They all run together!
I’m not talking about the deer in my forest. The days of the week and the numbers they
carry with them. A herd of days. Or would it be a gaggle of moments? I never hear anyone getting excited about it
being Friday. Backyard BBQ’s are anytime
and anyplace just bring your own brand of beer.
The Covid lockdown erased the lines that separated the days of the
week. I have to look at my Google
calendar to remind myself that wow it really is a Friday! I feel like a Rock star that’s been on the
road for a billion days. They have no clue
where they are. Oh sure, slowing down
might lift the daily lines. Why stop
when getting ahead is the post Covid 19 adventure? I do and always have worked seven days a
week. I blame this lifestyle on my
parents. They pushed their lives into
overdrive until they couldn’t do it any more in their mid-80s. My Grandfather helped build the infamous
Bozeman tunnel that moves through the great Rocky Mountains. My father built our home in Billings,
Montana. I didn’t get a single one of
those genes. My fuel has always been
spirituality and the winds that carry the stories. Part of living in the Now is doing it right
Now. Setting things aside serves as a
seed for another day and quite possibly a different decade. When people ask me about my age I tell
them. Then it’s followed by, “I think.” The days.
They all run together.
