Josette is a Miley Cyrus superfan and had all of her albums and posters as a kid. With very little performance opportunities in her New Jersey town, Josette created a YouTube channel and gained fans by uploading covers and originals. At school, Josette sings in a choir, an 18-person a capella group, participates in musical theater and plays sax in the band. In what's left of her free time, Josette saves for college by teaching guitar lessons to children 5-12 years old at her Dominican Republican parents' home.
