Christopher Meloni currently stars and is executive producer of Syfy’s Happy! He is best known for for his roles on, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, HBO’s prison drama Oz and as the vampire Roman in True Blood. Meloni’s film credits include Man of Steel, Wet Hot American Summer, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, 12 Monkeys, Runaway Bride, 42, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Meloni joins season three of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale in episode 6 (airing on 6/26) as the powerful and magnetic Commander Winslow. The third season of the show is driven by titular handmaid June’s (Elisabeth Moss) resistance to the dystopian regime of Gilead, in which she finds herself once again after opting not to flee to Canada with her baby at the end of the second season. Now, she will struggle to strike back against the regime against “overwhelming odds.” The streamer is promising that “startling reunions, betrayals and a journey to the terrifying heart of Gilead force all characters to take a stand, guided by one defiant prayer: ‘Blessed be the fight.'”

The Handmaid’s Tale is based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood. The series stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle, Amanda Brugel, and Bradley Whitford. Episodes are released weekly.
