What is it like to not be a daily writer? To be in this huge moment caused by a global
pandemic and not feeling the need to jot your thoughts. Not a guilt trip! No judgement.
I’m just asking a simple question from this side of the fence. What is it like to not be a daily
writer? I compare the moment to the
opening days of when I stand with tomorrows Broadcasters. There they are! Day one. Their hearts full of ripe fresh
dreams. I find enjoyment in listening to
what they think being on the radio and television is all about. Then I become strong in my message. From this day forward you’ll no longer be an
innocent listener. You’re going to see and
learn things that listeners know nothing about and it will change you in ways
that you’ll struggle through because it didn’t match your dreams and
ambitions. On this podcast episode the
goal isn’t to push my writing beliefs on you but help you understand the
importance of learning how to locate mindfulness and gratefulness with yourself
and universe by a jotted thought. A
sentence on paper that becomes a paragraph then pages of many. It doesn’t happen overnight and the
experience itself will keep you awake at night.
Every walk of life. Every
business on the planet relies on creativity.
You cannot locate success without creative people. We’ve got the description of creativity
wrong. It’s not about paint on a canvas,
songwriting, authoring a book and cooking in a beautiful kitchen. Every soul on this planet has a love hate relationship
with the source of their creative self.
We tend to throw ourselves into situations we deem comforting and
blessed with security then complain about the decision long after the seed
broke through the soil. I daily write to
have a conversation with a self I was born with while being available for
whatever the universe is going to move through me. You’ve heard a lot of creative people use
this line, “Your art doesn’t belong to you.
Give it back to the universe.”
Being creative is a physical and mental connection to people you don’t
know and through whatever you do at work you’re going to affect and infect
someone’s life beyond you. Wanna
mentally get through this Covid-19 mess?
Layout your experience on a posted note.
Yeah that tiny in the beginning.
A billion shapes of inspiration are moving you at all times. Grab a posted note. Jot your thought. This is one that hit me harder than a brick
being tossed through a window. While
trying to explain my dark mood yesterday I took the time to ask myself to
describe what our present place in history feels like. “A lot of time has been wasted going nowhere
fast.”
