Bob Minkin Live Dead
A celebration of great music through the lens of a camera. The man handpicked to document the journey of the Grateful Dead Bob Minkin is Unplugged and Totally Uncut inside the I Heart Radio Studio
Forty years, 200 Grateful Dead concerts and 100 Jerry Garcia shows; Bob Minkin’s new photo book Live Dead captures a life spent with a camera in hand. He was just 15 when his attempted first show - August 1974, Roosevelt Stadium – was rained out, and he was all of 17 at the Boston Music Hall in 1976 when he shot his first G.D. concert. The oldest picture in his book is of Jerry Garcia (with Nicky Hopkins) at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ, in 1975, and the most recent is of Bob Weir with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, in April of 2014. .and a whole lot of remarkable pictorial memories in between.
