Grant Blackwood Tom Clancy's Under Fire
On the edge with a serious twist of the unexpected. This new Jack Ryan book rewrites what you think you already know. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with author Grant Blackwood. The writer that brought us Tom Clancy's Under Fire
Each of Tom Clancy’s eighteen previous novels became a #1 New York Times bestseller, and total sales of his books worldwide are estimated at more than one hundred million copies. In total, Clancy wrote more than one hundred fiction and non-fiction books. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, and then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list in 1984 after President Reagan pronounced it “the perfect yarn.” From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. Four of his novels became the basis for hit movies (The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, and The Sum of All Fears). Another hit film, 2013’s Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, was based on an original story about the early CIA days of Clancy’s hero. Clancy’s work spawned a videogame empire, as well, with sales of more than seventy-five million games to date. He passed away in October 2013
Grant Blackwood, who co-authored the critically acclaimed #1 New York Times bestseller Dead or Alive with Tom Clancy, superbly carries on the immensely popular Clancy franchise with TOM CLANCY UNDER FIRE. The New York Times–bestselling author in his own right of the Briggs Tanner series, Blackwood is also the coauthor of The Kill Switch, with James Rollins, and of the Fargo Adventure Series with Clive Cussler. A U.S. Navy veteran, Blackwood spent three years aboard a guided missile frigate as an Operations Specialist and a Pilot Rescue Swimmer.
