Born in College Station, Texas, Abilene Maverick knows a thing or two about pride, showmanship, tradition and family. Raised on sports and competition, Abilene had to vie against her siblings to earn her father’s attention—ultimately emerging victorious to take her place as the apple of the powerful patriarch’s eye. When her father passed away during her final year of college, Abilene was left devastated. It wasn’t until her mother—herself a cunning woman with a long career in the competitive political scene—suggested she pursue a career in wrestling, as a tribute to her father, that the young girl’s life began to take on a greater meaning. Proudly bearing the title of ‘The Governor’s Daughter’, Abilene came to WOW Abilene, bringing a southern sweetness that quickly endeared her to her fellow Superheroes. But underneath the perfectly put together façade lurks a ruthless determination, driving her to do everything in her power to be the absolute best, no matter the cost.
They will kick off an that season with a spotlight on the legendary WOW Superheroes. Each event features intense matches that blend hard-hitting action with the theatrical flair that has come to define the promotion over the years.  WOW’s roster boasts over 30 highly skilled wrestlers—each with their own unique personalities and backstories inspired by the women behind the Superheroes—competing to win the coveted WOW World Championship.
WOW is fueled by Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss; wrestling icon and the creator of GLOW, David McLane; television trailblazer Mark Burnett, President of MGM Television and Digital Group; and Mark Cuban’s AXS TV.
