Jana’s new PSA and The Hot Chocolate Talk (designed to get families talking about child sexual abuse) are designed to help families know what to say and do to protect kids from abuse. CFC has created great ways to support this important discussion with tips, a conversation guide, and tons of helpful resources and videos.

The explosive documentaries “Leaving Neverland” and “Surviving R. Kelly” have reignited a national conversation about child sexual abuse, and many parents are wondering how – and even if – they can keep their children safe. When it comes to child abuse, “stranger danger” is a myth. In 90% of cases, sexually abused children and their parents know the abuser.

The Hot Chocolate Talk is a game changer. The campaign features a first-of-its-kind, research-based conversation guide designed to help families know exactly what to say and do to protect kids from abuse. Because research shows that talking to kids about sexual abuse, touching, and private body parts can help keep them safe. The website has resources, how to videos and conversation tips based on age.
