The epic robot-fighting series BattleBots returns for its second season as the world’s biggest, baddest, strongest, and fastest next-generation robots from all over the world duke it out for robot fighting supremacy. 2018 Champion Bite Force will return to defend its title against top competition including perennial contenders Tombstone, Minotaur, Witch Doctor, Bronco, Bombshell, and Yeti.
Each match consists of two robots competing in a single, three-minute bout, and the goal is to destroy or disable their opponent. If there is no knockout during the battle, a panel of judges will declare a victor. BattleBots also highlights the design and build of each robot, bot builder backstories, and their pursuit of the BattleBotschampionship. Homemade robots built on a number of platforms and featuring a huge variety of deadly weapons go head-to-head, all captured by state-of-the-art onboard technology and cameras to enhance viewing and provide combat analytics.
Calling all the action is veteran sportscaster Chris Rose. Chris was one of the original hosts of Fox’s popular The Best Damn Sports Show Period series, and was an on-air host at FOX Sports from 2000 to 2012 where he served as the on-site pregame show host and called play-by-play for MLB on FOX. He also hosted FOX's pre- and postgame coverage for the 2009 All-Star Game and World Series. In addition to his baseball work, Chris called play-by-play for FOX NFL Sunday and hosted FOX Sports' Bowl Championship Series coverage for the last four years.
