Meili Cady author of Smoke

This is no Johnny Depp story. This is a true story about a girl that moves from Washington state to Hollywood. She discovers there's money to be made. Smuggling drugs. Suddenly her acting career takes a swift turn. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with actress Meili Cady SMOKE: How a Small-Town Girl Accidentally Wound Up Smuggling 7,000 Pounds of Marijuana with the Pot Princess of Beverly Hills (Dey Street Trade Paperback; On Sale March 24th, 2015) is the vividly written, true story told by Meili Cady, an LA newcomer who found herself trapped in a drug trafficking ring. Meili, who served a short time in prison and a year of home confinement following her arrest that made national headlines in 2010, has kept the intimate details of her entire experience under wraps...until now. It all started five years earlier, when Meili Cady left rural Bremerton, Washington to pursue an acting career in Hollywood. She was nineteen years old and alone in a city where it was as difficult to make genuine friends as it was to get consistent work as an actress. Once she was settled, Meili was introduced to the “Korean Paris Hilton,” and an alleged heiress to the Samsung and Sony fortunes, Lisette Lee. Lee claimed to be a model, and Korean pop star amongst other fabrications that helped pad her personal résumé. Her $1.2 million dollar apartment in West Hollywood, fleet of luxury cars, and innate ability to lie made her stories even more believable. The two girls could not have been more opposite, but their bond was immediate and intense. Meili was enchanted by her friend’s extravagant lifestyle and Lee told Meili she was the breath of fresh air she’d been searching for amid the usual Beverly Hills phonies. Meili began to struggle financially while trying to make it as an actress, pulling some auditions as the months went on. When Lisette offered her a job as her personal assistant, Meili knew she was in dire straits when she immediately said yes without even questioning what she’d be “assisting” with. At first, Meili welcomed the luxurious gifts, private plane rides, and finally being a part of something solid in Los Angeles. Her peers recognized a newfound confidence that heightened as the money rolled in. In trying to find acceptance, Meili turned a blind eye during the most telling time of her life. Once she discovered the real truth behind Lisette's mysterious new business façade, it was too late to step away safely. As Meili became more reserved, and questioned the motives of Lee and the group–appropriately dubbed Team LL–her relationship with Lisette became manipulative and abusive. Meili had entered a criminal world of dangerous secrets, drugs, and money, and her only confidant was now the person she feared most. She knew it was only a matter of time before the operation took a turn for the worst. SMOKE: How a Small-Town Girl Accidentally Wound Up Smuggling 7,000 Pounds of Marijuana with the Pot Princess of Beverly Hills (Dey Street Trade Paperback; 3/24/15; ISBN: 9780062281906; $15.99) is the oh-so-outrageous-you-couldn’t-make-it-up story of an unlikely duo of drug smugglers—as told by the ring leader’s closest friend, and partner in crime. Cady takes readers through the slippery slope that became her downfall, and showcases how these things can happen—even when it was never intentional. This is not just a page turning real-life con story, but an electrifying, firsthand chronicle of how a small-town girl fell down the rabbit hole of vice and corruption. ABOUT MEILI CADY A native of Bremerton, Washington, Meili Cady starred as the lead actress in the Showtime comedy film Chick Magnet, and has appeared on Californication and other television shows. After a brief stint in a federal prison camp for her involvement in the internationally known marijuana conspiracy detailed in this book, Meili began the blog “House Arrest Girl” while she served a year of home confinement. She has since found her passion for writing, and has used it as a tool to reflect, and move on from her mistakes. She currently lives in Los Angeles, and is beginning to return to her acting. Chris Epting

I loved Wriggly in Chicago. But my two favorite baseball fields have always been Cobb Field in Billings Montana and the all new BBT Park in Uptown Charlotte. Chris Epting has written a book thats perfectly designed for the fan of baseball that still believes there's a relationship between the diamond and the fan. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Chris Epting “I can imagine this book in the glove compartment of every true fan’s car, a handy reference to this beloved game no matter where in the country you are.”—Ken Burns, filmmaker and baseball historian Capturing such quintessentially American pastimes as baseball and road trips in one fascinating work, this updated and expanded guide chronicles more than 500 important events in baseball history with detailed descriptions of the event and information on each location. Packed with historical data, trivia, photographs, and baseball lore, entries include the birthplaces of baseball legends, ballparks, museums and halls of fame, final resting places, and many locations that are no longer standing. From out-of-the-way spots to the most popular stadiums in the U.S. and Canada, no site is too small or insignificant to be included in this comprehensive directory. Entries include the Buckminster Hotel in Boston, where the Black Sox planned their fix of the 1919 World Series; the original little league field and museum in Williamsport, Pennsylvania; the birthplace of Jackie Robinson; the place where Mickey Mantle was discovered by a scout from the New York Yankees; and the site of the original Wrigley Field, erected in Los Angeles in 1925. PRAISE FOR ROADSIDE BASEBALL “What a wonderful book. All the ‘stations of the cross’ of our national pastime are here, big and small, telling and frivolous. I can imagine this book in the glove compartment of every true fan’s car, a handy reference to this beloved game no matter where in the country you are.”—Ken Burns, filmmaker and baseball historian “This one-of-a-kind road atlas takes baseball fans across the United States to out-of-the-way spots and near-forgotten sandlots, where the remnants of baseball history still endure: where a plaque marks the spot of Babe Ruth’s first professional home run, where the lights that once illuminated Ebbets Field now shine on Downing Stadium, where the crumbling bleachers of Cleveland’s old League Park still stand as a Greek ruins of baseball.”—The Sporting News “It's a perfect gift for anyone who loves baseball and travel.”—Chicago Tribune “For the fan, this is the ultimate road trip. Chris Epting is the perfect traveling secretary to lead you to all these great baseball stops.”—Joe Garagiola, announcer and former major league baseball player “If it doesn't make baseball fans feels as if they've died and gone to heaven, it'll at least get them to Dyersville, Iowa's Field of Dreams, where the set for the movie of the same name attracts thousands.”—USA Today “As the ‘Spaceman’ I came from Stengel Field in Glendale, Calif., and ended up in the friendly confines of Fenway Park. In between and beyond, I have stood on the same sacred ground of Holman Stadium where Don Newcomb and Roy Campanella played. I have touched the monument of Mickey Cochrane in Bridgewater, Mass. Roadside Baseball is the GPS that takes us to all this and more. You must have it in your glove compartment when you hit the road!”—Bill “Spaceman” Lee, author and former major league baseball player “Reading Roadside Baseball is like spending an afternoon rummaging around in baseball’s attic.”—Jim Bouton, author and former major league baseball player “Los Angeles-based writer Chris Epting has delivered a stand-up triple

John Conlee

Landing a job at KOYN in Billings, Montana was the first step of a radio career 200 feet from going totally digital. Yet close enough to declare a major change was headed our way. In 1979 the world of Country music was swiftly dropping its roots for the Urban Cowboy movement. I was spinning new comers like Reba, Alabama and a kid from Kentucky. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with an artist that kept my first days of radio fired up and running. Mr. John Conlee – Fans of one of Country Music’s most distinctive song stylists have new reason to exclaim with delight as veteran performer John Conlee returns to the radio with the emotional single “Walkin’ Behind The Star,” released on his own RCR (Rose Colored Records) label. The song was written by Nashville industry veterans Ronnie Scaife and Phil Thomas, who collaborated on the Johnny Paycheck hits “Colorado Cool Aid” and “Me and the IRS” together. The touching lyrics were inspired by Phil’s grandfather and great-grandfather, both of whom served in their local sheriff’s department. The song had yet to be cut until recent events made the song a little timelier, and the song was pitched to the Grand Ole Opry star, who was touched by the song’s honesty. “Recent deadly attacks against the people who keep us safe is unprecedented in America and I wanted to sing this song in honor of their sacrifice and willingness to serve,” says Conlee. “Walkin’ Behind The Star,“ can be found on his upcoming release Classics 2, which will feature some new material along with many of Conlee’s latter classics. The set features Conlee hits such as “Harmony,” “Mama’s Rockin’ Chair” and “Hit The Ground Runnin,” which are being issued on CD for the first time since their releases on Columbia and 16th Avenue Records. Conlee recently celebrated the 36th anniversary of his breakthrough hit “Rose Colored Glasses,” and can be found on the road throughout 2015 as well as the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, where he has been a member since 1981. TRACK LISTING FOR JOHN CONLEE / CLASSICS 2 1. Domestic Life 2. Stuff That Works 3. Walkin’ Behind The Star 4. Hit The Ground Runnin’ 5. A Lot Of Things Different 6. Mama’s Rockin’ Chair 7. Love In The Real World 8. Pocket Full Of Crosses 9. Harmony 10. The In Crowd 11. Bread And Water 12. Sure

George Lynch from Sweet and Lynch

Summertime's been set on fire. Metal is back. If you love it loud and not in the kitchen, Cranking up Sweet and Lynch will be your Rock n Roll dinner party every night. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with guitar legend George Lynch SWEET & LYNCH is a brand new band centered around the talents of guitarist/vocalist Michael Sweet of Christian hard rockers STRYPER and iconic guitarist George Lynch (LYNCH MOB, ex DOKKEN) along with bassist James Lomenzo (ex MEGADETH, WHITE LION, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and drummer Brian Tichy (ex WHITESNAKE). “SWEET & LYNCH was born as the brainchild of Serafino Perugino, President of Frontiers Music”, recalls Sweet. “He asked me to basically sing on this record and then I suggested producing it and co-wrote the songs with George”, continues the singer. Brian Tichy and James Lomenzo were then called in to complete the lineup. Now a complete a band, plans are being formulated to rehearse and book a tour to play the music included on this amazing debut album “Only to Rise” to the fans in a live setting. “It’s an incredible combination of classic 70’s and 80’s”, tells Michael Sweet. “You will hear some flavors of Journey, Bad Company, Dokken, Van Halen and Stryper. James and Brian are amazing musicians. They tore it up. The drums and bass are just as impressive as the guitars. Everybody really delivered... The musicianship level on this is top notch. It sounds as if we were all in the studio playing together and we were not. Basically, George wrote some riffs about a minute to a minute and a half long. I wrote lyrics and melodies then arranged them. Then Brian and James came out and tracked the drums and bass, as well as some rhythm stuff. We then sent it back to George to add the guitars." The combination of Sweet’s powerful, crystal clear vocals and Lynch’s unmatched guitar tone, provide the force and drive that the album needed. The result is truly a “state of the art” Hard Rock album, with fabulous melodies played to perfection. An absolute must for all fans of Sweet and Lynch's musical stylings! SWEET & LYNCH Michael Sweet – lead vocals, guitars George Lynch – lead guitars James Lomenzo – bass guitar Brian Tichy - drums

Dave Barry

Writers hardly ever get the credit for being the pilots they've been hired to become. To quickly whisk an imagination away! But as that writer. How many get to use their true voice? From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the always vibrant Dave Barry. New York Times-bestselling author and Pulitzer Prize-winning humorist Dave Barry should be a happy man. And if all that isn’t enough, he’s had a long and rewarding career that consists of being able to write pretty much any random thing he wants. Yet the harsh truth is that happiness is an elusive thing, and fortunately Dave tells how to capture it—or not—in LIVE RIGHT AND FIND HAPPINESS (ALTHOUGH BEER IS MUCH FASTER). Join Dave Barry on March 18th as he discusses his new book of essays that, according to Dave, "may seem pretty random, but in fact there’s an underlying theme, which is happiness.

Nick Di Paolo

If you like your comedy on the edge. If you love to laugh at the stuff people whisper about. If you totally take your humor of that invisible line. You're gonna love this guy. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with comedian Nick Di Paolo If you've never seen Nick Di Paolo live, this intimate setting captures the essence of what makes him stand out from other comics. "Another Senseless Killing" is 56 minutes of funny, ferocious, but always clever material. In Di Paolo's fifth special he skillfully mines the humor in such light hearted topics as Suicide and Roadside Memorials while also educating you on the finer points of A**hole Bleaching and the Evolution of Pornography. Nick Di Paolo’s honest and acerbic comedy has made him a sought after voice on stage, television and radio for years and earned him two Emmy Nominations for writing. Di Paolo’s career took off after he appeared on “HBO’s Young Comedian Special”. He has since written and performed four standup specials and four CDs. Dennis Hof. Heidi Fleiss and Ron Jeremy The Art Of The Pimp

But what if it was legal in every state? In many circles those are fighting words. But what is it like to be one of the most successful men in America and your job is running the Bunny Ranch? From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged with Dennis Hof, Heidi Fleiss and the legendary Ron Jeremy. Owner of seven legal brothels and nicknamed “The P.T. Barnum of Booty,” Dennis Hof has skillfully built the world’s number one brothel business, becoming the world’s most famous pimp and one of the most innovative and subversive marketers in the country. Now, with THE ART OF THE PIMP, Hof opens up about his quest for love, romance, and beauty, and the family life he has created for himself within the walls of his brothels. Featuring an original comic strip created by celebrated cartoonist Robert Grossman (sample panels attached), a full, uncensored psychological evaluation of Dennis, scorching relationship postmortems from a few of his ex-girlfriends, and with appearances by a famous cast of characters who have entered the BunnyRanch’s orbit (including Heidi Fleiss, Andy Kauffman, Ron Jeremy, Tony Clifton, and Ron Paul), THE ART OF THE PIMP will take readers on what can only be described as a wild ride through Hof’s countless sexual conquests, romantic failures, and business successes. Revealing the unexpected details behind his personal journey as well as the secrets of how his “girls” negotiate the highest prices for their services, Hof teaches the secrets of the business of love and sex and the tricks of turning tricks—all while sharing the scandalous stories behind his friendships with porn stars, prostitutes, and politicians. Kirkus Reviews writes: “[Dennis Hof is] a bit of a romantic, as witnessed by his lifelong pursuit of love…[and he] takes himself more seriously than one would expect, considering that one of his nicknames is "the P.T. Barnum of Booty," but that's probably why the BunnyRanch has thrived for the last two-plus decades under his watch—and it shows no sign of slowing down.” HEIDI FLEISS INFORMATION (FROM BIOGRAPHY.COM Heidi Fleiss is best known as the "Hollywood Madam" of a high class prostitution ring that catered to wealthy clients like Charlie Sheen. Heidi Fleiss is an American businesswoman and criminal who was born on December 30, 1965 in Los Angeles, California. After dropping out of high school, Fleiss launched a high class prostitution ring that catered to stars like Charlie Sheen. Dubbed the "Hollywood Madam," she was charged for pandering in 1993. Her "Black Book" of clients (which she never revealed) became as famous as her trial. The jury sentenced Fleiss to three years in prison. Born in Los Angeles, California. One of six children born to a prominent pediatrician, Fleiss dropped out of high school at the age of 16. After receiving her high school equivalency, she briefly attended Valley College and later Santa Monica College. Fleiss worked as a waitress, before beginning a relationship with financier Bernie Cornfeld. In 1988, she was introduced to Elizabeth Adams, a longtime Beverly Hills madam who dealt exclusively with a wealthy clientele. In 1990, Fleiss launched her own high-class prostitution ring and soon became known as the "Hollywood Madam." In 1993, she was charged by the state of California with five counts of pandering. The case went to trial and a jury convicted Fleiss on three of the five counts. She received the mandatory minimum sentence of three years in prison, but in a 1996 appeal the conviction was overturned after jurors admitted to vote trading and other infractions. The following year, Fleiss was tried in a federal court, where she was convicted of tax evasion and money laundering. She received a 37-month sentence, which she served at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California. All three trials drew extensive media coverage, as it was speculated that Fleiss might reveal the names contained in her now infamous "black book" of customers (which was said to include large numbers of prominent citizens). Notably, actor Charlie Sheen testified at her trial that he alone paid Fleiss $53,000 for the sexual services of prostitutes.

Tony Barrell Born To Drum

The moment my parents left the house. Thunder roared from the middle bedroom upstairs. I vowed to be a drummer and ended up gigging in a radio station. Fro the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Tony Barrell BORN TO DRUM: The Truth About the World’s Greatest Drummers—From John Bonham and Keith Moon to Sheila E. and Dave Grohl by Tony Barrell, an extraordinary book about the world’s most primitive instrument, and the musicians that have made it legendary. Beating the hell out of a drum kit is hard and demanding work. Listen to Ringo Starr yelling that there are “blisters on me fingers” at the end of the Beatles’ “Helter Skelter”, or Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden summarizing his drumming injuries (“I’ve busted my nose, given myself a few black eyes, and I’ve hurt my hand a few times and buggered my thumb up”) and it’s clear that drummers give everything they’ve got—even when it hurts! Because, as Cherisse Osei puts it, “you have to carry on: it’s like an unwritten law.” And yet drummers are often viewed with derision—stereotyped as crazy, borderline psychotic, or just plain dumb. But as every musician knows, to have a great band, you need a great drummer. “A band without a drummer is like a rocking chair that somebody has cruelly bolted to the floor: while it may appear to rock, it actually doesn’t. And yet drums don’t simply add rhythm to the music we listen to: these apparently primitive acoustic instruments bring drama, warmth, texture, and humanity to it as well.” —Tony Barrell, BORN TO DRUM For the first time, journalist Tony Barrell shines a long-overdue spotlight on these musicians, offering an exciting look into their world, their art, and their personalities, and giving them the respect they rightfully deserve. Lovers of music and music history will delve into a narrative full of interviews with some of the most famous and revered drummers of our time—including Chad Smith, Ginger Baker, Clem Burke, Sheila E., Phil Collins, Nick Mason, Patty Schemel, Butch Vig, and Omar Hakim—who share astonishing truths about their work and lives. He investigates the lives of late, great drummers such as Keith Moon and John Bonham, analyzes many of the greatest drum tracks ever recorded, and introduces us to the world’s fastest drummer, the world’s loudest drummer, and the first musician to pilot a “flying drum kit” on stage. Tony Barrell takes us back in time to explore the colorful history of the drums, and he reveals some of the world’s “secret drummers” – the famous actors, singers, and politicians with little-known drumming skills. He asks why people become drummers, and what qualities they need, and finds some surprising answers. Filled with fascinating stories and facts, BORN TO DRUM elevates drummers and their achievements to their rightful place in the culture of the world. ABOUT TONY BARRELL Tony Barrell is a British journalist who has written frequently on pop music and popular culture for the Sunday Times, among other publications. Topics have included The Beatles, Abbey Road Studios, the longest songs ever recorded, the history of tribute bands, the world’s strangest concert venues, and the exercise music used by celebrities. Among the many music stars Barrell has interviewed and profiled are Ronnie Wood, Jimmy Page, Ginger Baker, Shirley Manson, Joan Baez, the Dixie Chicks, and Celine Dion. He lives in London.

Richie Furay

The age of great songwriting is back. One of the best has always been the energy behind Buffalo Springfield and Poco. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Richie Furay Legendary singer-songwriter and author RICHIE FURAY is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee for his work with Buffalo Springfield, a group he formed with Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Bruce Palmer, and Dewey Martin. In addition, he was recently inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame for his work with Poco, alongside bandmates Jim Messina, Rusty Young, George Grantham, and Randy Meisner and Timothy B. Schmit. Before Buffalo Springfield, Furay performed with Stills in the nine-member group, the Au Go Go Singers (Roy Michaels, Rick Geiger, Jean Gurney, Michael Scott, Kathy King, Nels Gustafson, Bob Harmelink, and Furay & Stills), which was the house band for the famous Cafe Au Go Go in New York City. Stills moved to LA and called Richie with the news that he had formed a new band and to come on out. Upon arrival, Furay found out the ‘band’ was just he and Stephen. Within days Neil Young and the rhythm section joined in, and Buffalo Springfield was born. In the late 1960s, after Buffalo Springfield disbanded, he formed the country-rock band Poco with Jim Messina (who produced albums and occasionally played bass for Buffalo Springfield) and Rusty Young. Despite the success of the band with Richie’s songs and its influence on the genre, Furay departed in 1974 and created the country-rock super group Souther Hillman Furay Band. He remained with the group until 1975 when each member parted ways to pursue their respective solo careers. Over his career, Furay has had success with his songs “Kind Woman” for Buffalo Springfield, and “Pickin' Up The Pieces” and “Good Feelin' To Know” with Poco. With two books under his belt—“For What It’s Worth,” which chronicles the life and times of Buffalo Springfield, and “Pickin’ Up The Pieces,” his own life journey—Richie will hit the road in support of his upcoming CD titled Hand In Hand, his first solo album in 8 years. The first single, “We Are The Dreamers,” was written about the formation of Poco. The cover of Hand in Hand features the wedding photo of Richie and his wife of 48 years, Nancy. The two met at the Whisky-A-Go-Go in West Hollywood, where Nancy caught his eye and became the inspiration behind Buffalo Springfield’s, “Kind Woman.” The title track of the new record, “Hand In Hand,” serves as a follow-up song to the Buffalo Springfield hit, which is also featured as a bonus track. “Just when you think ‘it was a nice run,’ you realize it’s not over…especially when one day you wake up and songs are flooding your heart and mind that you know you just have to document and preserve,” says Furay. “’Hand In Hand’ was that confirmation for me – I’ve learned to say ‘never say never.’ Who knows where this collection will land, but I’m sure glad I get to share these songs with a world that knows music really is the universal language.” Hand In Hand will be released on eOne Music on March 31, 2015.

Moments. You never know when a true moment is going to happen. But when it does. The moment has to be shared. This moment is about two comedians. Fixtures of laughter. Still locked on their passions. Two friends that found a moment. A place to sit back and catch up. And I was the fly on the wall that got to document the call.

KC From KC And The Sunshine Band

The energy has always been his expression. To this day his songs electrify dance floors. Wait until you see what his new collection of songs will do for those who love Beach Music. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with KC from KC and the Sunshine band. Celebrating Over 40 Years Together, The Band Transcends Over 200 Musical Appearances in Films, Television Commercials, TV Shows and Video Games It's been over forty years since KC and The Sunshine Band danced onto the music scene, transforming the landscape of pop music, and creating a signature sound spanning generations young and old. With sales of over 100 million records, nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award, they are still known today as one of the most progressive bands of the 70s; and in the midst of a millennial, digital age, their music is still discovered daily by millions around the world through its continual placement in top box office movies, TV commercials, TV shows and video games. This month, the band celebrates international recognition with 1984 hit "Give It Up," licensed for use in one of the leading scenes in blockbuster action movie, KINGSMAN: The Secret Service -- marking over 200 on-screen musical appearances for KC and The Sunshine Band. Whether the scene is fun and light-hearted or violent like in KINGSMAN, (where "Give It Up" plays as the villain acts out his infernal plan), and new Australian indie film, Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, (where "Get Down Tonight" is the anthem of choice as the lead character, a mad scientist, goes to town on terrified, live "cadavers" in his lab), KC and The Sunshine Band seems to have created an R&B, funk and disco infused soundtrack for pretty much every type of scene imaginable, whether its scored by music supervisors out of irony, or logic. "It makes me happy to know that my music has withstood the test of time," said Harry Wayne "KC" Casey. "Disco and funk have never really gone away. Look at Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' current No. 1 Billboard smash, "Uptown Funk." That song takes it back to the sound of my day. I'm glad to see my musical style being preserved not only on-screen but in current radio hits too." Over the past forty years, the list of films and commercials KC's music has been summoned for is seemingly endless. In the early 70s, at the height of the KC and The Sunshine Band phenomenon, they made their on-screen debut with "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty," in Top of the Pops and The Brady Bunch Hour, before "That's The Way I Like It," made its way into a comedic skit in Saturday Night Live. Then, in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, viewers and KC were reacquainted once again in Deuce Bigalow, Blow, Legally Blonde, Austin Powers, Saving Silverman, Rush Hour, The Simpsons, Dr. Dolittle, Forrest Gump, The Players Club, Space Jam, Picture Perfect and She's So Lovely, to name a few. More recently, in 2010, Sun Life Financial enlisted KC and his band as actors in its TV ad, humorously commissioning the band to change their name to the "SunLife Band," and their Saturday Night Fever hit, "Boogie Shoes," made its resurgence in 2014 in a Raisin Bran commercial. Other modern-day hit series like Scandal, The Big Bang Theory, Dancing With The Stars, Lovelace, Three Many Weddings, and EastEnders have all featured KC's music within the past two years. Furthermore, this March, Director Mark Moormann and Beacon Films, LLC will bring the music and career legacy of KC and The Sunshine Band to the Miami International Film Festival in the feature-length documentary THE RECORD MAN, capturing the life of KC's long-time producer and record executive Henry Stone. Though so much history is written, KC and his band are not ready to call it quits. Their long-awaited new album Feeling You! The 60s, will impact stores, iTunes and Amazon on Tuesday, March 10. A tribute to the era that shaped H.W. Casey into the revolutionary artist he became in the 70s, the brand-new release is part one of the two-part Feeling You project, and features covers of songs by sixties legends Bob Dylan, Ben E. King, The Kinks, The Righteous Brothers, Jackie DeShannon, Aaron Neville and many more. “I’m excited for my fans to hear this album,” said KC. “I really went outside of the box vocally and creatively. Feeling You! The 60s is autobiographical, showing how I feel about love, life and the world through the music of that era.” Pre-order the album on Amazon here: http://hyperurl.co/kcthe60samazon, and look for it on iTunes beginning March 3. Fans who purchase the album early will receive the "instant grat" free track download from the album, "You Really Got Me," (originally recorded by The Kinks). ABOUT KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND KC and The Sunshine Band aim to serve a single purpose: to create instant happiness through music. For over 40 years the group has done just that, topping the charts with seven No. 1 singles and three triple platinum albums, winning three Grammy® Awards, including Album of the Year for the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, an American Music Award, and becoming the first act since The Beatles to score four No. 1 pop singles in one 12-month period in 1976. KC and the Sunshine Band’s unique meeting of Caribbean, pop, R&B and Latin inspired infectious grooves and their distinctive Sunshine Sound, impacting the world over and teaching them how to boogie. The band’s infectious sound has given life to countless ad campaigns, hundreds of movie soundtracks and numerous television shows, including the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2014. In 2001, KC was honored with the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences Governor’s Award, the highest honor given by a chapter of the Academy. The band’s infectious sound gives life to countless ad campaigns and hundreds of movie soundtracks. KC and The Sunshine Band has defined dance music and forever influenced music with its timeless sound and mission of getting people out of their seats to celebrate, which is still being fulfilled today. Lee Majors from Do You Believe

You've seen today's headlines. You know what stress is doing to people at work. From sickness to unheard of challenges. It's never too difficult to sit back and ask, "Do You Believe?" From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with actor Lee Majors Lee Majors was born April 23, 1939, in Wyandotte, Michigan. He worked as a park recreation director for the City of Los Angeles before entering show business in 1963. He achieved stardom through a variety of popular TV series, including The Big Valley and The Fall Guy. But it was his role as Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man that catapulted the handsome actor into cult status. Actor Lee Majors was born Harvey Lee Yeary III on April 23, 1939, in Wyandotte, Michigan. Shortly before Majors was born, his father died in a steel mill accident. To compound the tragedy, when Majors was around 18 months old, his mother was also killed, hit by a drunk driver as she waited to cross a street on her way to work. Majors didn't find out he had been adopted by relatives until his teenage years, when he found a bundle of newspaper clippings related to his parents' deaths. Majors was raised by an aunt and uncle. Instead of finding devastation in the news, Majors found resolve. "I made up my mind right then that my stepparents would never regret having adopted me," he said "I set out to prove myself." A gifted athlete, Majors attended Indiana University on a football scholarship, before transferring to Eastern Kentucky State College (now Eastern Kentucky University). There, he suffered a back injury that left him paralyzed for a short time. Though he recovered, the experience made Majors put aside thoughts of a career in sports. He graduated in 1962 with a degree in physical education, but had a desire to break into acting. While still a student, Majors married Kathy Robinson. Their son, named Lee, was born in 1962. The next year, Majors and his family moved to Los Angeles, California, where Majors got a job with the city's Department of Recreation and Parks. Soon after the move, his marriage experienced difficulties, and his wife and son went back to Kentucky. In Los Angeles, Majors studied acting with Estelle Harmon at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. Promoted as a "new James Dean," Majors soon began to land small parts. His breakthrough role was in the TV Western The Big Valley (1965-69). The Big Valley gave Majors a chance to learn the ropes from a veteran performer, the legendary Barbara Stanwyck. As he explained to Fox News in 2013, Stanwyck "took me under her wing. She was a disciplinarian and taught me. The main thing was to be on time, know your lines, hit your mark and keep your mouth shut." After The Big Valley ended, Majors appeared on another Western, The Virginian, and then the legal drama Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law. Majors next was cast in the title role in The Six Million Dollar Man, a TV movie that aired in 1973. The Six Million Dollar Man featured Majors as Steve Austin, an astronaut who was rebuilt with bionic technology after an accident. Following this transformation, Austin went to work as an agent for a special branch of the government. The TV movie's success led to a series, which aired from 1974 to 1978 and turned Majors into a huge star. After The Six Million Dollar Man, Majors enjoyed another wave of popularity with The Fall Guy (1981-86). In this action series, he played a stuntman who supplemented his income by working as a bounty hunter. In the 1980s and '90s, Majors also revisited his iconic Six Million Dollar Man role in several TV movies. Majors has continued to work steadily throughout his career. In recent years, he appeared on The Game, Weeds and Raising Hope. In 2013, Majors was seen on Dallas, where he shared scenes with Linda Gray. Lee Majors has been married four times. He first married actress Kathy Robinson in 1961. The couple had a son, Lee Majors II, before their divorce in 1964. He wed actress Farrah Fawcett in 1973. Their marriage coincided with his work on The Six Million Dollar Man and her role as one of Charlie's Angels. The two popular TV stars often made headlines while they were together. They separated in 1979 and divorced in 1982. Fawcett died on June 25, 2009. Majors' third marriage was to former Playboy model Karen Velez. The couple have three children, daughter Nikki, and twin boys, Dane and Trey, before they called it quits in 1994. Majors married his fourth wife, Faith Cross, in 2002. They live in Houston, Texas. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Jane Lynch "Ms. Lynch is the farthest thing from the kind of self-absorbed professional crybaby so common in the cabaret world. Tall, lean and innately regal, Ms. Lynch is an adventurous singing comedian with an ear for esoteric cultural goodies. Tina Louise Late Phases

"Titian-haired" is the manner in which actress Tina Louise is usually described. Despite her numerous comic performances, she prefers to be regarded as a serious actress; according to some of her co-workers, her preference in this manner often takes the form of an ultimatum. Louise was born near Brooklyn, where her father ran a candy store. She studied drama at Miami University, the Neighborhood Playhouse, and the Actors' Studio. A nightclub singer in the mid-1950s, Louise came to Broadway as Appasionatta von Climax in the original 1956 production of the musical Li'l Abner. Two years later she made her first film, the then-torrid God's Little Acre. By the early 1960s, Louise was shuttling between Hollywood and Europe, often appearing in productions of the shoestring variety. Louise is fondly remembered for her three-year (1964 through 1967) stint as Marilynesque movie star Ginger Grant on Gilligan's Island, though she despised the role and made no secret of it on the set. Nor did she wish to have anything to do with the Gilligan cartoon and TV movie follow-ups of the 1970s and 1980s, choosing instead to carve a reputation as a versatile, no-nonsense actress, though she eventually capitulated and appeared in The Castaways on Gilligan's Island. Though she would go on to make other film and TV appearances in the decades to come, even penning a children's book and earning her helicopter pilot's license, Louise would forever remain the most well known for the role of Ginger. ABOUT THE FILM LATE PHASES: NIGHT OF THE LONE WOLF There's something awful hiding in the woods and it's coming after the unsuspecting in the gripping and acclaimed LATE PHASES: NIGHT OF THE WOLF. From the director of Penumbra, Cold Sweat and Here Comes The Devil, the horror film will be available for Digital Download and on Blu-ray and DVD from Dark Sky Films on March 10, 2015. Blind war veteran Ambrose McKinley (Nick Damici) has recently moved to Crescent Bay, a seemingly peaceful community on the outskirts of a dense forest. On his first night in his new home, McKinley hears his elderly neighbor attacked by something he's convinced isn't human. When the creature then kills his seeing eye dog, McKinley's thirst for justice turns into a one-man vendetta against the monster that's terrorizing his neighborhood. And when he's stonewalled by both the police and his fellow residents, he decides to gear up and prepare to fight the beast one-on-one. Now it's man vs. myth as the take-no-prisoners McKinley readies himself for what could be his final battle. With a stunning lead performance ("Nick Damici is great" - Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com), director Adrian Garcia Bogliano's LATE PHASES: NIGHT OF THE LONE WOLF is a suspense thrill ride unlike any other. The Dark Sky theatrical release also stars Ethan Embry (Cheap Thrills, Eagle Eye, Vacancy) and Tina Louise (Gilligan's Island, The Stepford Wives). Bonus Features on the Blu-ray and DVD will include: Commentary with Director Adrian Garcia Bogliano, Making Of Featurette and the FX Featurette. An Official Selection at SXSW 2014 and the Fantasia Film Festival, LATE PHASES: NIGHT OF THE LONE WOLF has received widespread acclaim. Jeannette Catsoulis of The New York Times called it "a sprightly horror movie." "A masterpiece of the werewolf genre," said Patrick Cooper of Bloody Disgusting. "Like Liam Neeson's The Grey but with the ass-kicking ending those 'Neeson vs. wolves' commercials promised,” wrote Matt Barone at Complex.

Olivia Cooke Bates Motel Season 3

From executive producers Carlton Cuse ("Lost," "The Returned") and Kerry Ehrin ("Friday Night Lights," "Parenthood") "Bates Motel" serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho and provides viewers with an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates unravels through his teenage years. Season 3 promos here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TO12MVSPng https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBO7ulcFeB4 After a blissful summer of closeness with his mother, living within the safe confines of home and the Bates Motel, Norman’s fears about what really happened with Blaire Watson resurface and Norma questions what really happened. Forced to look at the truths about Norman for the first time, their deeply intricate relationship continues to evolve. Norma finds herself turning to the other man in her life, Norman's half-brother, Dylan (Max Thieriot) and begins to rely on him in ways that she never expected. This relationship inevitably triggers jealousy in Norman and a new kind of love triangle between Norma and her two sons erupts. Estranged brother and uncle, Caleb (Kenny Johnson) returns to haunt the family throughout the season challenging the family bond even further. Pressures of the outside world take a hold of the family when newcomers Kevin Rahm (“Mad Men,” “Desperate Housewives”), Tracy Spiradakos (“Revolution”) and Ryan Hurst (“Sons of Anarchy”) arrive at White Pine Bay. After a summer of living at the Bates Motel, Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) and Norma have grown closer but there will always have that troubling question mark surrounding Norman. Something doesn’t feel right, but spite of his instincts, Romero finds himself continually drawn back to the Bates family -- and to Norma. Emma (Olivia Cooke) also determined to find out what is happening to Norman becomes more emboldened, fearless, goes after the things she wants. Familiar face, Bradley (Nicola Peltz) returns to surprise the family and digs up old memories. OLIVIA COOKE PICKED AS ONE OF SUNDANCE FESTIVAL’S BREAKOUT STARS (FROM THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) Six months ago, Olivia Cooke shaved off her luscious auburn locks to play a teen with cancer in the film adaptation of Me & Earl & the Dying Girl. "While I was in the bubble of the film, it didn't feel like a huge thing, but when I came out of the film, that's when it was more difficult," says the English actress, who lives at home with her mom in Manchester when she's not on set in Canada shooting A&E's Bates Motel (she plays Emma, a teen with cystic fibrosis). Cooke, who starred in Universal's horror film Ouija, has also nabbed a coveted role in Paramount's big Ben-Hur remake, slated to shoot early this year. Memorable moment shooting the movie: "There were a few. I'd just shaved my head and there's a scene when I'm in the bed when Greg [Thomas Mann] comes to visit me and tries to make light of the situation. It was really difficult." Memorable audition: "There was an audition for a remake of a Disney film, a live-action adaptation. I think I was the first person in the room, and the director kept saying, 'Be more magical! Be magical!' and I didn't know how to be magical. I was trying to widen my eyes more, but it was just not working." Role models: "I love Kate Winslet. I think as far as role models go, she and Carey Mulligan; they're so wonderful and understated. It seems effortless." Best advice: "On my first film, The Quiet Ones, I had to do this quite taxing scene and it involved nudity, and I told Jared Harris I was so afraid. And he told me, 'Don't let anyone take advantage of you.' And I think that applies to anything. Don't let anyone take advantage of you, or make you feel extremely uncomfortable." If you weren't an actor, what would you be doing? "Probably a jewelry maker. I've just started trying my hand at making jewelry. Just really delicate rings and necklaces. I'm saying this — but I've only made one ring." TV show you can't miss: "Peaky Blinders. And Broadchurch." Immediate career goal: "I'd like to not play a girl with an ailment again. (Laughs.) I'm being typecast — I think I must really look really sick. It's always a challenge and I'm really happy to get those characters, but I'd like to maybe play someone healthy. Maybe an athlete!" OLIVIA COOKE BIO Olivia Cooke was born in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. She studied ballet and gymnastics before discovering her passion for acting at the age of eight. From there on she began training in the drama program at Oldham Theatre. She was cast in numerous commercials and appeared in the One Direction video Autumn Term. Upon graduating from the Oldham Theatre School, Olivia won the supporting role of Meg Demoys in the British drama series Blackout (2012). Later that year she appeared in the British horror mini-series The Secret of Crickley Hall (2012), as Nancy Linnet. Olivia's breakout role was appearing alongside Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga in the American TV series Bates Motel (2013), a prequel to the film Psycho (1960). In it, she played Emma Decody, a teenage girl suffering from cystic fibrosis who has a crush on Freddie's character, Norman Bates. Bates Motel was Olivia’s first American role and her first American audition. Bates Motel gave Olivia the exposure she needed stateside and as a result she began getting work in feature films. Her first role following Bates Motel was alongside Brenton Thwaites in the sci-fi thriller The Signal (2014), which premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Despite her success, Olivia was hoping to continue her studies and auditioned for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England. Although she made it to the final round of auditions, in the end, she didn’t get accepted into the school. However, the same day she received her rejection letter, she was cast in the horror film The Quiet Ones (2014). Olivia stars opposite Jared Harris and Sam Claflin. Olivia continues her run in the horror genre in the film Ouija (2014) and recently finished playing a young woman with cancer in the drama Me & Earl & the Dying Girl (2015), for which she shaved her head.

Thomas John

What happens when we die? Renowned psychic medium Thomas John is one individual who, due to his special ability to communicate with the other side, is able to answer that question with a fair degree of certainty. Through his communications with the dead, he has learned a number of life lessons that he shares in this book. “In this book, you won’t find many references to super consciousness and chakras, channeling (when I used that term around my dad, he said, ‘Is that the verb for flicking the TV channels late at night?’), and other psychic mumbo-jumbo. I’ve decided to keep it simple and honest.” —from the book Included are 15 fascinating stories of what happens when clients ask him to contact their dead friends and relatives. He assists a 30-something New Yorker who was unable to stop fantasizing about suicide and move on with her life until John conveys healing words from her dead fiancée. In another chapter, he encounters a grieving young woman in a drugstore and relates the advice from her dead six year old son. And in one particularly haunting story, John, with the help of a murder victim, solves a case that had baffled the police. In each story, we learn about life on the other side and lessons the deceased have for the living. Each chapter is a felicitous combination of good story telling and healing wisdom. We learn that the dead are eager to provide guidance to the living, that they watch over us, and they continue to grow and evolve on the other side. Most importantly each story reveals that both the dead and the living are capable of tremendous and profound forgiveness. "I've been to many mediums.Thomas is by far the most accurate one. Spot on!" -Jenny McCarthy, actress and author “Thomas John's way with words will hit home with everyone! His loving memories of his father especially made me smile and I could relate. Living with this ability is what you make of it and Thomas has chosen to use his wisely!” —Concetta Bertoldi, author of Do Dead People Watch You In The Shower? “Reading Thomas John's Never Argue With A Dead Person is like having a best friend who's a great storyteller and happens to be able to commune with the dead; endlessly fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable. As with all great books and life itself, the hours fly by and you wish it would never end--and it doesn't!--it stays with you long after the last chapter ends.” -Monte Farber & Amy Zerner, authors of The Soulmate Path, The Enchanted Tarot, and Quantum Affirmations ABOUT THOMAS JOHN Thomas John (aka Manhattan Medium) is one of the most popular psychic mediums in the US. ABOUT THE MOVIE GRACE, ON DVD, BLU-RAY AND ON DEMAND NOW Gracie (Annika Marks) knows hangovers. She’s intimately acquainted with them. But this time, why did she wake up, half-dressed, on a Florida beach, 1100 miles from home? Suspicious and distrustful of everyone, including a café owner (Sharon Lawrence) with a troubled history of her own, Gracie prefers the relief of alcohol – which had always worked for her. However, when she’s arrested for public drunkenness, Gracie is given a choice: six months in jail or 90 meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous in 90 days, and she has to do it in the small town she’s landed in. And though she’s not used to strangers caring about her, perhaps the power of community can help her sidestep the landmines lining her path to sobriety – especially the ones she’s laid herself. Rooted in powerful performances by Annika Marks (“The Sessions”) and Sharon Lawrence (“NYPD Blue”), GRACE compassionately looks at the disease of addiction through a young woman inching towards redemption.
