Maury Povich is in the midst of his 22nd season as host of Maury. For the past year, Maury has held the #1 syndicated talk show in demographic ratings for women ages 18-34, adults 18-34, women 18-49, adults 18-49, and adults 25-54.
The news business runs deep with Povich. He is the son of legendary Washington Post sports columnist Shirley Povich, who worked at the Post for 75 years. His sister, Lynn, was a former senior editor at Newsweek. And Maury has been married to legendary newswoman Connie Chung since 1984. His own broadcast journalism roots took hold more than 40 years ago in his native Washington, D.C. where he began as a radio street reporter and eventually the original host of a two-hour daily live news talk show titled Panorama, which became a television staple for those working on Capitol Hill and in the White House. It was the only midday news show in the nation's capital before the advent of the 24-hour cable news networks.
Povich has covered the biggest news events since the 60’s: the aftermath of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, riots in Washington following the death of Martin Luther King, Jr., anti-war demonstrations during the Vietnam War and the historic events of Watergate. Maury later helped create and host the maverick newsmagazine A Current Affair, which became an instant hit and changed the face of network and cable news.
Family and children's causes along with supporting journalism play special roles in Povich’s life. And so does golf! He currently has a 2-handicap and competes frequently in U.S. Senior Amateur golf tournaments. Maury is also devoted to his golden retriever, Birdie, who often appears on Maury and will join him in studio the morning of satellite interviews!

Eve
To Adam – the name itself evokes a transformation. The band that prides itself
on the hard working ethos and intertwines itself with its legions of fans doing
just the same – Eve To Adam continues to honor its solid foundation with new
music from its current album, Ithaca.

The Queens, N.Y., rockers,
staging tour operations now out of Tampa and Orlando, Fla., have always
embraced the role of underdog – Taki Sassaris (vocals, founder), Alex Sassaris (drummer,
founder), Jeff Raines (drummer), Ilyn Nathanial (bass guitar) and Damien Bergeron
(guitar).
“We have an hour to make
our dent every night,” Taki Sassaris said. “We’re not going to take for granted
our time on stage and yield that power. We’re going to be hitting it hard each
time.”
Nearly
two decades after its debut album, Auburn
Slip, Eve To Adam’s fifth full length album, Ithaca is a step forward for the rockers. What hasn’t changed,
though, is the band’s intense connection with its stronghold of fans. The
cemented relationship they feel trumps any feelings of doubts and serves as a
symbol of its endurance in the often harsh musical landscape. Getting these
songs to Eve to Adams’s fans, the band says, is a part of the ripple effect.
Hearing fans reactions is just as inspirational, they said.
“Once you release your
music, it’s not yours anymore,” Taki Sassaris said.

November 1st will be the nationwide theatrical release of INSIDE GAME, the true-life NBA betting scandal thriller. The 2007 NBA Betting Scandal is one of the greatest sports scandals in modern history as NBA referee Tim Donaghy leveraged his relationships with other referees, coaches, and players to bet on professional basketball games. During an unrelated mob investigation the FBI stumbled upon the scam and all parties were subsequently sent to prison.
Directed by Randall Batinkoff, the film was written by Andy Callahan and stars Scott Wolf, Eric Mabius, Will Sasso, Lindsey Morgan and Michael O'Keefe. INSIDE GAME was produced by Michael Pierce, Paul Martino, Randall Batinkoff, and Robert Capelli. The film will open on over100+ screens in more than 20 of the top NBA markets. Set in Philadelphia, the film details the real life story of Tommy Martino (Wolf) who along with his two childhood friends, NBA referee Tim Donaghy (Mabius) and a bookie Baba Battista (Sasso) hatches a fool proof scheme to make millions bybetting on NBA games Donaghy is refereeing.
"Inside Game is an inside look at the lives affected by people who think they are above the law. Unethical plans almost always seem easy, and they almost always have an inescapable crack because we are all human," said director-producer Batinkoff.
