Dara Torres broke onto the swimming scene as a 17-year-old, making the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles and winning a gold medal as part of the freestyle relay team. She has since competed and won medals in five Olympic Games, one of only a handful of Olympians ever to do so. As someone who has experienced the Games from all angles, Dara knows the first few steps are the toughest, and has encouraged these athletes to realize their potential through unwavering support and a push to find their inner strength and motivation.
