Currently in season three, Live PD is the top unscripted justice series on cable. Hosted by Dan Abrams with analysis from Tom Morris Jr. and Sgt. Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin, Live PD showcases the policing of America, following diverse police departments from across the country in real time as they patrol their communities. On Friday, April 19, Live PD will air its 200th episode.
Passionate viewers (called Live PD Nation) tweet faithfully through each episode. In partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the show’s “Missing” segments highlight the stories of missing children. Tips from Live PD viewers have helped law enforcement to recover seven children. The “Wanted” segment, in which law enforcement agencies across the country ask viewers for help in finding suspects wanted in crimes, has led to 13 fugitives being caught.
Abrams brings more than 20 years of reporting and anchoring to the table. He is the Chief Legal Analyst for ABC News and the host of the Sirius XM radio show, “The Dan Abrams Show: Where Politics Meets The Law” which airs weekdays on the P.O.T.U.S. channel. Previously, Dan was the co-anchor of ABC's Nightline, host of “The Abrams Report” and the acclaimed “Verdict with Dan Abrams” on MSNBC, as well as the long time Chief Legal Correspondent for NBC News. Dan also served as General Manager of MSNBC.
Dan’s first book, Man Down: Proof Beyond A Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers, and Just About Everything Else, was a Washington Post bestseller. His latest book is the New York Times bestseller, Lincoln's Last Trial: The Murder Case That Propelled Him to The Presidency.
