of War. There are very few artists whose own work rivals The Beatles. So when producer Ralph Sall approached Bob Dylan to take part, he knew it was ambitious. Dylan’s choice was Things We Said Today - a track from The Beatles’ soundtrack A Hard Days Night – and audiences will be captivated as he growls his way through his remarkable version. There are so many great interpretations here but look out for Willie Nelson’s heartfelt Yesterday, Roger Daltrey’s frenzied version of Helter Skelter, B.B. King’s atmospheric On The Way and The Cure’s Hello Goodbye. Also Smokey Robinson who makes his version of So Bad from Paul’s Pipes of Peace album his own, his tender vocals taking the song in a new direction. All
aspects of Paul’s peerless back catalogue have been explored from The Beatles to his experimental early solo work, to Wings and his latter solo output. Lesser-known hidden classics such as Junk and Every Night are given a fresh outing and interpretation. The lead off track from the album is The Cure’s take on The Beatles classic ‘Hello Goodbye’ which is the band’s first release in 6 years and also features Sir Paul’s son James on keyboards. The track is available for download now for those who pre-order The Art Of McCartney. Whether it is The Cure’s Robert Smith, Corinne Bailey Rae, Smokey Robinson, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel or KISS, they each bring their own special talent to Paul’s much-loved songs. In so doing, they have created versions that are both new and classic at the same time. The Art of McCartney is the very definition of the universal appeal and timeless magic of Sir Paul McCartney’s songs and songwriting. The Art Of McCartney is an audiophile’s dream. It is available in five beautifully packaged formats for the McCartney fan in your life:

Jillian Bell

She dominated 22 Jump Street. She's brilliant on Work-a-holics. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with actress Jillian Bell Loaded with more than 100 Minutes of Extensive Bonus Content, Including 22 Deleted & Extended Scenes, Four Alternate Line-O-Ramas, Six Featurettes & Three Extra Videos Jonah Hill (Moneyball) and Channing Tatum (Foxcatcher) are back in action in Columbia Pictures’ / Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ outrageously explosive 22 JUMP STREET, debuting on Digital HD on Oct. 28, and on Blu-ray™ and DVD Nov. 18 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshman to real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them. The $314 million worldwide box office hit also stars Ice Cube (Ride Along), reprising his role as Captain Dickson, along with Peter Stormare (The Last Stand), Wyatt Russell (Cowboys & Aliens), Amber Stevens (“Greek”), Jillian Bell (“Workaholics”), the comedic Lucas Brothers duo, Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”) and Jimmy Tatro (YouTube’s “Life According to Jimmy”). Bonus features on both the 22 JUMP STREET Blu-ray and DVD include five deleted scenes, commentary with Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, as well as Hill and Tatum, and a “Line-O-Rama” alternate scene that gives audiences a look at different takes during one of the film’s funniest scenes. Also included on Blu-ray and DVD is “The Perfect Couple of Directors” featurette, which takes a look at the directors’ creative vision for 22 JUMP STREET and their collaboration with Tatum and Hill. Blu-ray exclusive bonus features include 17 additional deleted and extended scenes (22 in total), six all-new featurettes, four more “Line-O-Ramas,” a montage of jokes cut from the film, and two viral videos, “Zook & McQuaid’s Football Tape” and “Jenko Split”. The film is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The screenplay is by Michael Bacall and Oren Uziel and Rodney Rothman, from a story by Michael Bacall & Jonah Hill, based on the television series “21 Jump Street” created by Patrick Hasburgh & Stephen J. Cannell. Neal H. Moritz, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum served as producers. Executive producers include Stephen J. Cannell, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Tania Landau, Brian Bell, Reid Carolin and Ben Waisbren. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s comedy sequel 22 Jump Street earned a whopping $60 million at the box office over the weekend (and, oh gee whiz, wouldn’t you know it, women like to go see all kinds of movies) thanks to strong reviews and moviegoers who were eager to revisit the buddy cop antics of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. And while critics and audiences alike were pleased with the return of Tatum and Hill (not to mention their fellow 21 Jump Street co-stars Ice Cube, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle, and Nick Offerman), it was a newcomer to the franchise who stole the show: comedian/writer/actress Jillian Bell. (Mild 22 Jump Street spoilers ahead.) In the movie Bell plays Mercedes, a college student weary of the age of her dorm mate Maya’s (Amber Stevens) hookup Schmidt (Hill). When Mercedes isn’t creepily watching them from her bed across the room, she’s slinging some seriously cutting zingers about how old Schmidt looks. Bell’s line delivery is impeccable throughout the entire movie and, during a riotous spring break sequence, she and Hill engage in one of the most uproarious fist fight scenes you’ve ever seen on film. (Let’s just say it involves some incredible misunderstandings about wanting to kiss during combat.) As leads, Tatum and Hill may be the ones on the poster, but Bell walked away as the breakout star. Hell, even Hill himself would agree with that sentiment. If Bell looked familiar to you while you were watching 22 Jump Street, that’s because the Groundlings vet has been making you laugh your butt off for the past few years. Bell — who was a writer on Saturday Night Live from 2009 to 2010 (she, along with her cohorts, earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series) — is perhaps best known for her TV work on comedies like Workaholics, Eastbound & Down, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. (When you think about it, it’s really no big surprise that Bell was able to hold her own in the male-dominated 22 Jump Street: she’s been kicking ass in the boy’s comedy club for quite some time now.) The up-and-coming star, who has proven herself to be as versatile on the big screen as she has been on the small screen (in addition to parts in comedies like 22 Jump Street and Bridesmaids, she also took on a dramatic role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Oscar-nominated opus The Master, who she’ll reunite with in the upcoming Inherent Vice), is just as awesome off-screen, too. Bell — whose Twitter bio reads ”A girl who loves halloween and hummus” (instant cool girl cred in our book) — has been thanking her well-wishers from Questlove to Taran Killam after 22 Jump Street’s big opening weekend. But even before Bell’s gracious responses regarding 22 Jump Street, she’s already been awesome on the social networking site, giving kudos to fellow ass-kicking, scene-stealing actresses like Louie’s Sarah Baker. Simply put: she freakin’ rocks. Now, whether or not Bell (who seems like a total down-to-Earth delight in interviews, like her recent one with Cosmo) winds up in any of those possible 22 Jump Street follow-ups, considering she has her own upcoming television series Idiotsitter and will appear in the eagerly anticipated Goosebumps movie, she won’t just be taking this hit franchise by storm, but all of Hollywood.

Ray Stevens

Not just a brilliant song writer but one of this nations funniest people. The king of streaking and more. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Mr. Ray Stevens Ray Stevens' Nashville is a Nashville you will love, too. Ray takes you behind the scenes into the recording sessions and into the dressing rooms and shares his Nashville with us in a very entertaining way. It's fun, informative and funny. If you are a fan of Ray Stevens, country or pop music, or the city of Nashville, you will love Ray Stevens' Nashville. Ray Stevens was recently described in the Nashville Tennessean newspaper as the most talented man on Music Row. Not bad for a guy who moved to town in 1962 with all of his worldly possessions in the smallest U-Haul trailer available at the time, and as he will tell you, it wasn't full. A Hall of Fame songwriter, Grammy award winning vocalist and arranger with numerous Gold and Platinum Records, and nine consecutive Comedian of the Year statuettes, Ray says he is a piano man in a guitar town, which makes the career of this imaginative and prolific musician even more notable. Many Nashville recording artists have a couple of country hits, buy a few new flashy cars and a hillbilly bus and go off performing around the country to make room for, you know, the new kid in town, the next big thing. But Ray Stevens didn't have a couple of hits, he had a string of them and he didn't buy a bus and leave town, he rented a plane so he could fly home and sleep in his own bed every night. He didn't view his success as a fast burn, but simply the natural result of doing his job well, and he never got tired of that job. His is an American dream story of humble beginnings, talent, and hard work. He has always gotten up every day and gone to work, just like his folks taught him to do, and the way his mill employee father modeled for him. Part of the answer of his long success is that he has never been comfortable with being a Star. In fact, he is a very reluctant celebrity, always shunning limos, presidential suites, and the star treatment in general. When told a production company would send a limo for him he replied, Just tell me the address, I have a car and I've been driving since I was 16. He loves Nashville, it's his adopted hometown. He likes breakfast with old friends every Saturday morning at a small neighborhood restaurant, and being able to be at work after just a 15 minute drive. He loves the architecture, the people, the business, and being surrounded by the best musicians in the world that he can call on at a moment s notice to come to one of his state of the art recording studios and help him create that most elusive of all things-- a Hit Record.

John Byrne Cooke On The Road With Janis Joplin

I've always believed Road Managers tell the best stories. I've just hooked up with the man that led Janis Joplin around. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with John Byrne Cooke The iconic Janis Joplin became a star in just a few short years before her death at age 27. And from the beginning there was John Byrne Cooke, who took the job as road manager for Janis and her band in 1967, and was a constant presence behind the scenes before her tragic overdose in 1970. Cooke, an acclaimed photographer, filmmaker, and folk/bluegrass musician in his own right, recorded the scene in notebooks and on film. Now, in his new memoir, On the Road with Janis Joplin, heoffers an intimate portrait of the too-short years with Janis, from her explosion onto the national scene to her tragic last days recording her final album in Los Angeles. Chronicling Big Brother and the Holding Company’s meteoric rise after Monterey Pop and Janis Joplin’s rising star as a unique vocalist, John Byrne Cooke sheds light on the San Francisco music scene in an ode to the Summer of Love. He shares an unforgettable era when drugs, sex, and rock ‘n’ roll changed everything.

OK GO

They've been dubbed the world's first post-internet band. The first to see the internet as the art form it is and do something about it beyond just trying to score business success. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Tim and Damian from the group OK GO OK Go is back with a new album - Hungry Ghosts (Paracadute/BMG) - and to celebrate, the band is unleashing a multitude of associated projects across a broad range of disciplines. On October 27th, OK Go unveiled the video for "I Won't Let You Down," the second single from Hungry Ghosts, during a visit to NBC's "TODAY." The clip, which can be viewed at okgo.net, was lensed in Japan's Chiba Prefecture in August 2014. In preparation for the album's release, OK Go approached Honda through their friend, creative director Morihiro Harano, with the idea to collaborate and produce a music video. The resulting clip was shot using a custom "multi-copter camera" developed for the project. In OK Go's signature style, the action is captured in one single shot. It was directed by OK Go's Damian Kulash and Kazuaki Seki, with creative direction by Morihiro Harano (of Mori, Inc.). Honda lent the band the futuristic Uni-Cubs seen in the video. The Uni-Cub is a unique single-wheeled Honda vehicle that is currently in the development stage. Details for the band's 2015 headline theatre tour - which will kick off on March 21, 2015 at The Warfield in San Francisco, CA - will be announced shortly. In the meantime, fans can see OK Go performing on "Late Show with David Letterman" on Tuesday, November 11th and at a special event: a November 14 appearance at the Fitzgerald Theater in St Paul, MN with comic Hari Kondabolu on NPR's "Wits," a live public radio show that mixes improv, sketch comedy, conversation and music. Continuing a career that includes award-winning videos, New York Times op-eds, a major label split and the establishment of a DIY trans-media mini-empire (Paracadute), collaborations with pioneering dance companies and tech giants, animators and Muppets, OK Go continue to fearlessly dream and build new worlds in a time when creative boundaries have all but dissolved. Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller famously called OK Go "the first post-Internet band, the first band to use the internet as a medium of art, not just commerce." Known as leaders in the field of social media, OK Go have recently become trendsetters in the burgeoning messaging app scene. They were the first band with a presence on Tango, where they have amassed over 400,000 followers, and are also the first band to use KIK's brand new dashboard messaging system to communicate directly with fans. Say hi to them there - atkik.okgo.net. Other recent endeavors include: • A remix contest with Blend, the premiere platform for backing up and collaborating on music projects in their native format. Fans are invited to put their spin on "I Won't Let You Down" in the DAW of their choice. • The illusion-filled video for "The Writing's On The Wall," which garnered seven million views in its first seven days of release and was praised by NPR as a "brilliant mix of music, choreography and trickery" - plus an interactive website that takes fans behind-the-scenes at the video shoot. • An installment of the AV Club's AV Undercover series. "OK Go maintain their place as creative heavyweights of the music industry with Hungry Ghosts," said Paste Magazine while Rolling Stone observed, "OK Go's songs are a lot like their brilliant viral-hit videos: cute, ingeniously crafted and entertaining..." "Where so many other acts in their position might be content to rest on their laurels with a couple of catchy singles and the occasional viral video, OK Go have become a band in the habit of releasing old-fashioned, good-from-beginning-to-end albums, a feat that sometimes feels as though it's become something of a lost art," noted All Music. The band recorded Hungry Ghosts with longtime producer and friend Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Weezer, MGMT), while also enlisting a new collaborator in Los Angeles, veteran Tony Hoffer (Beck, Phoenix). The Future of Music Coalition, citing OK Go's longstanding commitment to innovative business models and connecting its success with new models to broader concerns about cultural sustainability and social justice, has nominated the band for a Future of Music Honors award. OK Go has already been honored with a GRAMMY, an MTV Video Music Award, a CLIO, two WEBBY Awards (including one for their collaboration with The Muppets and Sesame Street), a spot in a Guggenheim installation and a total of seven Lions from the 2012 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity - the advertising world's most prestigious competition. http://www.okgo.net http://instagram.com/damiankulash http://instagram.com/timothynordwind

Adam Mansbach

His first book blew everyone awaty. Including Morgan Freeman. Go the F To Sleep. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with author Adam Mansbach. From the award winning novelist and #1 New York Times best-selling author of Go The F**k to Sleep comes the long-awaited sequel about the other great parental frustration: getting your little angel to eat something that even vaguely resembles a normal meal. Profane, loving, and deeply cathartic, You Have To F**king Eat (Akashic Books; on-sale November 12, 2014; $14.95) breaks the code of child-rearing silence, giving moms and dads a much-needed chance to laugh about a universal problem. It’s also a perfect gift book, timed for release during the holiday season. Says author Adam Mansbach, the unlikely spokesperson for a new generation of parents worldwide: “There’s been plenty of enthusiasm for a sequel over the years (and plenty of suggestions!) but I always said I’d only do one if it rang true to me—if I felt like I could imbue it with the same kind of honesty, love, and frustration as the first book. And eating is the other universal source of parental anxiety, a battle of wills just as pitched as sleep can be. From my own experiences and plenty of conversations with other parents, it seemed like a topic folks could use a laugh and a bit of catharsis about.” Adam Mansbach once again teams up with Brooklyn-based independent publisher Akashic Books on this release, which features illustrations by Owen Brozman, whose art has appeared in Scholastic, Time Out New York, and National Geographic. Like the smash hit Go the F**k to Sleep, You Have to F**king Eat perfectly captures Mansbach’s trademark humor, which is simultaneously affectionate and radically honest. You probably shouldn’t read it to your kids. Go the F**k to Sleep highlights: • #1 New York Times bestseller (41 weeks in Top 10), and hit many other bestseller lists including Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Publishers Weekly, Amazon.com, and more. • Translated in 35 international territories. • Audible Studios audiobook, featuring an iconic performance by Samuel L. Jackson (with other celebrity readings and endorsements from the likes of Charlize Theron, Jessica Simpson, Werner Herzog, Jenna Elfman, Judah Friedlander, and more!) became a viral phenomenon listened to millions of times. • Movie rights sold to Fox 2000, where a feature film is currently in development. ABOUT ADAM MANSBACH Adam Mansbach's novels include The End of the Jews, winner of the California Book Award, and the best-selling Angry Black White Boy, a San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of 2005. His fiction and essays have appeared in the New York Times Book Review, the Believer, Granta, Los Angeles Times,, and many other publications. He is the 2010-2011 New Voices Professor of Fiction at Rutgers University. His book Go The F**k To Sleep was a New York Times Bestseller. The sequel, You Have To Fu**ing Eat will be published in November 2014 by Akashic Books. His daughter Vivien is six.

Two years later, she completed a second book, "Making Memories," which featured over 200 ways for parents to create rich family memories with their children that last a lifetime. She has also made numerous guest-starring appearances including NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." On the big screen, she made her feature film debut in Oliver Stone's "The Doors," in which she played the wife of Doors' guitarist Robbie Krieger. She also hosted the PBS educational special, "Teach More, Love More," which followed four families, each with a child in one of the four critical stages of early childhood development -- newborn, infancy, toddlerhood and preschool. As host, Josie guided viewers through the program which explores the joys, fears and a myriad of questions that accompany the beginning of life. "Teach More, Love More" included interviews with nationally renowned experts such as Dr. T. Berry Brazelton. Josie has been the face of several national commercial campaigns, including Neutrogena's skin care line and Dr. Scholl's Pedicure Essentials, an entire line of 14 different products designed to pamper the feet. Additionally, she was a spokesperson for Murad Skin Care's Resurgence® Regimen, the first comprehensive line of products formulated exclusively to help revitalize and rebuild hormonally aging skin. Cary Elwes

The Princess Bride has become one of the Top 100 most loved stories of all time. But what was it truly like to be on a $16 million dollar budget on a Hollywood set run by Rob Reiner? From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with actor Cary Elwes. Touchstone is pleased to present AS YOU WISH: Inconceivable Tales From the Making of The Princess Bride (October 14, 2014; Touchstone Hardcover), by the movie’s leading man himself—Cary Elwes with Joe Layden, a Foreword by Rob Reiner and Epilogue by Norman Lear and an original poster from acclaimed artist Shepard Fairey. Featuring never-before-told stories from Cary and his extraordinary co-stars, AS YOU WISH is the ultimate account of the film that has captured the hearts of viewers for generations. The Princess Bride, based on William Goldman’s remarkable novel, has stood the test of time as both a family favorite and cult classic for nearly three decades. Only a modest hit in theaters in 1987, the movie gained popularity on VHS, and is now ranked by the American Film Institute as one of the top 100 Greatest Love Stories, and by the Writers Guild of America as one of the top 100 screenplays of all time. The film’s timeless love story and brilliantly funny screenplay have endured, proving to be just as relevant and charming for fans today as they were at its premiere. Now for the first time ever, Cary Elwes—the man behind the film’s dashing hero, Westley—gives fans a look inside the making of The Princess Bride. Only 23-years-old during filming, this book is Cary’s first-hand account of the making of the film that kick-started his career, and the many influential people he met along the way. The book is chock-full of interviews with Cary’s legendary co-stars—including Robin Wright, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal, Fred Savage, Christopher Guest, Carol Kane, Christopher Sarandon and Mandy Patinkin—as well as an epilogue from producer Norman Lear, and a foreword by director Rob Reiner, all of whom, along with writer William Goldman, share incredible stories behind how the movie was made and what effect it had on their lives. From his casting in the midst of possible radioactive fallout to never before revealed anecdotes about the lovable André the Giant; these and many more wonderful behind-the-scenes stories are bound to wow any fan. Readers will also get to enjoy exclusive photographs from Rob Reiner’s and Norman Lear’s personal collections, plus plenty of set secrets and hilarious backstage tales that will leave you running to press play all over again including: * How Cary suffered a broken toe while playing around with an all-terrain vehicle. * Why Rob and Cary had to leave the set during Billy Crystal’s scenes portraying “Miracle Max.” * How Wallace Shawn, who played the conniving Sicilian Vizzini, was nearly crippled by anxiety because he believed another actor was the producers’ first choice for the role. * Why Robin Wright was the last person to be cast in the film. * How Andre the Giant supplied the set with crates of food he brought back from France after paying a visit to his family. *Details of how Mandy Patinkin and Cary trained for 2 months to prepare for The Greatest Sword Fight in Modern Times. * Details of an alternate ending to the movie with Buttercup, Westley, Inigo, and Fezzik. * Details of how President Clinton became a fan of the movie. AS YOU WISH is an enchanting treasury that is sure to delight all fans of The Princess Bride CARY ELWES BIO (FROM YAHOO MOVIES) Revered for his charming lead performance in Rob Reiner's classic fairy tale, "The Princess Bride" (1987), British actor Cary Elwes went on to find success largely in supporting roles in a variety of genres. He showed a career-long interest in period films, donning medieval tights again in the satirical "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" (1993), which solidified his believability as a genuine swashbuckler throwback, a la Errol Flynn. In his higher profile Hollywood work, the actor appeared as Tom Cruise's rival in "Days of Thunder" (1991) before sending up the action film genre in "Hot Shots" (1991). He supported Jim Carrey in the comedy "Liar Liar" (1997), chased storms in "Twister" (1996), and while he was initially typecast for his dashing, patrician air, Elwes' later career was marked by darker roles in genre material like "The X-Files" (Fox, 1993-2002), "Saw" (2004) and "The Riverman" (A&E, 2004), the latter of which saw him portraying infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. The actor's charm and humor was still on display, however, with animated voice work on the CGI adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" (2009) and a recurring role as the roguish Pierre Despereaux on the TV dramedy "Psych" (USA Network). By turns dashing, sinister or downright silly, Elwes maintained a well-earned reputation as one of the most dependable and versatile actors of his generation. Cary says that he will always be indebted to The Princess Bride, for changing his life and giving him a career that has spanned decades
