A newborn fawn greeted me in the forest this morning. Its eyes blessed with the most astounding emotion. Filled with the beauty of all things that
shall become. I quickly looked around
the forest for the mother. To my right
maybe twenty five feet. She stood there
waving her tall white tail as if to be asking, “Do you love my baby?” This forest.
Wow. We met for the first time in
November of 1992. I didn’t realize the
power it would have in my heart growing forward. This gift today is part of the empowerment of
the universe moving through you. Or as I
put on social media: God in forward motion.
My daily writing in this forest didn’t begin in 1992 but rather two
years later. It’s all been
documented! The replenishing of
seventeen hundred trees to getting married in the forest to sitting down with
my small fuzzy children while they took their final breath. My wow is a very tiny forest and after twenty
nine years of connection I still can’t explain the calling. I do want to thank the baby fawn for such an
amazing reminder of how life is about being in the present with a firm grip on
sharing it with future travelers. So I
ask, where is your wow? That place of
connection, rebirth and understanding.
Is it far into the mountains or sitting next to the waves stretching on
shores? Where is your wow? Is it while writing, reading or simply
staring at a wall with no photographs?
Locating your wow. When you
identify as such know in your heart it’ll always protect you.
