There's nothing like hitting the road to capture the stories of those who put a lot of energy into art. Pottery is a huge part of our ancestry. History collectors are still digging up pieces that date back thousands if not millions of years. Modern soldiers of art are no different. In search of that piece of work that stabilizes the legacy. On this trip to H.I's studio he wastes no time getting me outside to the pottery graveyard. It's where all things gone wrong make their way back to the earth that brought it. We also talk about making the connections with business owners and the employees that keep the doors open. How to prepare for such meetings without bringing the entire show. I was shocked to learn how long it takes to create a pipe, bong, cup or cross. We get the clay part but until it's finished can take several weeks leading to nearly two months. This and so much more as we continue to explore. Sharing the journey of those who've chosen art as their life.
