Omarosa Manigault Newman has spent 20 years in politics, is a veteran of two White House administrations, a chaplain, and a citizen who deeply cares about our country. UNHINGED (Gallery Books; on sale April 23, 2019; Trade Paperback) was an instant #1 New York Times bestseller and is now in paperback with a new foreword!
In the new foreword, Omarosa Manigault Newman discusses how Trump tweeted his disapproval of her book:
"If you praise him, he loves you. If you're critical of him, he calls you a loser. That tweet didn't upset me. It fit the pattern of how he reacts whenever anyone-especially a former staffer-comes out against him. He called me 'that dog.' Trump had accused people of acting 'like a dog' before, but this was a new low. He called me an animal. The president of the United States had resorted to calling a woman, a former trusted friend, a slur with obvious racial overtones."
And where she thinks Trump is now:
"Right now, in the West Wing, Trump is probably sitting in his private chambers, in front of his wall of televisions, with a can of Diet Coke and a plate of fried chicken, screaming at whoever happens to be nearby, blaming the media for his problems, and feeling the squeeze."
