Unplugged and Totally Uncut Throwback February 27th

Throwback Saturday on Unplugged and Totally Uncut...

Artie Lange by far is one of the funniest people to hit the comedy stage. One thing he's not afraid of is talking about the entire path he's faced. It honestly leads to more laughter. Because that's what he does. In all things life there's a laugh. 10am post

Weekends are my time to catch up with movies that may have been released in the past but if it's never been seen then it's always brand new. Arabella Oz from When The Straight Light Ends posts at 1pm

One of the greatest Punk Rock bands has been Bad Religion. But you probably don't know the real story. Finally after decades of living life the hard way a book has been released. Do What You Want. 4pm post

Unplugged and Totally Uncut February 26th

Today Friday February 26th on Unplugged and Totally Uncut...

Katty Kat and Claire Shipman are in the right place at the right time. Three years ago they reached beyond the walls of what people expect from self help and get into the hearts of young adult readers. They're back with Living The Confidence Code. It showcases the stories and journey's of the young girls that've changed the world. 11am post

A brand new weekend has quickly made it's place on the Google Calendar. Three new movies are right there with it. Ryan Jay reviews The United States vs Billie Holiday. Not your average bio-pic. It focuses in on how the U.S. government was trying to break her down not only because of her excessive drug use but a single song they wanted out of the public. It's on Hulu. Also on the flat screen is The Father from Anthony Hopkins. Right away you'll see why the film and Hopkins are up for awards. It's an extremely powerful movie that gets into your head and heart to the point of messing with what you may think is the plot. Then it's finally happened the return of Tom and Jerry. Ryan Jay's review puts it up there with Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The characters have ben updated so well! A total must see. Try to experienced on the big screen. 1pm post

Gio Benitez is known for grabbing the attention of viewers. Now he's teamed up with A&E to ignite the experience of what it's like to survive a crime. Once a story is no long on the front page what's next? How can the scene of a crime be broken down? 4pm post

Then we're Playing It Forward with singer songwriter Miranda Glory. Her experience in songwriting came from emulating her two older sisters when they began writing music. She wrote a break-up song at 15 and coped with her emotions by writing. She comes from an artistic background growing up in New York where she attended the Professional Performing Arts School. She also attended Berklee College of Music and graduated in 2016 with a degree in songwriting. She has written songs for various artists, including DJ R3HAB. 7pm post

February 26, 2021

I’d love to be a fly on the wall.  To watch the way people wake up.  I know how silly and whacked out I must look.  That first step of the morning might as well be on Mars, “NASA the lack of gravity is making me feel a little wobbly.” I honestly find incredible joy in waking up at 4:30am.  Probably because I’m usually meditating at 3:00am. Nidra is some pretty powerful stuff.  Through patience and the art of listening the journey becomes your physical walk on earth.  But hey that doesn’t guarantee a bright beautiful day.  Once up I write.  Nothing happens until I write.  That’s the daily discipline 27 years strong.  There are days though when the page sits empty.  I can never assume it’s going to fill itself.  The censors are ringing too loudly.  I can’t move.  The censors want to choose what it shall breathe.  The censors!  Those voices in your head and heard that are judging you at 4:30am.  The other side of my personality is shouting, “You can’t allow the censors to have control!  It’s all about free form. This is not a one lane street in a one traffic light town.”  The censors!  It’s not always a cool place to be.  Spiritually speaking being too open always has a way of inviting spirits that have already flown.  Oh heck yes!  Those censors want your past ghosts and skeletons to help injure your morning rise and shine.  No wonder most writers instantly label their moment with the term: Writers Block.  From there the next step is to huddle up in a corner to do nothing more than wait for another creative opportunity.  Yeah not me.  Not a well thought out first step on a planet waiting to be discovered.  Absolutely we all feel like we’re locked behind several layers of unperfected new age habits, guilt, shame and doubt.  Let it go.  No anger. No sadness. Don’t be the only rover on the surface of a self-created Mars taking snap shots of what looks like a desert floor.  Push the play button.  If it’s stuck push it again.  You really are here.  Let the censors know of your presence.  Prove your strength by recognizing your rightful place in this new day.

Don't Wait For Reality To Bite

February 25, 2021

Gonna get real.  Maybe too real.  Cuz in this age of uncertainty the act of keeping real was what we did before Covid 19.  Now we have an excuse to lock ourselves down without having to deal with what’s real.  But it is.  And when it happens. For a moment you’re shocked.  But you’ve been reading about the mental conditions of all people, not just adults and teens but every age.  The mental conditions in the aftermath of this pandemic have been and continue to take their invisible toll.  I say invisible because texting isn’t talking.  Emails aren’t conversation.  Posting pictures on Instagram isn’t reality.  The core of our inner being has been cornered in a very small dark room for nearly a year.  It didn’t feel real while it was happening and as we slowly climb our way back to the sunlight it still doesn’t come across as being real.  All people, especially teens and younger have had to mentally deal and only a pinch will admit that it’s made them a little distant. Without outlets, hidden speak barely cuts into the river banks keeping stale water from flowing.  I’m on the front line!  I hear parents, “Oh the kids are fine.  It’s good that they’re getting back to school.  Everything’s gonna be great.  No problems here!”  We are the generation that can’t seem to stop setting reality aside.  Young minds don’t have the mental experience to learn how to block out or build in other areas of expression.  Even that is wrong.  But we do it.  To deal with it we bury our interests in social media.  The new normal must come with new goals, missions and a desire to face the questions.  Hear me please.  We aren’t professionals but there are people who are.  Don’t wait until reality bites. Don’t wait until a family member gains a little courage to make that call, “I’m not thinking right.”  A little courage is all it takes in a world overtaken by judgement.  My father would always shout, “Get over yourself!”  We aren’t professionals but there are people who are.  Your child is communicating in a language you don’t understand because our minds are elsewhere.  Hear your child before reality bites.

One Of Those Nights

February 24, 2021

We’ve all had one of those nights.  You know!  One of those nights.  No matter how hard you try to distance yourself from the night the physical actuality of your accountability is facing one of those nights.  At 12:05 this morning I chose to write.  The words splashed into place aren’t supposed to be understood but rather used as a place in the presence of what was the Now.  I wrote:  I walk through this house as if I’m a ghost.  Am I still alive? I’m viewing all the artwork on the walls.  I know the story of each piece.  I remember what was required to invite the expression into the world I had during that place of Now.  What happens to all of this when time says I can no longer be here?  I’m heavily and deeply inspired by the presence of how an artist can let go of their expression.  I feel something different in every piece.  Each speaks its own language and I hear it.  My home is never dark.  I have late night lighting.  I’m addicted to always being aware.  I need to know where my next step will be planted.  And when I go there, the art on these walls is right there with me.  I hold onto these moments of Now like it’s a favorite book.  They teach me how to escape.  This is where I apologize to the creative self.  For the pain that consumes my body, is it real or just part of the past 52 weeks of a pandemic?  A shut down.  The sudden unexpected twist of a career you thought you had control of until time put us in a place of new age survival.  There’s so much to still learn.  Therefore we should all wear the slippers baring the name of humble.  If you listen to the stories of the passerby you’ll learn more than binge watching another episode of Schitts Creek.  There’s absolutely nothing wrong with admitting to yourself that it’s ok to be weak.  Keep checking in with that side of your personality.  In time, the physical actuality of your reality will be what you make of the moment.  Yeah, it’s all changed.  Everything worked for has a new image.  Your position of responsibility is an essential job you once ignored and now through experience you’re learning newer ways to connect with a fast paced guest who holds no interest in how you used to be.  One of those nights always leads to one of those mornings.  How we decide to limit ourselves or push forward is the existence of presentation.  Have we reached the stage of life where we don’t want people to know what we used to do?  We are well aware of the actuality of Now.  There’s no reason to make it the conversation.  The next step should be what we were endlessly taught in martial arts.  You may have a third degree black belt wrapped around your waist but if the person in front of you is a white belt; as are you.  One of those nights.

Animal Speak has been a huge part of the universe that which I’m blessed to be part of.  Ted Andrews and countless others have written books that are extremely easy to study and by way of digital devices you’re allowed to keep their experiences nearby.  Animal Speak isn’t for everybody because it goes against a lot of what’s already been planted inside your beliefs.  And yet have you taken note of how close nature has gotten since the arrival of this invisible beast pandemic?  I write in a forest.  It’s who I am.  Not because I am but it’s because they said I am.  How far did that fly over your head?  On the morning of December 6, 2020 I wrote about the energy moving through my mind body and soul while being present with the atmosphere.  I was in the forest, for it’s always been the guide.  A place to listen, to watch, to speak with and belong to.  My first view of the morning was the flight of a very beautiful Red Tail Hawk.  So peace filled during a 29 degree sunrise.  Maybe fifteen feet from my nearest touch I fall witness to a couple of deer thoroughly enjoying their breakfast.  I talk with these animals.  Animal Speak.  The deer swish their large white tails while staring deeply into my eyes.  They know, they all know that something is moving through each and every one of us.  It’s changed our paths of choice and for many we’ve lost our sense of empowerment.  It’s through these animals and not man’s desire and need to spread bad stories that we’re able to fall witness to a deeper meaning and more message.  It’s our choice not to listen!  Until you look beyond yourself and realize the importance of the deer.  They represent instinct.  The Red Tail Hawk reminds us to stay alert and focused.  Neither of these animals say, “React or find reason to attack.” Stop for a moment.  Let me share that line again.  Neither of these animals say, “React or find reason to attack.” Please take note of the day this was written.  December 6, 2020.  One month before one of the darkest days in American history.  Becoming aware of what you’re posting on social media.  Making sure you aren’t a fire starter with a subject that doesn’t agree with your stomach.  None of us knew of the horrifying truth that would be unveiled on January 6, 2021.  Instinct while staying alert and focused gets you through invisible storms.  Not stepping out there without a net to catapult a thought across a digital connection designed to give you free speech.  Until they deem it wrong.  Neither of the animals said, “React or find reason to attack.”  Therefore the choice through avenues of Animal Speak is to find equal love and equal peace.  There’s a lot to be learned when animals share their energy.  Are you listening?  I write in a forest.  It’s who I am.  Not because I am but it’s because they said I am.

Stream Thinking: Communicating

 <a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/43581305" data-resource="episode_id=43581305" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "Stream Thinking Communicating" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

February 22, 2021

Stream thinking.  I practice it every day.  Once a week though I set it free so that we can learn how to trust in its presence.  Ten minutes.  Write whatever you feel.  No editing.  No judgement. Put it out there!  All that’s in your head.  The power of stream thinking.  Living in the presence of Now.  The subject this week is communicating.  Ha!  Oh my God who does that? Ha!  Communicating by way of connecting doesn’t require emails that resemble books.  You know.  Those long collection of words and thoughts that people send thinking you’re going to read it to the end.  Not me! I check out after a sentence or two.  They complain that I didn’t respond.  Yep.  If you can’t say it in 15 words.  Not gonna pay attention. Communicating!  So many sentences are sent that bare the image of the writer “It’s all about me!  I’m better than!”  Goodness.  I’m checking out then.  I’ve never understood why people ask me questions when the next email is going to be their response on how they can do better.  Oh!  Communicating!  Not in dictator style but rather one on one.  Like we’re together in conversation.  We need to heal our communication skills.  The last four years have been brutal.  We were given permission to say whatever we want like it or not.  OK.  Not!  Conversation is designed to go a long way.  What you say today has the empowerment to last the next seven generations.  So stop your accusations.  Limit your energy and become part of the environment of Now.  The purpose behind unity.  That’s a big thought.  There can never be a strong community if the indifferences resemble shards of glass.  Communicating is an act of distance.  The impact reaches beyond your moment of release.  Willie Nelson says it best “I can’t go back and change anything because it will effect where I presently stand.  I like where I am today.” Moving forward with conversation during a pandemic where most of us have no clue what office living is about.  Zoom meetings are a total distraction.  Phone conversations no different.  There’s no better feeling then standing with someone eye to eye and what you’re communicating is experienced. Please don’t send an email or text.  That’s modern day laziness.
