Desiree Hartsock

Desiree Hartsock shares her secrets for a beautiful, blissful, budget-friendly wedding in her first book, entitled MY FAIRYTALE WEDDING: Planning Your Dream Wedding Without Breaking the Bank Desiree Hartsock was the star of Season 9’s "The Bachelorette,” on ABC-TV. In the book, Desiree walks every bride-to-be through "wedding planning 101,” drawing on over ten years of working as a bridal stylist and wedding gown designer, as well as the "in-the-trenches” time she spent planning her own wedding with Chris Siegfried, whom she met on TV show. (FYI, Desiree and Chris have just celebrated their first anniversary and are expecting a baby.) MY FAIRYTALE WEDDING reveals the secrets to becoming a B.O.B. (Bride-On-a-Budget), with tips on how to: • choose the best wedding day, time, and place after considering travel and lodging for guests, logistics in the layout (like dance floor size), seasonal deals, and the weather • find inspiration for the right wedding style, colors and themes—whimsical, beachy, sophisticated, rustic • tap into your DIY talents and free online templates to design important paper goods—"Save the Date," invitations, the program, table place cards • shop strategically for the perfect wedding gown, from when to consider off-the-rack, what and who to bring to a fitting, and how much time and money to budget for alterations • select the best and most cost-effective florist for creating boutonnieres, bridal bouquets, table arrangements, and more. STORY ON DES AND CHRIS FROM E! Desiree Hartsock and husband Chris Siegfried have some exciting news...They're expecting their first baby come fall! Just over a year after they tied the knot, the couple—who were made famous on the ninth season of The Bachelorette—has confirmed they are pregnant, discovering the news during a Valentine's Day trip to Maui earlier this year, according to Us Weekly. "I kinda knew, like, 'You know something, I think I'm pregnant,'" she told the publication. "We were in Hawaii when we went for our one-year anniversary. That's when we took a test and found out!" Since then, the reality star admits she's definitely been a victim to the cravings. "Each day is something new. Like one day I'm like, 'Babe, I really need Italian.' And then the next, it's Mexican and the next it's dessert for dinner," Desiree said. "[Chris] is just so supportive and if I'm craving ice cream, he's like, 'Okay, let's go get it!'" Meanwhile, the pair said "I do" on January18, 2015, in Palos Verdes, Calif., two years after Chris proposed to Desiree on the season finale of The Bachelorette. "They were so excited to get married. They didn't want to wait another day," an insider shared with E! News at the time. "When Chris first saw Des walking down the aisle he was amazed at how beautiful she was. The ceremony was very emotional and sweet. They kept it very short and they walked out holding hands and kissing."
