"The spy is always in the worst possible place." This was the first lesson Eric O'Neill would be taught by his supervisor, veteran agent Robert Hanssen, when he began working at the FBI's newly created Information Assurance Section; he called it "Hanssen's law." It was early 2001, the world on the cusp of the digital revolution, and this two-man division was tasked with modernizing the FBI's woefully out-of-date and inadequate cybersecurity system-or so it seemed. In reality, O'Neill knew just how true "Hanssen's law" really was: his new boss was a spy, and he was most definitely in the worst possible place, with unhindered access to some of the FBI's most classified and highly sensitive intelligence. The agency suspected that Hanssen had spent the past twenty years acting as a Russian mole, sharing everything from details about U.S. weapons systems to the names and identities of American operatives. At twenty-six years old, O'Neill was recruited for the case of a lifetime, tasked with spying on a master spy and bringing to justice one of the most damaging double agents in American history.
In GRAY DAY: My Undercover Mission to Expose America's First Cyber Spy (Crown; March 26, 2019), O'Neill takes readers into the high-stakes, pressure-packed Room 9930, where he spends each day alone with Hanssen. O'Neill is subjected to Hanssen's over-sized ego and bursts of rage, but also witnesses the brilliant maneuverings and manipulations he has used for years to stay one step ahead of the FBI. Finding O'Neill to be an apt pupil, Hanssen begins to teach him the game of spy craft, exposing the flaws and failures of the agency's systems, which he's been able to exploit for years. What Hanssen could not have anticipated, however, was just how much attention his new student was paying.
In GRAY DAY, O'Neill recounts those fateful months spent with Hanssen in an edge-of-your seat, tension-packed narrative that rivals the greatest spy novels and films. A dramatic tale of spy vs. spy, GRAY DAY is also a cautionary tale that pulls back the curtain on the world of cyber espionage. As recent events have made painfully clear-from the Equifax breach, to the global WannaCry pandemic, to the hacking of the 2016 U.S. presidential election-cyber espionage is one of the greatest threats we face when it comes to national, corporate, and personal security. In GRAY DAY, O'Neill shows us what Hanssen's law-"The spy is always in the worst possible place"-can teach us about how to keep our information safe in an increasingly digital world.

Gyth is no stranger to hard work after growing up on his family's racehorse farm. A typical morning would start at 5 o'clock to feed, wash and train all 27 horses. Gyth found his musical calling at 15 when he joined the family campfire jam session. At 17, his father booked him a three-hour show at a biker bar where he has been playing gigs ever since. Gyth took his show on the road for a few years and came back a hometown hero after sharing the stage with artists such as Jake Owen and Gary Allen. Gyth hopes "The Voice" will help launch his music career to the next level.

In BLOCKCHAIN: The Next Everything, Williams demystifies blockchain and its numerous applications as it takes the tech world by storm. I would love to send you a review copy and arrange for an interview with Stephen Williams. If there is interest, simply reply with a preferred mailing address and/or time & date for the interview.
Using plain English, clever stories and uncomplicated explanations, Williams provides readers with a firm understanding of what blockchain is:
An immutable online, digital ledger for keeping track of any kind of data.
A software that exists as strings of code across multiple computers, phones, and other devices in a distributed manner that makes it both immutable and accessible to all its users.
NOT Bitcoin. Both technologies are commonly associated with one another in the media because blockchain is the software that makes the cryptocurrency possible. However, blockchain also powers such things as Walmart's supply chain; voting platforms; refugee identification; organic food verification; and much, much more.
The next everything. Blockchain will be as revolutionary for our society as the internet was, influencing all aspects of society from politics to business to consumer culture and philanthropy. Blockchain will upend the need for central authorities like banks, Uber, Airbnb, and the government to conduct transactions, potentially giving people from all social strata the power to do business and make cross-continental purchases without a middleman.
BLOCKCHAIN: The Next Everything is an essential book for readers that are curious about the future of technology and its implications for a better world.

Smithsonian Channel’s new documentary film, Europe in Chaos, explores the origins of Brexit and the Migration Crisis, two factors that divided the European nations and plunged them into their biggest political catastrophe since World War II.
The first hour, BREXIT, tells the story of how British Prime Minister David Cameron – who favored remaining in the EU – caved to his party and called a referendum that resulted in Britain withdrawing from the European Union, a decision that shocked the world.
The second hour, MIGRATION CRISIS, shows how European leaders desperately struggled to address one of the century’s greatest humanitarian crises: the influx of hundreds of thousands of refugees arriving in Europe from Syria and North Africa. The crisis exposes a sharp division between East and West, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and others offering sanctuary while Eastern European countries argue fiercely to send the migrants back.
Speak with Norma Percy, the series producer and Tim Stirzaker, its director, who persuaded many of Europe’s top leaders to reveal extraordinary inside stories for the documentary. These leaders give previously unpublished insights into their negotiations as they struggled to deal with crises that threatened to tear the European Union apart.
Quotes from the documentary:
Francois Hollande, former President of France:
“I said to Angela Merkel, ‘The migrants and refugees keep on coming. It’s an exceptional situation. We need to control the borders.’”
Donald Tusk, President of the European Council:
“I told David Cameron bluntly, ‘Come on, get real. I know that all Prime Ministers are promising to help you, but believe me the truth is that no-one has an appetite for revolution in Europe only because of your stupid referendum. If you try to force us, to hurry us, you will lose everything.’ And for the first time, I saw something close to fear in his eyes. He finally realized what a challenge he was facing.”
Nicolas Sarkozy, former President of France:
“This is the problem with the English: they think that alone, they have more influence than by working with Europe. They’re wrong.”

Growing up in Lincolnton, NC was pretty simple compared to his fast paced life now in Nashville. Remembering what it was like to sit outside by the tractor with a guitar in his hand. Today Kelby Costner has just released Somewhere which opens the door for him to reach out and shake a lot of hands while kissing the babies. He understands the next level of play is to get his music into the hearts of fans. That means hitting the road. Catch Kelby in concert at Queens Landing in April.

In 1979, Atlanta is turning towards an era of peaceful prosperity following the wounds of segregation and the Civil Rights Movement conflict -- but the city is jolted when two 14-year-old boys go missing and their remains are found a few days later, with one boy shot and the other strangled. The incident begins a horrifying 23 months with a total of 29 African-American children being stolen from their families and killed. Multiple suspicions lead nowhere and decades later, no person has been tried for these murders.
In 1981 police narrow their sights on 23-year-old Wayne Williams, a black man suspected of killing two adults in the Atlanta area. After the longest trial in Georgia’s history, Williams was convicted of the adult murders and sentenced to two consecutive life terms but he was never tried for the murders of the children. The public jumped to place him as the culprit, but was he a scapegoat? Investigation Discovery’s new three-hour special The Atlanta Child Murders explores whether Wayne Williams was truly responsible for these crimes or if something far more sinister was at play in the heart of the South.
Often called “the Voice of Atlanta,” radio host Frank Ski is featured prominently in The Atlanta Child Murders. During his imprisonment, Wayne Williams reached out to Frank to be interviewed – and the interview that followed sparked controversy throughout Atlanta among those who thought Wayne was responsible for the crimes and others who questioned his guilt. Frank can discuss his experience interviewing Wayne Williams and his personal theories on the Atlanta Child Murders.

The son of an insurance man from nearby Beverly, Massachusetts, Dave Marciano started fishing at age 11 and never considered another trade. “I just took to the water,” he says. “I got my first jobs on charter boats in Gloucester as a teenager. After high school, I got into it full time.” Marciano worked for a decade as a crewman in Key West and Gloucester before an employer spotted his obvious talents and “threw him the keys” to captain a boat. “I ran that boat, the Captain Vince II, for three seasons, and we did real well,” he explains. “I saved enough money from my captain’s share that I could buy my own boat.”
In Gloucester, where the waterfront has a memorial to the thousands of local fishermen who have died at sea over the past three centuries, Marciano also holds the distinction of having survived a 2003 shipwreck. “We were pushing the limit, and the weather was a little crappy,” Marciano recalls. They were 18 miles offshore and struggling to get back with thousands of pounds of fish when a plank in the hull gave way. “We sank in 33 minutes,” Marciano recalls as matter-of-factly as a landlubber might recall a fender bender in a parking lot.
“It wasn’t as dangerous of a situation as it sounds, though. We’d had all that Coast Guard training, and we had the pumps and other equipment, and there was another fishing boat a mile away. We wanted to save the boat, but we knew that as long as we didn’t do anything stupid, we weren’t going to die.” His peers, who heard him on the radio during the ordeal, told him they were surprised by his utter aplomb in the midst of such a mishap. “I heard comments like, ‘I woulda been freaking out, but you were as calm as an [expletive] air traffic controller,’” he laughs. “But that’s why you do the training.

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17432140" data-resource="episode_id=17432140" data-width="100%" data-height="350px" data-theme="dark" data-playlist="show" data-playlist-continuous="true" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="true" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="false" >Listen to "The Ron Keel Band Releases Fight Like A Band" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>
EMP Label Group has released the new Ron Keel Band album FIGHT LIKE A BAND, which hit stores 3/1 via their EMP Outlaw imprint, launched in 2017 to reissue Keel’s solo debut Metal Cowboy. Featuring a full album’s worth of brand-new tracks by Keel and his Sioux Falls based conspirators, as well as Southern tinged re-imaginings of Keel classics.
In addition to a lyric video for the lead track “Road Ready,” released in January, the band is preparing the release of the several singles to Rock radio EMP including “Girls Like Me,” which according to Keel is the “most fun song on the record.” The new single/video will hit airwaves in March.
“Road Ready” - https://youtu.be/BNGVXKHlyNs
Says EMP head of A&R/Operations Thom Hazaert, “Ron Keel is one of the greatest Rock vocalists of our time, and a true Heavy Metal visionary. He defines the ‘Gentleman Outlaw’ in the truest sense, and we’re so proud to have him in the EMP family.”
On Saturday, February 23rd, Ron Keel Band celebrated the release at Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, Iowa with a free concert and VIP pre-show party. The band is filling the calendar with shows from coast to coast, including KEELFest in Columbus, Ohio May 10th, featuring not only Ron Keel Band, but, the classic KEEL lineup (Marc Ferrari, Bryan Jay, Dwain Miller) and a tribute to Steeler that includes bassist Rik Fox and guitar hero Mitch Perry.
Ron Keel’s 35-year odyssey as an entertainer has taken him from the concrete jungle of arena rock to the dirt roads of country and Southern Rock, and back again. Keel’s legendary major label debut The Right To Rock was produced by KISS’ Gene Simmons, and the band went on to notch three albums on Billboard’s Hot 100.
After selling millions of albums and touring the world as both a metal screamer (Keel, Steeler, and a brief encounter with Black Sabbath) and an outlaw country artist, he has combined those elements into a powerful brand as the Metal Cowboy.
In addition to Keel himself, Ron Keel Band features lead guitarist Dave “DC” Cothern, bassist El Diablo (aka Geno Arce, also a longtime member of Keel and other Ron Keel projects), Jeff “The Rev” Koller on drums and keyboardist Dakota Scott Schmitt (the latter two are both members of the South Dakota Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame). They have been together for four years – starting out as the House Band for Sioux Falls entertainment complex Badlands Pawn. During that era, they toured heavily on their own and with Midwest legends Hairball, and backed up other singers like Paul Stanley, Jack Blades, Kip Winger, Mark Slaughter, Don Dokken, and Stephen Pearcy – and for a 2016 Sioux Falls performance they did a set of covers mixed with Megadeth hits with EMP founder David Ellefson.
Says Ellefson, “I’ve known Ron Keel for many years, obviously there’s deep connections all the way back to the earliest days of Steeler and Megadeth and consider him a great friend. We reconnected a few years back through BADLANDS, even have had the chance to perform together a few times, and what he was doing was a really natural fit for EMP. Before you knew it, we had created EMP Outlaw, and a wonderful new alliance was formed. Ron is truly one of the greats, and it’s such an honor to partner with him to release not only RKB, but his solo Ron Keel material as well.”
Those experiences tightened the band into a well-oiled musical machine and cemented their bond as friends. So, when Badlands Pawn went out of business, they chose to stick together and “fight like a band,” hence the inspiration behind the title track of the new album.
“We’ve been to hell and back together,” Keel confesses. “Everyone in the band sacrificed a lot, leaving their homes, gigs, families and friends to be a part of that. When it folded, this group was too strong to stop, so we renamed it Ron Keel Band and kept doing what we do – kicking ass.” Ron also credits the band and their music with helping him stay strong as his wife Renée battled breast cancer last year. “This album is a monument to our fans and the tough guys in this band…and it’s the most personal musical statement I’ve ever made.”

Every time you break out in a conversation with Aaron Paul you know his wide open thoughts and laughs are going to fire up the moment. Aaron's getting prepared to release a new album. Sounds pretty easy right? Not when you've become one of the biggest attractions in fashion. From longer than life photo shoots to maintaining an image on social media to keep that door pumping up the volume. Now toss in what his heart is screaming for. A book! All authors know you can't just turn this stuff off. The need to write is something you have to feed or you'll be awake all hours of the night.

In each of the BUTTERMILK GRAFFITI’s 16 character-driven chapters, Lee explores a place where immigrants are making a lasting impact on the culinary and cultural landscape. He digs into the meaning of Lebanese kibbeh in Clarksdale, MS; Uyghur noodle soup in Brighton Beach, NY; pepperoni rolls in West Virginia; and pastrami in Indianapolis. He contemplates clam pizza in Connecticut, now considered a classic local dish, but originally an Italian immigrant’s attempt to incorporate an unfamiliar ingredient into a recipe from the Old Country. And not content merely to observe, he fasts for Ramadan in Dearborn, Michigan, and smokes Cuban cigars in Miami. Original recipes serve as a coda at the end of each chapter, summing up what Lee has learned and how he plans to integrate it into his own life. Throughout, he finds that “Food can be a bridge, and the best, most thrilling dishes can result from joining two different worlds.”

Mitchell is a woodworker in Nashville. He currently builds custom furniture and started renovating a shuttle bus into a tiny house/songwriters lounge. He decided to go to military college at Citadel in Charleston, with plans to attend dental school. His mom was supportive but always saw him as more of a rock star. Mitchell got some devastating news three weeks before graduation; his mother had passed away. This deeply affected Mitchell because he felt like his mom was disappointed that he wanted to be a dentist instead of following something he loved. So after graduation, he decided to forego dental school and pursue music. Mitchell put together a band and performed all around Charleston. The rest of the group wasn't taking it as seriously, so he moved to Nashville make it on his own.

Cullen returns to HISTORY’s knights templar drama series Knightfall as the handsome, headstrong and courageous Templar Knight, Landry. Having experienced a fall from grace last season and stripped of his Master of the Temple title, Landry finds himself on a path to redemption and must overcome his guilt by relearning the principles that once made him one of the most honorable, swift-thinking and skilled Knights of the Order. He will be joined this season by Mark Hamill (Star Wars, BAFTA-winning voice of The Joker) who is trading in his lightsaber for Medieval sword, as the series’ sophomore season embraces a more brutal view of this harsh time in history, and heads towards the ultimate demise of the Templar Order - which occurred on Friday the 13th, 1307.
Knightfall goes inside the medieval politics and warfare of the Knights Templar, the most powerful, wealthy and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages. The series goes deep into the clandestine world of this legendary brotherhood of warrior monks to learn who these knights were, how they lived, and what they died believing. With the historical and ruthless downfall of the Templar Order on the horizon, season two focuses on themes such as power, redemption, revenge, betrayal, family, and ultimately an epic war between church and state. Hamill joins the cast as new character Talus, a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran and initiate master who is tasked with preparing the next generation of men to proudly wear the iconic red cross on their chests and become “God’s Executioners.”

Emmy® and Peabody Award® winning comedian/writer, TV personality, actor, podcaster, and Late Show with Stephen Colbert warm-up guy Paul Mecurio is breaking the mold on stand-up comedy. The former Daily Show correspondent & writer is making his Off-Broadway debut with Permission to Speak, which is currently playing an open-ended engagement at the Actor's Temple Theatre on West 47th Street following a sold-out run last year.
Permission to Speak is a one-man comedy show with a twist - it stars Paul AND the audience. In a show that's never been done before, Paul improvises with audience members talking with them about their lives, personal experiences and what they honestly think without feeling boxed in by the confines of contrived political correctness. A breath of fresh air, Permission to Speak is first and foremost, funny and entertaining, but also a truly freeing experience where people connect through compelling stories. (Think of it as a funny late night talk show where Paul creates a fun, safe space and you are the celebrity guest!)
Paul made a name for himself reporting on news at The Daily Show as his recurring segment, 'Second Opinion', was a hit with viewers. Over the years, he's appeared on many late-night shows, including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show, The Late, Late Show, The Daily Show and Fridays (ABC) to name a few. He also appears regularly as a pop culture and general news commentator and political satirist on a wide variety of major national television shows including: CBS Sunday Morning; CNN, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, and ESPN.

To get to know who Eyes of the Living are today, you must go back in time to look at their successful musical endeavors as individuals. Members of Eyes of the Living have composed music for national television shows, such as The Messengers, True Hollywood Story, That Metal Show, and Ozzy and Jack's World Detour. On top of these accomplishments, they even had their music played on the greatest syndicated radio show in history–The Howard Stern Show.
These four seasoned music veterans are: Tim Swisher (vocals & guitar), Chris Moore (bass & backing vocals), Mike Straiton (lead guitar, cliff fitts, & drums). They have each accomplished many great heights before joining forces in 2016 and becoming Eyes of the Living. Together, this Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, based band enjoys creating and performing their own brand of thrash metal with a twisted commercial edge.
Most recently, on April 27, 2018, Eyes of the Living were crowned the East Coast Winners of the 2018 WACKEN Metal Battle USA. On May 26, 2018, they would place second overall in the National Finals held at the iconic Viper Room in West Hollywood, California. This prompted the band to engage in widespread touring across the United States in support of numerous national acts.
Now, joining the ranks of Pavement Entertainment's Artist Partnership division, Eyes of the Living will be setting their sound toward the ears of eager metal listeners worldwide with their unique and uncompromising brand of modern day thrash metal.

Anyone who has taken the musical ride with Gary Hoey during the past 30 years better buckle up and get ready for the next exciting journey on NEON HIGHWAY BLUES.
NEON HIGHWAY BLUES, steering its 11 tracks with the confidence and assuredness of a veteran and the freshness of someone who's still in the process of discovery and refinement -- with the help of famous friends such as Eric Gales, Lance Lopez, Josh Smith and Hoey's 17-year-old son Ian Hoey.
"I really wanted to make sure this album had a lot of blues on it," says Hoey, who self-produced NEON HIGHWAY BLUES and recorded it at his home studio in New Hampshire. “I kept sticking to the blues and listening to the classic players, all the Kings, Albert King, Freddie King, BB King, and finish with some Burger King. Hoey laughs” tried to get that to be a focus of this record -- and still put some songs for that my long-time, die-hard fans expect; instrumentals and some rockin' Zeppelin type stuff. There's definitely a variety here."
Hoey's not kidding. NEON HIGHWAY BLUES kicks off with "Under the Rug," a funky, Jeff Beck style workout with Eric Gales. Up next is the dynamic 6:29 slow blues "Mercy of Love," with Josh Smith, with biting guitar solos, Hoey gets his Texas swing on for "Still Believe in Love" and settles into some roadhouse shuffles on "Your Kind of Love," and "Damned If I Do," is a big, stomping blues rocker with Lance Lopez trading licks. And those majestic instrumentals he mentioned? Check out "Almost Heaven," "Waiting on the Sun" and the cinematic title track, all showcases of virtuosity that complement the grittier fare around them.
A very personal highlight for Hoey is "Don't Come Crying," an aching blues track that features one Ian Hoey, then only 16, planting his flag in the "family business." "I'm so blown away my son is actually on the record," Hoey says. "He loves the blues. I said, 'If it turns out good enough, I'll have you on the record, and he did a great job. After it was mixed and I listened to it. I totally forgot where he was playing and where I was playing. It brought tears to my eyes."
NEON HIGHWAY BLUES "wasn't a quick record to make," nor was it easy, according to Hoey, and displays the care that came with the time spent on it. "I always say that's why they call it the blues, because it ain't easy," he notes. The album took about a year and a half, he estimates, much of it done during gaps in his heavy touring schedule. "I just kept going in and trying to come up with the right licks or the right lyrics, and some days it just wouldn't come," Hoey recalls. "It was really about staying in there and trying things, abandoning some ideas, going on to new ideas. There was a lot of that on this record. I'm kind of a stickler for making sure I'm happy with it -- even though I had people breathing down my neck to get it done."
NEON HIGHWAY BLUES will, of course, take Hoey back on the highways and byways for plenty of touring and playing, well, the blues -- and more. He can't yet predict where the next road will take him, but Hoey is confident it will be an adventure. "My son and I were talking about new music, some new technique I just found on guitar, and he said dad, 'You've been playing 44 years and still get excited.' I was like, 'Yeah, man, that's the amazing thing about music -- you never really get there. If you think you're there, that's when you’re in trouble because it’s all about the journey."

"Gianni Russo walks the walk and talks the talk. What a life. Fascinating. A worthy read." -Robert De Niro
"Gianni Russo is a true character who has led a most colorful life."-Gay Talese
"Gianni Russo has seen a lot, done a lot, and tells it all. Amazing."-Nick Pileggi
Kirkus (12/22)--Reads like a narrative for a mob movie script...Russo is an engaging raconteur, no doubt about it."
Booklist (12/1)--"Fascinating...it's a hell of a story...and Russo comes across as a hell of an interesting guy."
Library Journal(11/15)--"Fans of mob movies and unlikely success stories will find Russo's account compelling"
In HOLLYWOOD GODFATHER: My Life in the Movies and the Mob, Gianni Russo reveals the behind the scenes story of the making of
The Godfather, why it was almost never made at all, and how he landed a role in it with virtually no acting experience. He leveraged his connection with the mafia to get out of the crime business and into Hollywood, and eventually to a career as a Las
Vegas casino and nightclub owner. In addition to behind the scenes stories of the making of the iconic movie, Gianni shares stories from his own incredible life, including:
. Acting as a messenger to New Orleans mob boss Carlos Marcello during the Kennedy assassination, and being sent out of the country afterwards
. Going on the run after shooting and killing a member of Pablo Escobar's drug cartel in his Vegas club.
. Laundering mob casino money through the Vatican, until Pope John Paul I put a stop to it
. Getting the Shah of Iran fortune out of the country before his regime fell
Celebrity names and encounters fill the book, including an out-of-control food fight with Liza Minelli in Dionne Warwick's Las Vegas mansion, and a very unusual encounter with Zsa Zsa Gabor. This is a riveting mafia memoir filled with Hollywood glamour and
more than one near death experience.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the publication of the novel The Godfather, by Mario Puzo, and the anniversary of the release of the movie is also coming up in March (it premiered on March 24th, 1972),
Gianni is the real thing--he grew up in Little Italy, and worked for infamous mobster Frank Costello as a young man. He parlayed his mob connections into a role in the movie with virtually no acting experience, and helped avert a complete shutdown of the
film production during shooting in Little Italy. He even had to threaten Marlon Brando when he tried to get him fired from the film (the New York Post Page Six item is below)
Marlon Brando didn't want to work with acting rookie Gianni Russo on "The Godfather" and tried to get him fired - until Russo threatened to kill him.
Russo, who played Carlo Rizzi in the Francis Ford Coppola classic, tells in his memoir, "Hollywood Godfather," how Brando cornered him during a break and started asking about his résumé.
"Brando finally realized that I had zero experience in the acting game. I could tell he was upset. He turned to Francis Ford Coppola," Russo writes.
Russo quotes Brando as saying, "Francis, this guy married my [character's] daughter, sells out the family and is instrumental in getting my boy Sonny [James Caan] killed. This part needs to be given to an experienced actor. You should reconsider who has
this part."
"I put my arm around Brando," Russo writes, "and ushered him into a corner. I got right in his face, but kept my voice subdued. 'Who the f - - k are you to try to do this to me? I'll cut your heart out, you rat motherf - - ker. I'm part of this picture whether
you like it or not, you c - - ksucker.'
"Brando stared at me for what seemed like a minute . . . 'Man, you're f - - king good,' he said. 'I take back what I said. You've got great acting chops.' "

Bram Presser’s grandparents never spoke of their Holocaust experience, but a few years after they died an article was published claiming that his grandfather had been selected by the Nazis as the literary curator of Hitler’s Museum of the Extinct Race. Presser realized he didn’t really know anything about the person he loved the most, thus he set out on an obsessive eight-year quest to uncover the Holocaust stories his grandparents could never tell.
Part memoir, part investigation, part novel - The Book of Dirt is a wholly original approach to telling a story about survival, love, legacy, family secrets, the human condition, and “the great Perspex wall of Holocaust ownership.” “This is a book of memories, some my own, some acquired and some, I suppose, imagined,” Presser writes, but the pages that follow are unapologetically irreverent, sharp, visceral, and rich with lyrically beautiful prose that confronts history, memory, and silence.
The Book of Dirt is Presser’s attempt to make sense of the stories his family built around two remarkable survivors, set against a reimagining of those extraordinary experiences from the scraps, rumors, and whispers he found along the way, resulting in a novel that is never clearly fact, fiction or fable. And it is a heart-warming story about a grandson’s devotion to the power of storytelling and his family’s legacy.

The legendary American rock band TESLA will release their new studio album, SHOCK, worldwide on March 8 via UMe. The album is available now for preorder in CD, digital, black vinyl, and limited edition translucent blue vinyl formats; its electrifying lead single, “Shock,” is available now for streaming and for immediate download with album preorder. Preorder SHOCK and check out the album’s lead single, “Shock”: https://TESLA.lnk.to/SHOCK
One of the world’s most celebrated and enduring rock bands with a diehard, loyal fanbase, TESLA has enjoyed international chart, radio, and tour success for nearly 35 years, with global album sales topping 15 million.
That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid ‘80s eruption of leather, spandex and big hair, but this band has never been about those things. Their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like the Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith.
TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As worn in and comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans, as tough and dependable as your coolest leather jacket, TESLA endures because they are a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.
TESLA is always ready to rock, and they invite everyone to join them with SHOCK.

Years in the making and now published for the first time in paperback to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the legendary record label, the acclaimed book MOTOWN: The Sound of Young America is the definitive visual history of the Detroit-based independent record company that became a style unto itself, a prolific and hugely successful production line of suave, sassy, and sophisticated music through the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Featuring extensive specially commissioned photography of treasures gathered from the archives, this landmark publication also captures the graphic and design iconography that underpinned Motown's extraordinary creativity.
Packed with fresh insights gleaned from scores of interviews with key players, this exceptional and revealing volume delves into the workings of the Motown machine and details how a dedicated team of backroom believers, white and black, turned a small family business into a popular music powerhouse as America underwent momentous social and cultural changes. This was the home of such groundbreaking artists as Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, The Temptations, and many more.

Soman Chainani

Forget what you think you know about fairy tales and step into The School for Good and Evil—where things are not always what they seem. In Soman Chainani’s New York Times bestselling series, two best friends will find that the only way out of a fairy tale is to live through it.
Soman Chainani practically created his own fairy-tale major when studying at Harvard. Growing up, Soman felt outside of the "mainstream" -- one of the only kids of color at school; wrestling with being gay; a skinny, sensitive kid who didn't fit in with boys. He loved fairy tales, Harry Potter, and Disney most of all -- but didn't see any parts of him reflected. The School for Good and Evil is the corrective; it’s a series for all kids who feel the same way Soman did -- and now lets them be the heroes of a big, inclusive world. It's why the fandom for the series is so big and passionate: everything from SGE weddings to tattoos to fanart. SGE spotlights the forgotten kids.
Soman tutored kids for 10 years in New York City and realized that for every 'good', kid, there was one struggling or left behind. The 'bad' kids. Soman realized these are the kids left out of fantasy storytelling -- the kids who never get to be heroes. So the SGE characters -- "Good" and "Evil" -- were inspired by the hugely diverse students Soman taught.
The book series shows us how to talk with kids about evil. Kids grow up with the same narrative again and again: Good always wins. It's what every superhero movie teaches -- Evil can't stand a chance against truth and justice. And yet, in the real world, Evil wins all the time. The School for Good and Evil is a series that isn't afraid to talk to kids about Evil and what it means -- and why "villains" often have their own stories that deserve to be told. For the first time, kids aren't spoonfed who to root for. And in the process, they learn that Good and Evil not only have blurred lines -- but they can also look exactly the same.

Dylan comes from a very creative family. His dad plays guitar and is a high school drama teacher, so both Dylan and his sister loved doing musical theater productions growing up. After high school, Dylan started a pop rock band called Don't Sigh Daisy, and had the opportunity to open for Switchfoot, Young the Giant and Fun. Despite having some success, the band ultimately broke up as the members started getting married and having kids. Then in 2013, shortly after the band broke up, Dylan's sister got into a bad car accident. She was hit on the interstate and flew across the median into oncoming traffic, causing a traumatic brain injury. After almost losing his sister, Dylan decided to pursue a career in the medical field. With music no longer a priority, he got his CNA license in 2014, and currently works at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville as a certified nursing assistant. When not at work, he is playing at restaurants and small venues on the weekends, but The Voice is the first opportunity he's had in a long time to fully focus on his music.
