In 2014, LB moved to Little Rock hoping to attract a larger audience for his two bands. Unfortunately, he couldn't make ends meet by performing so he recently started working on the assembly line for a tractor company. LB is hoping "The Voice" will give him the opportunity to concentrate on music full time. LB also enjoys producing music, photography and writing screenplays.

Emmy Award-winning political journalist Jessica Yellin, former Chief White House Correspondent for CNN, makes her debut as a novelist with SAVAGE NEWS (Mira Books).  As a smart, feisty and serious-minded female reporter jockeys for recognition in a world of rapid news cycles, short attention spans, and manufactured news, she encounters cut-throat competitors and predators at every turn. Can she hold onto her journalistic ethics and still triumph in a landscape that has become one giant reality show?
Natalie Savage has transferred to Washington, D.C. on temporary assignment as White House correspondent for the news network ATN. It is a dream gig for a political journalist who has worked the trenches for more than a decade, and Natalie wants the job permanently. She knows from the start it will be tough, but she has no idea the kinds of ridiculous hoops she will be made to jump through to prove herself worthy. ATN has a new CEO determined to get profits up, and if that means sacrificing solid journalism for mob-pleasing hyper-news, well, serious journalists such as Natalie just need to suck it up. But can she?
Getting the White House assignment means open competition with Ryan McGreavy, a twenty-six-year-old frat boy with political connections and supercilious charm, but no experience. When the network decides to publicly pit Natalie and Ryan against each other to see who can win the affections of viewers, Natalie soon discovers she is the underdog. Even her bureau chief seems to be plotting against her to win Ryan the job. Natalie swallows her pride, enduring sharp and hurtful criticism and suffering through a pricy (and potentially hazardous to her health) makeover to win favor. But sacrificing her hard-earned pride in being a good journalist is harder to accept.
When diplomatic events involving a visiting Colombian leader and his rape-accused playboy son erupt at the White House, Natalie loses the plumb assignment to Ryan. But they can’t place this simmering newswoman on the back burner for long. Soon, an unexpected connection to FLOTUS gives Natalie the leg-up she needs to prove herself and conquer the powers that are doing their best to keep her down.

"I heartily hurrah this hormonal hagiography."- Patton Oswalt
"The R-rated Rosetta Stone of celluloid abandon, a must-read for multiple generations"- Allan Arkush, Rock 'n' Roll High School
"This book is good for people who like teen movies. Teen movies are good for people who like gratuitous nudity. I am those people!"- Gilbert Gottfried
"Anyone who remembers sneaking into theater showings of flicks like Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), The Last American Virgin (1982), and Porky's (1981)-or staying up late to watch them on cable without mom and dad knowing-is going to love the awesome new book Teen Movie Hell." -Dangerous Minds Nerds! Jocks! Vans! Bikini-swiping dogs! Prepare for TEEN MOVIE HELL, an inferno of pranks, proms, pools, and puberty coming this April from Mike "McBeardo" McPadden and Bazillion Points Books.
Born in the drive-in theater backseats of the 1970s, the demonic visions of Teen Movie Hell (ISBN 978-1-935950-23-3) fueled the VCR, cable TV, and shopping mall multiplex booms of the 1980s before collapsing in the 1990s in a pixelated pile of cable dissipation and Internet indulgences. Between George Lucas's American Graffiti in 1973 and Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused twenty years later, lust-driven laugh riots on the order of Animal House, Porky's, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Revenge of the Nerds boomed at the box office and conquered pop culture by celebrating adolescent misbehavior run amok.
Puberty-powered comedy classics including Meatballs, Caddyshack, Valley Girl, and The Last American Virgin fused hormonal overloads with anti-authority abandon and below-the-belt slapstick to create a genre that also unleashed the anarchic, sex-mad likes of The Swinging Cheerleaders, H.O.T.S., Hardbodies, Private School, Joysticks, Spring Break, and Zapped! as well as the mainstream variations Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Pretty in Pink.
In more than 350 reviews, all-seeing author Mike "McBeardo" McPadden (Heavy Metal Movies) passes righteous judgment over the entire genre, one boobs-and-boner opus at a time. The book also features contributions by Eddie Deezen (Grease, Midnight Madness, Zapped!), Kat Ellinger (Diabolique), Wendy McClure (The Wilder Life), Katie Rife (The Onion AV Club), Samm Deighan (Diabolique), and Kier-La Janisse (House of Psychotic Women), plus guest reviews by Lisa Carver (Rollerderby), Heather Drain (Video Watchdog), Christina Ward (Feral House), Rachel McPadden, and Liz Mason (Quimby's).
Tap the keg, tailor your toga, and belly flop hard into the exploitation inferno of bikinis beaches, locker rooms, summer camps, study halls, wayward teachers, cool camp counselors, wet-T-shirts, custom vans, sexy ESP, shower peepholes, and other overlooked penal code violations!
MORE QUOTES "Prepare to be transported back to a carefree era of flagrant boners, panty raids, shower snooping, binge drinking, and that first awkward backseat grope session. Is there any genre more disrespected and misunderstood than the teen sex comedy? Thank God for this book!" - Robin Bougie, Cinema Sewer
"McPadden's nostalgia-fueled masterpiece is a VHS-scented whirlwind of virgin angst and pizza parties. If only this book had existed in the actual '80s, the world wouldn't be the toilet it is today."- Zack Carlson and Bryan Connolly, co-authors of Destroy All Movies!!!: The Complete Guide to Punks on Film
"This book captures everything I loved about all of those sexy and scandalous teen flicks I snuck downstairs to watch when my parents thought I was sleeping. Sweetly nostalgic and playful, but also reflective and incredibly thoughtful, Teen Movie Hell is the book the world may need right now."- Amanda Reyes, author of Are You in the House Alone? A TV-Movie Compendium, 1964-1999

TV’s first polyromantic comedy is back for season four on AT&T AUDIENCE Network. What began as an impulsive date between suburban husband Jack (Greg Poehler) and neophyte escort Izzy (Faia) spins into a whirlwind three-way affair that includes Jack’s wife Emma (Blanchard). Over a span of 10 days, their arrangement becomes something else entirely: A real romance with real stakes involving real people.

In season four, the trio has moved back to the ‘burbs to start their unconventionally conventional family together, but what if they can’t quite jam their triangular peg into the smooth round hole that is Hawthorne Heights? Are they tempting fate by becoming the dreaded “polymonogamists”, rejecting the open spirit of polyamory so they can wedge back into the life they know? Something’s gotta give, and it just might be the peculiar romance that turned their lives upside down... for the better.

Nora McInerny

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17753397" data-resource="episode_id=17753397" data-width="100%" data-height="350px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="show" data-playlist-continuous="true" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="true" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="false" >Listen to "Nora McInerny Releases No Happy Endings" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

NO HAPPY ENDINGS is a new memoir with more heartbreaking and hilarious meditations from Nora McInerny (Dey Street Books; March 26, 2019). Life isn’t always happy, but it isn’t the end—there will be unimaginable joy and incomprehensible tragedy through it all. As Nora reminds us, there will be no happy endings, but there will be new beginnings.
The New York Times says Nora’s podcast interviews are “a gift to be able to listen [to],” and her writing is no different.
Nora was grief-stricken by the death of her husband, father, and miscarriage of her second child within months of each other. A widowed, single mother of a young son, she found herself creating a new life from a series of unexpected choices.
Today, Nora is remarried, and mothers 4 children ranging from a toddler to a teen. Sounds like a happy ending, right? Sort of! But while her new circumstances bring her extraordinary joy (and hilarious stories), her life is tinged with sadness over her losses.
Nora is known for bringing heart and humor to the toughest of topics, using her personal story about living through loss, grief, and new beginnings to inspire a deep connection with people. In an interview, she can discuss:

            • Humor, Grief, and Loss: Being a widow is awkward, and often humorous. Nora started the Hot Young Widows club, a group of women (and men!) who have been through significant loss and are helping each other get through it.
            • Nonprofit Organization and Entrepreneurship: Nora has found meaning in her work launching Still Kickin, a nonprofit in memory of her late husband, which provides financial support to people going through awful things.
            • Motherhood, Blended Families, and Feminism: Nora parents four children and is in love with two men, one dead and one alive.
            • Internet, Storytelling, and Personal Narrative
            • Cancer, Brain Cancer, Death, and Dying (and everything that goes along with it—doctors, health insurance, and why we shouldn’t have to crowdfund tragedy)

Nora  brings empathy and wit to difficult subjects from gun control to sexual assault to healthcare, and has contributed to Elle.com, Cosmopolitan.com, Buzzfeed, Slate, Time, Vox, and more.

About the author:  NORA MCINERNY IS a reluctant expert in difficult conversations. As the host of American Public Media’s Gracie Award winning podcast Terrible, Thanks for Asking, Nora brings empathy and wit to difficult subjects from gun control to sexual assault. Nora is a contributor to Elle.com, Cosmopolitan.com, The Minneapolis Star Tribune, Buzzfeed, Time.com, Slate and Vox, where she’s often tapped for her essay pieces highlighting the emotional landscape and humor in complex topics, like the financial impacts of healthcare and grief in a digital age. She founded the non-profit Still Kickin and the Hot Young Widows Club, an online group of people who have lost their significant other.

According to the Arms Control Association, the United States and Russia possess about 90% of the world’s estimated 15,000 nuclear warheads.
As of today, there is just one nuclear arms control treaty in place between the two nations— New START. It is uncertain if President Trump or Vladimir Putin are willing to either extend or renew the treaty set to expire in 2021.
With the very real likelihood that we’ll be without any arms control agreements if both countries fail to extend the New START treaty, the big questions are: what does a world with no arms control treaties look like? How can we preserve our national security without the transparency that are the real purpose of treaties?
To study these daunting challenges and provide findings to the appropriate government agencies, CNA, the non-profit research and analysis organization, has done an in-depth analysis of the risks and policy options for a future of nuclear arms control without a treaty

He went on to attend the well-known Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts with a focus on vocal performance, which he continued through college. After being in a rut for a few years, he jumped on the opportunity to move to China for a nine-month hotel singing tour. China was life-changing for Julian and now he's ready to show America his talents on "The Voice."

Hamlet Sarkissian

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17742591" data-resource="episode_id=17742591" data-width="100%" data-height="350px" data-theme="dark" data-playlist="show" data-playlist-continuous="true" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="true" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="false" >Listen to "Hamlet Sarkissian Releases Lovers In The Fog" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

Love is in the air… but so is the cold war. Hamlet Sarkissian’s Lovers in the Fog (Page Publishing, April 2, 2019) intermingles a search for romantic completion with a quest for human rights in Gorbachev-era Russia. While the story is set in the late 80s, it is impossible to ignore the parallels with today’s tense political climate, where echoes of Cold War rhetoric emanate from news outlets and officials debate over America’s relationship with Russia.

As the son of a prominent dissident in Soviet Armenia (the former USSR), Sarkissian was unlikely to grow up and live in Los Angeles as a successful filmmaker/author. His father, Vache Sarkissian, was a political prisoner during the Cold War and spent 18 years in KGB prisons and Soviet Gulag labor camps as punishment for resisting the dictatorial and tyrannical central government.

Sarkissian was a first-hand witness to the unfolding drama derisively labeled the “Evil Empire” by United States president Ronald Reagan – where ordinary people tried to live their lives peacefully while Russian authorities responded with psychological warfare. Daily life as the son of a political prisoner shaped his worldview, but rather than normalizing the constant surveillance and fear, Sarkissian explored an internal drive to improve the human condition through art; as a young man he was accepted to the prestigious Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography.

Finding life in the Soviet system unbearable after his father’s suicide in 1987, he emigrated to the U.S., sponsored by the International Institute of Human Rights. Here, he developed into a new breed of artist, passionate about justice and driven to tell vivid, unforgettable stories that awaken people to important issues lurking just below the surface – like his feature drama film "Camera Obscura" (2000).

Given the virulent political climate in the United States today, and the destructive polarization of the media, Lovers in the Fog offers an opportunity to hear unfiltered truths about Russia, Communism and the courageous dissidents who sacrificed their lives to share the truth.

Told from the point of view of Luke Forsythe, an American human rights attorney who goes to Russia to teach local dissidents how to reform their civil laws, the story opens with Luke embarking on a solo drive up the east coast of the United States to rendezvous with the love of his life, a mystery woman who went missing a decade before.

During the drive from Key West to Montauk, the open road provides Luke with a canvas upon which he paints his memories, desires and deepest fears. His love affair, his new family and his efforts to extricate dissidents from Gorbachev’s Russia are vividly remembered and parsed so he can filter truth from reality

Ron Underwood From 9 Electric

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17742502" data-resource="episode_id=17742502" data-width="100%" data-height="350px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="show" data-playlist-continuous="true" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="true" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="false" >Listen to "Ron Underwood From 9 Electric" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

The Light" showcases 9Electric and Carla playing on a stylized city rooftop that looks straight out of a comic book. The music video is the brainchild of frontman Ron Underwood, who filmed and directed from start to finish. "The actual video shoot for 'The Light' was a piece of cake," Underwood explains. "I shot each person individually in front of a green screen in a garage with a couple of lights."

All hands were on deck while filming "The Light." Guitarist Mikey Lopez assisted Harvey in particular. "Working with Carla was so much fun... I stood off to the side as she did all of her takes and hit play and stop on the playback music. You know, the glamorous, behind-the-scenes Hollywood stuff!" he shares with a laugh. He goes on to say, "Just like in the recording studio tracking her vocals, Carla completely rocked it and was a total pro."

The challenges came during the editing process, but Underwood was ready to rise up to the occasion. "It was my first time using Element 3D, but I knew exactly what I was going for, and could see it in my head," says Underwood. "I don't think anybody - myself included - thought it would turn out as slick as it did! The trick was stylizing each scene so technical limitations wouldn't jeopardize the blurred line between live action and the pseudo-realistic cartoon universe."

Lopez adds, "The finished product is incredible, and I couldn't be more proud of the job Ron did on the video."

I always have a blast stepping away from the comedy stage to take a break inside the green room.  Once there the vibration of thought changes from having to be funny to locating every new avenue of where listeners are and how long do you keep their attention.  John has a blast on and off the stage with a keen eye focused on the business of building and crafting new ways to get inside the funny bone of the passerby.  We jump onto several subject such as having a manager that happens to also be your manager.  What about podcasting?  Any movies on the way?  The answer is wait until you see his next project.  John's passion in life is animation and comics. John always has a quality driven replay that turns every moment into a very happy place.

Omarosa Manigault Newman has spent 20 years in politics, is a veteran of two White House administrations, a chaplain, and a citizen who deeply cares about our country. UNHINGED (Gallery Books; on sale April 23, 2019; Trade Paperback) was an instant #1 New York Times bestseller and is now in paperback with a new foreword!
In the new foreword, Omarosa Manigault Newman discusses how Trump tweeted his disapproval of her book:
"If you praise him, he loves you. If you're critical of him, he calls you a loser. That tweet didn't upset me. It fit the pattern of how he reacts whenever anyone-especially a former staffer-comes out against him. He called me 'that dog.' Trump had accused people of acting 'like a dog' before, but this was a new low. He called me an animal. The president of the United States had resorted to calling a woman, a former trusted friend, a slur with obvious racial overtones."
And where she thinks Trump is now:
"Right now, in the West Wing, Trump is probably sitting in his private chambers, in front of his wall of televisions, with a can of Diet Coke and a plate of fried chicken, screaming at whoever happens to be nearby, blaming the media for his problems, and feeling the squeeze."

Following the release of their successful first album Resurrection, MICHAEL SCHENKERFEST is currently recording their second album, co-produced by Michael Schenker & Michael Voss, which is tentatively scheduled to be released in August.

The news is bittersweet as the band recently mourned the passing of beloved MSF drummer Ted Mckenna.

Michael comments, "We are totally heartbroken to hear about Ted McKenna - our amazing drummer and dearest friend - passing away. It’s a massive shock and a huge loss to lose Ted so suddenly. He always had a smile on his face and was one of the most sincerely genuine people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. One of the great rock drummers, he always played from the heart and his heart was music.  Rest in peace Ted, we will miss you x.”

The band also announced they will be welcoming back Simon Philipps and Bodo Schopf - who each played drums in MSG - to the Michael Schenker Fest line-up.  Simon who played on the MSG debut album will return as the main drummer on the upcoming second album. Due to his schedule, he is unable to be the live drummer for the upcoming US tour. This role will be completed by Bodo Schopf, who played on Perfect Timing and Save Yourself. With the sudden passing of Ted Mckenna, Bodo will be featured on the upcoming record but in a smaller role as he had the important job of preparing for the US tour.

Michael states, "We are very grateful to Bodo for being a team player and working out with Simon what needs to be done in order for us to continue as smooth as possible and also to Simon for helping us to make it all possible. Bodo is the perfect choice to continue as the permanent drummer for Michael SchenkerFest. It is a perfect balance between the musicians from the past. It includes everything as a family to continue Michael SchenkerFest."

Bodo comments, "I am very sorry that Ted had to leave us under these tragic circumstances, and I'm proud to rock for him and all the Michael Schenker fans. RIP Ted.”

MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST will kick off their US tour on April 15th at the Whisky A GO GO.  The trek will include performances in Vancouver, Chicago, and New York before concluding on May 18th in Austin. TX!

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17689294" data-resource="episode_id=17689294" data-width="100%" data-height="350px" data-theme="dark" data-playlist="show" data-playlist-continuous="true" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="true" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="false" >Listen to "Kate T Parker Releases The Heart Of A Boy" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

For generations, we have taught our boys the most important trait they can have is to be stoic and unemotional—and traits that do not fit that mold should be suppressed.  In the wake of #metoo, school shootings, bullying, and other toxic behavior, it’s more important than ever to reflect on what we are teaching our boys they need to be.  Put simply, we need to redefine our expectations of them—and nurture all the attributes that make them who they are: the sensitive and the strong, the creative and the silly, the kind and the curious.
Amid a growing national conversation around boyhood, THE HEART OF A BOY: Celebrating the Strength and Spirit of Boyhood (April 2, 2019; Workman Publishing; $18.95) by Kate T. Parker seeks to positively redefine masculinity at a moment when the country is grappling with how to raise boys to become good people. Parker’s 2017 blockbuster bestseller Strong Is the New Pretty struck a chord throughout the nation and beyond. A gorgeous and inspiring photographic celebration of girls being themselves—fearless, silly, wild, stubborn, proud, fierce—it garnered outstanding media attention and support from the Spice Girls, Drew Barrymore, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman, and Emma Watson. It challenged the idea of what it means to be feminine and expressed so clearly that beauty comes not from how you look but from being true to yourself. Now, in this stunning new collection, Parker turns her lens to boys. Because when given permission to be themselves, boys will not only grow up to be the truest version of themselves but will grow up to be men who will support and respect girls and women.
Filled with powerful, moving photographs of the many ways there are to be a boy—a boy’s heart is kind, a boy’s heart is independent, a boy’s heart is curious, a boy’s heart is resilient—accompanied by thoughtful quotes from each subject, THE HEART OF A BOY challenges the notion that boys need to be tough and stoic above all else. Rather, they contain multitudes. Meet Mason, age 6, who pronounces “I like to try new things. I believe in myself.” Matias, age 9, who exclaims “It’s not about what you look like, it’s about your heart.” And Ryan, age 7, who says “I want to be president because I am helpful, kind, and nice.”
About the Author
KATE T. PARKER is a mother, wife, Ironman, and professional photographer who shoots both personal projects and commercial work for clients across the world, which include REI, Verizon, American Express, and many others. <a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17680854" data-resource="episode_id=17680854" data-width="100%" data-height="350px" data-theme="dark" data-playlist="show" data-playlist-continuous="true" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="true" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="false" >Listen to "David Browne Releases Crosby Stills Nash And Young" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

Fifty years ago this May, one of rock & roll's most enduring and contentious brotherhoods began when David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash released their classic album Crosby, Stills & Nash. The trio almost immediately became a quartet when Neil Young joined them, right in time for the historic Woodstock festival that August 1969. That performance, alongside Crosby, Stills & Nash songs like "Wooden Ships" and "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," announced the arrival of rock & roll's first "supergroup." Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young had been assembled from the remnants of Buffalo Springfield, the Byrds, and the Hollies. But the new sound the four men created-rich in harmony and shot through with social commentary-defined a sensibility and an era.
In time for these 50th anniversaries comes David Browne's CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG: The Wild, Definitive Saga of Rock's Greatest Supergroup (Da Capo Press, an imprint of Hachette Books, 4/2/19). The most up-to-date biography of the legendary band, the book takes readers through five decades of drama and music of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and (sometimes) Young. Using new interviews with David Crosby and Graham Nash and many comrades, including Judy Collins, Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, John Sebastian, the Byrds' Roger McGuinn, and the late Pegi Young, David Browne weaves together pivotal moments of CSNY history: the albums both finished and abandoned, the generation-defining performances, the excesses and arrests, the stories behind some of the most influential songs, the dust-ups, and the reunions-both amicable and otherwise. In vivid, novelistic detail, Browne reports on many of their most extraordinary stories: the inside tale of the machinations of how Young came to join the trio; revealing new details on the mayhem of the making of their classic quartet album Déjà vu; Crosby and Nash's (wildly embarrassing) mid-tour softball game against up-and-coming rock star Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band; Stills' many wild tales; new insights into Crosby's dramatic fall from addiction and his shocking resurrection; their interactions with everyone from Jimmy Carter to Donald Trump; and never-before-revealed insights into the making of their 2000 and 2006 reunion tours.
The sweeping story of rock's longest-running and most dysfunctional musical family, CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG is the book classic-rock fans (and those who've discovered their music for the first time) have long awaited: a detailed history of a band whose career successes-amidst personal failures and dramas-came represent how the "free-love" fantasy of the '60s deteriorated into the "Me Decade" excess of the '70s and the survival of the boomer generation well into their seventies.

I Am Somebody’s Child tells the journey of a young African American girl (Angela Fairley) who navigates some 30 foster homes and psychiatric facilities before age 18, and the one woman, Jeanne (Ginnifer Goodwin), with whom she developed a deep bond. After Jeanne’s unsuccessful attempt to adopt Regina due to a racially motivated ruling, their bond is forced apart. Twenty-five years later, Jeanne is finally able to adopt Regina in the same courthouse that denied them previously.
Charismatic Regina Louise is an author, child advocate and motivational speaker. She successfully navigated through more than 30 foster home placements and psychiatric facilities as a ward of the California Juvenile Court system. She was abandoned by her late father in the 70’s as he left to pursue his musical interests. Regina wrote about the experience in her book I Am Somebody’s Child: The Regina Louise Story, now a Lifetime movie premiering Easter weekend.

If there ever was a time to build an American hemp industry, the time is now.
In Jesse Ventura's Marijuana Manifesto, former Minnesota Governor teamed up with Jen Hobbs to explain why it's time to fully legalize cannabis and end the War on Drugs. Through their research, it became clear that hemp needed its own manifesto. Jen Hobbs takes up this torch in American Hemp.
December of 2018 marked a largely unprecedented victory for cannabis. The 2018 Farm Bill passed and with it hemp became legal. What the federal government listed for decades as a schedule 1 narcotic was finally classified as an agricultural crop, giving great promise to the rise of a new American hemp industry.
Filled with catchall research, American Hempexamines what this new domestic crop can be used for, what makes it a superior product, and what made it illegal in the first place; the book also delves into the many health and medical benefits of the plant. Hobbs weighs in on how hemp can improve existing industries, from farming to energy to 3D printing, plus how it can make a serious impact on climate change by removing toxins from the soil and by decreasing our dependence on plastics and fossil fuels.
American Hemp lays out where we are as a nation on expanding this entirely new (yet ancient) domestic industry while optimistically reasoning that by sowing hemp, we can grow a better future and save the planet in the process.

William Morrow is thrilled to announce the newest novel from New York Times bestselling author Stephanie Evanovich. Like her last bookThe Total Package which Kirkus called a “sweet and charming…romance full of heart,” UNDER THE TABLE (On Sale 4/16) is a funny, modern-day “My Fair Lady” love story about a sharp-witted young woman who makes over her awkward, sheltered catering client with super steamy results!
Zoey Sullivan has left her dead-end marriage in Cleveland and impulsively fled to New York City, moving in with her older sister Ruth, a successful, vivacious professional with a string of eligible bachelors at her beck and call. But despite her sister’s carefree attitude, Zoey's never been able to sign divorce papers and rejoin the dating scene. Instead, she dodges calls from her ex, Derek, and distracts herself by building up her business as a private chef—hiring herself out to cater private dinners, birthday parties and wedding receptions for Manhattan's elite. Pursuing her passion for cooking was never an option when she was married to Derek, but now Zoey's in her element, and relishing her independence.
When Zoey's hired to prepare a private dinner for reclusive millionaire Tristan Malloy, she's immediately charmed by his perfectly equipped white marble kitchen and his impeccable gentlemanly manners. It helps that he's good-looking too. But it's clear that Tristan, who made his fortune as a computer programmer, is shy and unprepared for the big city. Zoey concludes that he needs to get out more . . . and learn how to dress, dance, and find a woman who will appreciate him. Zoey is sure Tristan has all the right ingredients and that she's the right person to turn them into a delectable dish. But Zoey's unprepared for just how well her "my fair lady" makeover works. Tristan is even sexier with a little confidence and the right wardrobe, and slowly but surely, Zoey realizes she may have found her perfect match—but does Tristan know how her feelings have changed? Or is he just grateful for the exciting new world she's ushered him into? And what will happen when Derek comes to town, looking to win her back?
Stephanie Evanovich is a full-fledged Jersey girl who attended the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts, performed with several improv troupes, and acted in a few small-budget movies, all in preparation for the greatest job she ever had: raising her two sons. A full-time writer with a black belt in tae kwon do, Stephanie is the New York Times bestselling author of three novels: Big Girl Panties, The Sweet Spot, and The Total Package. She is available for phone interviews and would love to discuss not only this wonderful novel, but her entire repertoire of bestselling women’s fiction.
Hot, heartfelt, and humorous, UNDER THE TABLE reminds us that love doesn’t always come at first sight, and that sometimes finding your own way through the world starts with helping someone else. Titled after the nickname Fredette has earned from his sizeable fanbase in China, The Lonely Master, is an intimate 75-minute film that shadows him throughout his astronomical 2017-2018 season with the Shanghai Sharks. It also traces the beginnings of his childhood dream to play in the NBA, and the highs and lows of Fredette’s career, from high school basketball star to record shattering NCAA National Player of the Year to the unexpected end of his five years in the NBA and his deep desire to return. It explores the universal theme of what it takes to make a dream come true, what you do when it seems like it won’t, and the choice to never give up.

The Lonely Master also offers an intimate peek into his upbringing and personal life, including his childhood home, with a contract signed by Jimmer and older brother TJ in 2007 outlining his dream of playing in the NBA, hanging above his bed. The backyard court he grew up playing on, the church building they used to train on weekends and his high school gym are also showcased. Contemporary footage of Jimmer as a new dad weaves throughout his story.

Jimmer Fredette is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Suns. Fredette was the 2011 National Player of the Year in college basketball after ranking as the leading scorer in all of NCAA Division I during his senior season for the BYU Cougars. He was subsequently selected with the tenth overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, but only played limited minutes across four teams over five NBA seasons. He spent the majority of the 2015–16 season in the NBA Development League, during which he won the All-Star Game MVP. In 2016, he joined the CBA's Shanghai Sharks, and during the 2016–17 CBA season, he led the league in scoring, at 37.6 points per game, counting all phases of the season, and won the CBA International MVP award.

Chris Salewicz

The aura of Led Zeppelin was established almost entirely through its enigmatic guitarist. Now, in JIMMY PAGE: The Definitive Biography (Da Capo Press, an imprint of Hachette Books; OSD: 4/16/19; ISBN: 9780306845383; $30), acclaimed biographer Chris Salewicz penetrates the shadows that surround Page to fully reveal the fascinating man who dwells within the rock legend.
"His is an extraordinary story that has taken him to the very darkest of areas - but always driven by the search for his art," writes Salewicz. "You might not approve of the methods employed to unleash and liberate his creativity; and you can't avoid the impression that Jimmy Page was vain, arrogant, fanatical and power-hungry, and indulged in a scandalous private life...but the demonic caricature of evil is mostly an elaborate myth."
Combining numerous interviews with Page and sustained access to his inner circle, along with pain-staking research, Salewicz covers everything from his birth at the far fringes of London's western suburbs (not exactly "on a full moon" as the myth goes) to his first BBC performance; his rise as a session guitarist and touring with The Yardbirds to stratospheric fame with Led Zeppelin; and through his rock star afterlife. Here Jimmy Page emerges as the most revered and respected of all classic rock artists.
