Rudy Parris
He started from the ground up. Which included being the sound man for some of Country Music's biggest names. From each performance he learned a little more about the art of showmanship. It opened the door for him to be on NBC's The Voice. Now he's signed to Capitol Records. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Rudy Parris.
Rudy Parris was invited to the Buck Owens' Birthday Bash, held at Bucks Crystal Palace in Bakersfield California -- it surely was the place to be with a lengthy guest list, including Tracy Bird, Dwight Yokum, Brad Paisley, Gary Allen and many others. Garth Brooks even called in his best wishes for a great night. By the end of the evening everyone wanted to know who Rudy Parris was and where had he been hiding. Parris and his brother Abel had been "hiding" in front of large crowds as an opening act!
Having paid his dues warming up audiences for many known artists, including Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Jr., B.B. King, Bo Didley, among many others, Rudy has also had the honor of playing guitar on tour for Hank Williams III. This explained it…this "unheard of" talent already had the ability to maintain and wow an audience. Setting Rudy's voice aside, his talents as a virtuoso guitarist are readily apparent as he coaxes the crowd onto their feet, making his guitar sing, dance, whisper, and scream. A true showman, Parris also plays harmonica, bass and drums (which he demonstrated while performing with Bay Area Blues legend, Ron Thompson). But, Rudy is most importantly an amazing songwriter.
Rudy was born and raised in the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley, a few miles from the historical country music mecca, Bakersfield, CA. There he had the pleasure of a longstanding residency working for Buck Owens at The Crystal Palace. Following Rudy's performances on NBC's The Voice, his fan base contunues growing daily and his schedule grows busier. Many major artists in the country and blues communities have given Rudy the thumbs up. He has been signed to Warrior Records and will be releasing his debut album, so join the mailing list now to become part of the Tribe and watch his journey!
