Fifty years after first signing with Motown, Jackie Jackson of the legendary Jackson Five has started his own music label to introduce the world to new artists that deserve the spotlight. The very first act signed to Jackie’s Critically Amused label is the emerging EDM hip hop duo Gold Lemonade composed of a female DJ/producer and hip hop male vocalist.

Their debut single “Cake Up” exclusively premiered on
Billboard.com and the cinematic video for their latest single “How You Feel,” received praise from both fans and music industry members. Gold Lemonade was also recently featured in Spotify’s “Discover Weekly” and Apple’s “Best of the Week” playlists. Now – after amassing a huge social media following in just a short time – Gold Lemonade introduces their brand new 16-track mixtape “School of Hard Drops,” which features collaborations with several international artists and a cover of Gorilla Zoe’s “Lost.”

A true music icon, Jackie Jackson was co-lead singer for both The Jackson 5 and the Jacksons. With an impressive 250 million records sold worldwide, The Jackson 5 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Jackie's love for music lives on through his artist mentorships under his label Critically Amused.

On June 21, speak with Jackie Jackson as well as Gold Lemonade’s Lya and Jvgg. Jackie can discuss the vision for his Critically Amused label and why Gold Lemonade was selected as its first artists, while Lya and Jvgg can discuss Gold Lemonade’s unique eclectic sound, the artists that inspired them and their musical collaboration with Jackie.
