Liane Moriarty Big Little Lies

Authors fascinate me! Their ability to take a simple thought and draw pictures in a readers imagination an entire planet away is mind blowing. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with New York Best Selling Author Liane Moriarty Nicole Kidman and her Blossom Films production banner, along with Reese Witherspoon and her Pacific Standard, have optioned screen rights to The New York Times bestseller Big Little Lies. The Oscar-winning actresses will shape the novel by Liane Moriarty as a star vehicle for themselves. Witherspoon’s Pacific Standard partner Bruna Papandrea and Blossom partner Per Saari will produce with Kidman and Witherspoon. The novel tells the comic tale of three mothers of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. The book just got published. Pacific Standard and Blossom Films, both book-smart companies, have been busy. Pacific Standard just produced the Jean Marc Vallee-directed Wild for Fox Searchlight based on the Cheryl Strayed memoir, with Witherspoon starring; the David Fincher-directed Gone Girl; and the untitled Anne Fletcher-directed comedy that stars Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara for MGM and New Line. Books on the Pacific Standard slate include Pennyroyal’s Boot Camp and The Engagements at Fox 2000. Blossom Films is currently filming the Jason Bateman-directed adaptation of the Kevin Wilson novel The Family Fang, with Kidman and Bateman starring together. Blossom produced Rabbit Hole, which got Kidman an Oscar nom, and Monte Carlo. Also in the works are book adaptations of The Silent Wife and Reconstructing Amelia, the latter in development at HBO Films. Australian novelist Moriarty, who’ll serve in a producing capacity, wrote the bestsellers What Alice Forgot, Three Wishes, The Hypnotist’s Love Story and The Husband’s Secret, along with a line of children’s books. (credit: Deadline.com) Last summer, Liane Moriarty delivered her breakout novel, The Husband’s Secret, which landed at number one on the New York Times bestsellers list, has sold more than 1.25 million copies across all formats in the United States alone, and was translated into over thirty-five languages. She’s back with BIG LITTLE LIES (Amy Einhorn Books/Putnam; Publication Date: July 29, 2014), a brilliant novel that explores the realities of modern parenting and schoolyard scandal as it traces the huge impact of the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive. BIG LITTLE LIES follows three mothers, each at a crossroads. Funny and passionate, Madeline is a force of nature. She remembers everything and forgives no one, but she has a huge heart and a complicated blended family that is about to drive her over the edge. Madeline’s best friend Celeste is a traffic-stopping beauty with an equally stunning husband and a pair of five-year-old twins. She’s also harboring a startling secret that no one—not even her best friend—knows. The pair befriends a new single mom in town, Jane, who has moved to their seaside town for a fresh start with her five-year-old son. None of them have a clue that Jane’s arrival will trigger a series of events that irrevocably alters their lives and their community. What begins as a boisterous school fundraiser ends in a riot and a tragic death. Is it murder, an accident…or something else? In her pitch perfect style, Liane Moriarty reveals what really goes on behind closed suburban doors. Her gripping fiction keeps readers wondering how she can possibly resolve the events she’s set in motion, yet she does so flawlessly while her deft plot twists and turns keep us guessing until the very end. Moriarty has mastered the art of writing clever, thought-provoking page-turners with the perfect mix of depth, humor, and darkness

Richard Lewis

I've always believed Pam Stone put a curse on me. "I won't be the only funny person you'll talk with! You'll spend the rest of your life laughing with everybody I once created with and everyone new to the stage!" From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Richard Lewis... A Collection of Some of the Comic’s Finest Work available September 2, 2014 on DVD for the First Time LOS ANGELES, CA – On September 2nd, Video Services Corp. (VSC) will release "Richard Lewis: Bundle of Nerves" featuring the comedian who has turned mental anguish and self-loathing into his own hilarious art form. This two-DVD set is the Richard Lewis collection for all your neurotic needs, containing his much lauded HBO stand-up special Magical Misery Tour, the TV movie Diary of a Young Comic(co-written and staring Lewis) and the brutally honest theatrical film Drunks with Lewis in a dramatic lead role. The collection also contains a bundle of bonus features including brand-new introductions from Lewis, commentary tracks for Diary of a Young Comic (Lewis and co-writer Bennett Tramer) and Drunks (Lewis and director Peter Cohn) and a brand new documentary House of a Lifetime, directed by emerging director Charley Rivkin and created exclusively for this set, which is an unforgettable look at Lewis’s history-filled home. If all that isn’t enough, the cool box cover art is by Richard’s pal, The Rolling Stones’ Ron Wood! “Richard Lewis: Bundle of Nerves” contains three distinct phases in Richard Lewis’s career. Magical Misery Tour is the "Prince of Pain" doing what he does best in his fourth cable special, working live in front of an audience, baring his soul and getting non-stop laughs. This 1997 stand-up special, filmed at the once historic Bottom Line in Greenwich Village, features the comedian in top form, and shows why he is one of the few performers who can go to many dark places, fearlessly, without losing the audience or his mind. Diary of a Young Comic is the 1979 cult classic that stars Lewis as aspiring comedian who agonizes over every detail of life and never seems satisfied with his work or himself. While meeting some interesting LA show biz folks along the way, he eventually converts his fears and worries into a hip and hysterical nightclub act. Directed by Gary Weis of “Saturday Night Live” fame, this TV movie originally aired in the SNL time slot during its classic early days and is now an important piece of comedy history. With a terrific performance by Lewis and some odd comedic cameos, the film has a real feel for Los Angeles and comedy club life in the late ‘70’s. Drunks, based on a hit off-Broadway play, is the groundbreaking 1995 film that uses an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting as the backdrop for a dark tapestry of stories about addiction and survival. Lewis received great reviews and shows a dramatic depth that had only been hinted at in previous work. Directed by Peter Cohn, the film features memorable performances by Faye Dunaway, Dianne Wiest, Spalding Gray, Parker Posey, Amanda Plummer, Calista Flockhart, Sam Rockwell and Howard E. Rollins Jr. In House of a Lifetime, we get an intimate peek at where Richard has lived, nearly overdosed, and created his work for almost 25 years. His house is nestled in the rustic Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles. This is where rock icons also lived and wrote some of the greatest songs of the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. From CSN to Hendrix and Morrison – all called the Canyon home. Amazingly, it’s just a few miles away from where his heroes Keaton and Chaplin made their movie magic. Richard has made his version of a home movie as a special treat just for this collection that documents life inside his house of a lifetime. “I’ve known Richard for a long time and I’m a big fan of his comedy,” explained VSC President Jonathan Gross, “I decided it was high time for him to have his own DVD box set.” “’Bundle,’ which was put together tirelessly by VSC, might be the most important document of my 45 year career” says Lewis. “These wildly eccentric, rare films and specials, which are finally on DVD, span over four decades and are now considered ‘iconic.’ The set is topped off byHouse of a Lifetime, which is a documentary about my historic house/museum in the Hollywood Hills. It’s really an homage to my entire career and love of the arts…and as a world-class recluse, making this film was the only way I could have guests.” In “Richard Lewis: Bundle of Nerves” Richard Lewis and VSC have brought together an anthology that serves up comedy, drama and honesty…all with a side order of angst. They say misery loves company - who knew that misery loves comedy as well? Richard Lewis knows, and this collection truly illustrates the tracks of his fears. Because radio disc jockeys hit the internet for the quick bits about artists. Listeners have never been able to get a full grip on who Michael Buble' is. Until now. You know there's something very right in the world when George Takei wants to play on your radio show. On I Heart Radio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Sulu!!!! Starz Digital Media Presents TO BE TAKEI, in Theaters August 22nd Featuring: George Takei, Brad Takei, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols, Dan Savage, and Walter Koenig Directed by: Jennifer M. Kroot TO BE TAKEI is an entertaining and moving look at the many roles played by eclectic 76-year-old actor/activist George Takei whose wit, humor and grace has allowed him to become an internationally beloved figure. It balances unprecedented access to the day-to-day life of George and his husband/business partner Brad Takei with George's fascinating personal journey, from his childhood in a Japanese American internment camp, to his iconic and groundbreaking role as Sulu on "Star Trek," through his rise as an internet phenomenon with over 6-million Facebook likes. The film shows what it truly means TO BE TAKEI. ***Official selection at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival*** ***Official selection at the 2014 Hot Docs Film Festival*** GEORGE TAKEI QUICK BIO Best known for playing Sulu on the original Star Trek TV series and six movies that followed, George Takei is unlikely social media royalty. Unofficially dubbed the King of Facebook, he counts over 5 million fans in his online empire — including Trekkies, Howard Stern listeners, and the LGBTQ community — who devour his quirky mix of kitten jokes, Star Trek references, heartfelt messages, and sci-fi/fantasy memes. An outspoken advocate for civil rights, Takei has used his unmistakable baritone in several satiric PSAs, including one in response to Tennessee’s infamous “Don’t Say Gay” bill that encourages viewers to say, "It’s OK to be Takei." His current projects include the musical Allegiance, drawn from his experience of growing up in Japanese American internment camps during World War II, and the recently published Oh Myyy! There Goes the Internet.

Jimmy Shubert and Zainab Johnson

From the I Heart Radio Studio. The interview that comes once in a lifetime. Appearing this weekend at Charlotte's Comedy Zone. I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut and I mean very uncut with Jimmy Shubert and Zainab Johnson. Normally I love to do post production. Its not everyday that you're blessed with mind blowing real conversation with real people. Being a writer and a producer can't get in the way of content. Something as simple as adding a rhythm and tone. A soundtrack beneath an interview can steal from the essence of where the conversation is going. I never know where a nationally recognized comedian is going to take me. That's the best part of the ride. If you think I'm sitting in a chair conducting an orchestra. Then you don't know how to interview. I honestly think Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton just appeared in my studio wearing the body suits of other people.

Author Bill Janovitz Rocks Off

December 3-4, 1969. Keith and Mick stood at the same microphone at Muscle Shoals, lights dimmed, splitting a fifth of bourbon, and simultaneously sang the melodies and harmonies on the three songs that they had recorded over three days: “Brown Sugar,” “You Got to Move,” and “Wild Horses.” That’s your rock ‘n’ roll fantasy right there, pal. A six-piece band working in a tiny converted coffin factory across from an Alabama graveyard, on an eight-track recorder, with no computer editing or Autotune, recorded three songs, representing 30 percent of one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll records of all time. So tells Bill Janovitz of the making of the inimitable triple-platinum album, Sticky Fingers, which hit number one in the US and the UK in 1971, skyrocketing the band to superstardom. To Bill, all artists reveal themselves through their work and the Rolling Stones are no different: Each song exposes a little more of their soul. In Rocks Off, Janovitz reveals the forces at work behind the band's music by deconstructing their most representative tunes from their incredible fifty years of record making. Written by a Stones fanatic, this is a song-by-song chronicle that maps the landmarks of the band's career while expanding on their recording and personal history. Much like friends pouring over old records or having a barroom argument over the merits of certain songs, the book presents the musical leaps taken by Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, and the rest of the band and discusses how the lyrical content both reflected and influenced popular culture. The song choices are chronological and subjective; many of them are the classic hits; however, the book digs deeper into beloved album tracks and songs with unique stories behind them. Rocks Off is the ultimate listening guide and thinking man's companion that will spur you to dust off those old albums and listen in with a newfound perspective on one of the most famous and acclaimed rock 'n' roll bands of all time. ABOUT BILL JANOVITZ is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter in the band Buffalo Tom. He has also released four solo albums. He wrote Exile on Main Street about the iconic Stones album in the critically acclaimed 33 1/3 series. He has written extensively for the All Music Guide online site and has also contributed to Boston Magazine, the Boston Phoenix, and Post Road magazine. He lives in Massachusetts with his family.

The Pre-sent Present

Easily I am tackled by the pressures tossed out by others under incredible amounts of stress. I try to bend like the willow. I struggle in silence. It hurts to see coworkers, family and friends in so much pain caused by a world that's aimlessly walking into the storm without a raincoat.

HENRY ROLLINS BIO In describing Henry Rollins, the tendency is to try to squeeze as many labels as possible into a single sentence. “Rollins is many things,” says the Washington Post, “diatribist, confessor, provocateur, humorist, even motivational speaker…his is an enthusiastic and engaging chatter.” Entertainment Weekly’s list includes “Punk-rock icon. Spoken word poet. Actor. Author. DJ. Is there anything this guy can’t do?” TV Guide has more concisely called him a “Renaissance Man”—but if Henry Rollins could be reduced to a single word, that word would undoubtedly be “workaholic.”

Darren Davis Amy Winehouse Comic Book

New to the market of collecting. The Amy Winehouse comic book. Plus we talk about the new Alice Cooper, David Bowie and news about a John Lennon comic book. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Darren G Davis Bluewater Productions has published a new comic book biography on the life of Amy Winehouse as part of their popular Tribute series. Tribute: Amy Winehouse, is eleased this week in honor of the anniversary of her death. The tribute is available in both print and digital. The book was written by Michael L. Frizell with art by Jayfri Hashim and features seven collectable and exclusive covers by Hashim and artist Brent Sprecher. Amy Winehouse, the newest member of the “27 club,” musicians at the height of their career who lost their lives at the age of 27, lived a hard and fast life. Her story, illustrated on her body in the form of tattoos, tells the tell of a talent flaming out long before her time. "Amy Winehouse was one of those artists whose demons both drove her work and led to her untimely death. Writing about her was difficult. As I researched her life and her work, it became increasingly apparent that I couldn't write about her stardom without addressing her illness and vice versa," says writer Michael L. Frizell. "I found myself admiring Ms. Winehouse during the course of crafting this book. I don't think she was a hero, nor do I think she should be propped up as a role model. Tragic artists such as Ms. Winehouse are fascinating to us because we see this woman who seems to have it all - fame, fortune, a thriving artistic career - throw it all away chasing her personal demons. Sadly, we hear of many stories like hers. What sets her story apart is that there's this feeling she'd still be on the charts today if she had been able to conquer those demons," Frizell added. “I fell in love with Amy's soulful, timeless sound immediately upon hearing her voice come over my car radio. I'm honored to be able to contribute, if only in this small way, to the legacy of one of the most talented and, ultimately, tragic singers of our generation,” said cover artist Brent Sprecher. “The Tribute line of comic books tells the stories of people that have made a significant difference in the world while they were with us," says Bluewater publisher, Darren G. Davis. “It is a way for us to honor these people who have made a difference in the world.” Print copies of Tribute: Amy Winehouse can be ordered starting at $3.99 at Comic Flea Market here: http://bit.ly/1jUevSV Upcoming comic book biography subjects include David Bowie, Alice Cooper, and Women of the 1980’s. Bluewater has already created comic book’s on other iconic singers such as Adele, Freddie Mercury, Kurt Cobain, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Keith Richards, and more. You can download this title on Wowio, ComiXology, DriveThru Comics, Google Play, My Digital Comics, Overdrive, Iverse, iTunes, Kindle, Biblioboard, ComicBin, Nook, Kobo and wherever eBooks are sold. Tribute: Amy Winehouse was profiled on Reuters: http://reut.rs/WzCmx1 Interviews and PDF Review copies are available upon request. Please feel free to use the cover image & pages for your publication. Bluewater Comics biography comic book series has been featured on CNN, The Today Show and in Billboard, Rolling Stone, People Magazine as well as many other publication and media outlets.

Tate Stevens

Tour buses take the craziest left turns. From X Factor to the I Heart Radio Studio. I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Tate Stevens Tate Stevens has captured America’s hearts by doing the one thing he does best: being himself. With his powerful vocals, compelling life story and irresistible personality, Tate has won Fox’s X Factor and scored a Top 5 album. He’s also found success when his song “Holler If You’re With Me,” which debuted during a Pepsi commercial that aired during the Grammys, was chosen to be featured during the Southeastern Conference basketball tournament. It’s no surprise that he’s also quickly built a fan base numbering in the millions, especially among working men and the women who love real men. Tate has emerged as a sex symbol of the flyover states, where men are valued for accepting responsibility, respecting women and relishing the simple joys in life. He has a down-to-earth accessibility, a sense of humor that rivals Bill Engvall’s and the ability to put into words what men want to say. “Music drives me,” he says. “It is really deep down in my soul. That is who I am, the music,” he says. “I love performing for people because music makes people feel good. I love it when people say, ‘That song spoke to me.’” Tate is a stand-up guy in a world of superficiality and instant gratification. In life, love and music, he’s in it for the long haul, while never losing that mischievous twinkle in his eye. He’s a man’s man and an expert outdoorsman who would rather install a mirror than peer into one. “I think people see that there’s a realness there,” he says. “I don’t know too many guys that get manicures or shave their chests. I don’t think the majority of people wear fancy clothes. I am the guy next door; everybody knows me. I am your neighbor, the guy who lives down the street.” tatestevensofficial.com

So this tour will have the feel and sound of my music room along with the vibe I was feeling as I wrote the songs.” In addition to the full concert, the DVD and Blu-ray will also feature a Behind-The-Scenes featurette, allowing fans “backstage access” with Justin and his band. For more than 40 years, Justin Hayward has performed and recorded with The Moody Blues, during which the group sold more than 70 million albums. Penning such timeless tunes as “Nights In White Satin,” “Tuesday Afternoon,” “The Voice,” and “Your Wildest Dreams,” Hayward’s songwriting was a driving force in the band’s success. Jesse Fink Building AC/DC The Youngs

Their music. A full right to rock. Their success AC/DC in America didn't happen as it was taking place around the world. How did it affect the Young Brothers? How did AC/DC finally get an open? From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the man that lived it. ABOUT THE YOUNGS: THE BROTHERS THAT BUILD AC/DC Although Malcolm Young has stepped away from the band due to health reasons, the legend of AC/DC roars on… A rare, inside look at George, Malcolm and Angus Young – the brothers who made AC/DC one of rock and roll’s all time biggest bands! Praise for Jesse Fink and THE YOUNGS: “The best book I’ve ever read about AC/DC.” -Mark Evans, former AC/DC Bassist and author of Dirty Deeds “An excellent writer and storyteller.” -The Daily Telegraph “Fink can take a moment and turn it into a vivid experience.” -The Australian With record sales of over 200 million albums, AC/DC is not just the biggest band in the world, it is a family business in every sense of the term. Acclaimed writer Jesse Fink provides a unique look at the band – more critical appreciation than simply a biography – with his new book, THE YOUNGS: The Brothers Who Built AC/DC (available the week of August 4th) Thanks to the raging genius of brothers Malcolm, George and Angus Young, AC/DC has created a sound and passionate following that only a select few groups have ever achieved. As is the case with most businesses, some people prospered and others got hurt along the way to super stardom for the band. Fink’s work is unlike any AC/DC book you’ve ever read. THE YOUNGS tells the story of the trio through 11 classic songs and reveals some the personal and creative secrets that went into their making. During a particularly low point for Fink he was listening to the 1978 AC/DC album, Powerage, one night at home feeling depressed. He says he had an epiphany when “Gimme a Bullet” came on: a song about one of the late, former lead singer Bon Scott’s breakups. Says Fink, “I was like, ‘I finally get what you’re on about, Bon.’ Hearing the lyrics and the pyrocastic flow of sound that the Young brothers create with their guitars in that song was the moment a light went on in my head when it came to AC/DC. I wanted to explore what it was about their music that elicits this primal, emotional reaction.” Fink found that their music is not just good-time music; it’s restorative, almost like a drug. It makes you feel good, powerful and strong, despite all around you. He also discovered that despite the band’s huge international success all these years very little has been written about them and their music. Important figures from the group’s long way to the top open up for the very first time, while unsung heroes behind the band’s ascent to rock legend status are given credit they are due. Accepted accounts of past exploits are challenged while sensational new details emerge to cast a whole new light on AC/DC’s history, in particular their early years with Atlantic records in the U.S. Former AC/DC members and musicians from bands such as Guns N’ Roses, The Dropkick Murphy’s, Airbourne, and Rose Tattoo also give their perspectives on the musical magic the brothers Young produced. Their music has never pulled any punches and neither does Jesse Fink’s book on these rock and roll pioneers. True fans can hear the first couple of chords from “Back in Black,” or “Highway to Hell” and know instantly what’s coming next. THE YOUNGS, though, will fill in the gaps about just who these lads are and why their music has such a hold on their fans.

Kelsea Ballerini

Live Country Music was all over ABC last night. If you got hooked or discovered the sound truly talks to you. Then its time you get to know this newcomer. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Kelsea Ballerini Official Site: http://www.kelseaballerini.com/ Knowing what lies in one’s heart and chasing that vision is how dreams come true. As a young girl growing up in Knoxville, TN, Kelsea's vision did not include the wedding dress and white picket fence that her friends talked about. Instead, Kelsea was dreaming up wardrobe changes and stage sets for the major tour she knew she would embark upon one day. As she launches her debut single on Black River Entertainment, Kelsea is entering country music authentically with a song she co-wrote. “I love this song,” Kelsea smiles as she explains the message behind her new single, “Love Me Like You Mean It.” “It’s just a fun, happy, kind of sassy, quirky, song from a confident girl saying, ‘If you’re gonna do this, do it right.’”

Jon Haber

The video New York, NY (July 31, 2014)— It’s been a long time coming, but Jon Haber has finally managed to achieve a goal he’s had since he was six years old, when he first picked up a guitar, releasing his debut album, DEC3 through his own Raddist label, on Sept. 30. The man who owns the successful New York-based Alto Music instrument retail chain has now come full circle and is back on the other side of the counter, as a musician, songwriter and producer, a lifelong dream come true. “I was in bands when I was younger, but I never stopped writing songs,” says the 49-year-old entrepreneur, who opened his first store when he was 24, temporarily putting an end to his playing career. “I didn’t want to look back when I was 70 and regret I hadn’t done it. I never had the opportunity to prove what I could do on this level.” Haber, who played virtually every instrument on the album, as well as wrote and produced all of the songs, is joined by two longtime collaborators Chris Saulpaugh (singer) and Mike Kalajian (drummer), whose births in three different decades give the band its name. Veteran keyboard wizard Shane Keister (Paul McCartney, Five for Fighting) and Coheed and Cambria’s Zach Cooper also make cameos on the album. With influences that range from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Boston, Radiohead and Foreigner to the Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Peter Gabriel and The Police, DEC3 is music for people who grew up on rock ‘n’ roll and the diversity of AM/FM radio, with indelible melodies, superb playing and memorable choruses. The album’s dozen songs range from tuneful ballads like “In Front of You,” a love song that could well serve as a metaphor for Haber’s own long-delayed ambitions, to anthems like “Where Should I Go Tonight,” which feature Saulpaugh’s yearning Bono-esque vocals. The crunchy “We’re All Friends” has an AC/DC feel and a classic sing-along rock chorus in its story of a renewed high school relationship through Facebook, while the crystal-clear harmonies and cascading guitar riffs of “Simple Mess” reflect Haber’s primary inspiration in the Fab Four. Both “4 Small Black and White Pictures of You” and the sing-song acoustic “Black Kid on a Pink Bike” capture the past with the unerring narrative alacrity of Bruce Springsteen. The first single, “Red Line,” a song telling the story of the Syrian civil war from the viewpoint of a citizen caught up in the massacre, in which hundreds of thousands have been killed, and rapidly losing hope, will be released with an accompanying video on August 6. The song, with a sound byte of President Obama, includes the lyrics: “The leader of the whole free world/Said that he’d help rescue me/But he ain’t trying/He’s just coloring lines.” “This is not about politics,” says Haber. “It’s more of a humanitarian theme. We should have done something, but we did nothing.” As a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), Haber has been an activist, who has lobbied Washington for more music education programs in school. He also appeared in a national American Express Plum Card commercial for his Alto Music stores that stresses “putting instruments in the hands of more people.” His business eventually mushroomed into a musical instrument distribution company and an international manufacturing company. DEC3 is the culmination of a lifelong devotion to music. “I’m doing this because I love it,” Haber continues. “This is a passion project.”

Maddie and Tae

Nashville continues to grow into a new age of fresh writing and harmonies. From the I Heart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Maddie and Tae Hey Y’all! We are Maddie and Tae. Thanks for stopping by and getting to know a little bit about us. I guess let’s start with the basics: we are a country duo out of Texas and Oklahoma. (Maddie being from TX, and Tae from OK). We made the big move to Nashville this year…and even though it wasn’t easy to leave our families, we’ve taken the leap to live the dream of writing and performing songs professionally. We grew up loving Country Music like Shania Twain, Loretta Lynn, and Lee Ann Womack. We always loved how these great artists seemed to speak directly to us…and that is exactly what we hope to do. We write songs from real places….and hope you hear a little of your own story in our songs. When we are not in Nashville, we are on the road taking our music as many places as we can. Hopefully, we will get a chance to play in your town and even get to meet you. For now, please keep coming back and look for updates. Be sure to check out our music and let us know what you think. Thanks for starting this crazy journey with us…we can’t wait to see where it leads! Love, Maddie & Tae

Kevin Sorbo

Big enough to defeat Hulk Hogan and The Rock. Humble enough to appear in yet another Faith Based film. From the I Heart Radio studio. I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Actor Kevin Sorbo God's Not Dead, a film with a modest budget (around $3 million to make) made over $60 million at the box office. The official web site is www.Godsnotdeadthemovie.com Present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that “God Is Dead,” he must prove God’s existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class. If Josh fails to convince his classmates of God’s existence, he will fail the course and hinder his lofty academic goals. With almost no one in his corner, Josh wonders if he can really fight for what he believes. Can he actually prove the existence of God? Wouldn’t it just be easier just to write “God Is Dead” and put the whole incident behind him? GOD’S NOT DEAD weaves together multiple stories of faith, doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to action. The film will educate, entertain, and inspire moviegoers to explore what they really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions. GOD’S NOT DEAD features a talented cast of actors including Kevin Sorbo (SOUL SURFER, HERCULES, ANDROMEDA), Shane Harper (GOOD LUCK CHARLIE, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2), David A.R. White (BROTHER WHITE, REVELATION ROAD and JERUSALEM COUNTDOWN), and Dean Cain (LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN), with special appearances by “Duck Dynasty’s” Willie and Korie Robertson.
