Hey it’s Arroe.  Welcome to my new podcast series Play It Forward.  A look at the unexpected changes endured by entertainers, writers, camera people and all others affected but not infected by the global invasion of the Coronavirus.
The goal is to feature two different types of episodes.  The individual conversations as well as a collected array of the entire picture.  Modern day journalism with no rules.  Real people.  Real stories.  The struggle to Play It Forward.
Episode Five: The Actor, Newsman And Children’s Book Author
Oscar nominee Eric Roberts has been part of the Hollywood movie scene for decades.  This weekend was to mark his first film of the year.  Although AMC is one of very few major theater chains still in action Inside the Rain is about to make it red carpet debut on Pay Per View.  He wasted no time putting fans first.
ABC reporter Dan Abrams has made a household name for himself not only the network but front the entire time on Live PD and authoring several historical books that have covered the journeys of Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and now John Adams.  We laughed a little about what it’s like to release a book during a pandemic then he took us into a moment of saluting those on the front line.
When I sat with Kate Messner to talk about her latest National Geo For Kids book Solve This Forensics I had no idea how deeply dedicated she is to our children who are literally locked out of schools and libraries due to the Coronavirus.
