How do we know this isn’t a set up that’s being filmed? With all the reality shows on television and
the billion Tik Tok shots spreading across the planet, when do we know this
moment is about to become someone else’s laughter? I’m not convinced that people act awkward
because of conditions but rather ambitions to gain access to another person’s
shock and reaction. I face weird
situations all the time. I don’t
showcase any type of emotion. My goal is
to always reach for a solution first. A
father that runs up to me in customer service urgently needing attention
because his daughter has urinated on the floor.
I walk to the scene. Take note of
the situation on the floor. The only
thing abnormal is the puddle on the floor.
The child didn’t look wet nor was there a diaper bag in the basket or in
their arms. Hmmm. The mission was to clean it up. Solutions not reactions. I learned how to perfect this in martial
arts. To clear the mind body and soul of
anything that would stand in the way of making the best decision. The man who shouts at the top of his lungs
about how he’s been offended and he’s a lawyer and needs names right now. Solutions not reactions. The guests that run into the store two
minutes before closing. The outfits they
wear are outrageously made for a Tik Tok video.
Dogs labeled working that make messes on the floor. I don’t question nor do I get angry. The solution provides the best path to bring
the situation to a peace filled conclusion.
I do wonder though. Where are the
cameras?
