Timothy Keller The Songs Of Jesus
He's one of this generations best teachers. Spiritual leaders around the world reach for the messages he's so willing to share. And humbly he shares, "They aren't my words. But I've been instructed to share." From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm very pleased to welcome back Dr Timothy Keller Unplugged and Totally Uncut.
With the release of THE SONGS OF JESUS: A Year of Daily Devotions in the Psalms (Viking; On-Sale Date: November 10, 2015), Timothy Keller with his wife, Kathy, have written a book that offers everyday inspiration for an entire year based on the Book of Psalms.
Psalms have always held a special place in Christian faith, as they can be the most interactive way to approach prayer; as Tim and Kathy say in the introduction, “They are written to be prayed, recited, and sung—to be done, not merely to be read.
THE SONGS OF JESUS is not simply a devotional of Psalms, it is a deep dive into one Book of the Bible, providing not only a daily reading but also an investigation into the meaning of the Psalm and a prayer to help put the Psalm to use in everyday meditation. THE SONGS OF JESUS can be used purely to enhance the readers daily prayer, or as an outlet to dig deeper into the meaning of the Psalms and enhance one’s knowledge of God. THE SONGS OF JESUS is sure to be a perennial classic for years to come.
