Milo Gore

Listen to "Milo Gore Watch The Tide" on Spreaker. Watch the Tide’ is the debut EP from multi-instrumentalist, Milo Gore. Transcending Indie artistry with his admirable ability to combine organic yet nostalgic melodies, Gore describes his music as ‘rough around the edges but forever powerful and genuine’. The 6 track EP, produced by Max Waymark, displays acoustic qualities with refreshingly raw lyricism. Bursting with personality, each track experiments with the traditions of sound engineering, drawing influence from Folktronica artists Bon Iver and Ben Howard. The band, formed by a group of friends from University, provide undeniable personality in their musicianship. Gore describes the music as an ‘escape’ and believes that as a result, he explores his experiences within his craft. As an exploration of Mental Health, ‘Watch the Tide’ demonstrates a variety of themes, however, the band beautifully embrace their mantra ‘Forever Whatever’ and produce a sound that is playful, inventive and full of character. Gore comments ‘we jumped to recording in my shoebox of a rented room... a squeeze but we managed. A real test but we all really enjoyed it - good vibes and hard work pays off!’ At it’s heart, the defining element of Milo Gore is his integrity. After stepping away from initial record label interest in a previous band, Gore claims that ‘walking away from my potential chance, to make music I relate to more...that’s my biggest achievement so far’. Gore describes his new musical process as a free and organic style in which he aims to connect with his audience. With his rapidly growing fan-base and festival appearances this summer, it is undeniable that Milo Gore has a big future ahead of him...
