It’s no secret that Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, better known as Dan + Shay, are very familiar with the open road thanks to their wildly successful “Obsessed Tour” and neither is their love for pets. Their puppy fever is quite evident in their music video for their first No. 1, “Nothin’ Like You,” and whenever possible the duo helps raise awareness for shelter dogs in need. Dan + Shay agree, road tripping is a time for hours of conversation, music, fun and most importantly, keeping Dan’s dogs Chief, Joy and Ghost and Shay’s dog Pippa, safe and happy. Traveling with pets is becoming increasingly common. According to the American Pet Products Association, nearly 40% of pet owners take their animals with them when they travel, up from 19% about ten years ago.
