From a former slave turned fighter supporting Spartacus during his uprising, to the daughter of the notorious leader of The League of Assassins, Katrina Law has become internationally known through the strong, diverse, and complex female characters she has brought to life on screen. This year Law joins the cast of CBS' award winning action/drama series "Hawaii Five-0" starring opposite Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Cann. Now in its 10th season the show has remained a staple on CBS' Friday night programming, and follows an elite task force whose mission is to eliminate crime on the beaches of the Aloha State.
Law is introduced throughout episode one of season ten as Quinn Liu, a former staff sergeant with Army CID recently demoted for insubordination. After an explosive collision with Five-0 on a case involving veterans, she soon becomes a loyal ally to the team that always has valued integrity over playing by the rules. "Hawaii Five-0" is currently airing new episodes.
Law was most recently seen starring as Karen Beach alongside Sean Bean and Ryan Kwanten in Sony Crackle's "The Oath" (Executive Produced by Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson), a role she held for two seasons. She also continues to recur as Nyssa Al Ghul, a fan favorite on the CW's hit action adventure series, "Arrow." Additional notable credits including a series regular role on "Training Day" for CBS, and starring as Mira on the critically acclaimed STARZ series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" and "Spartacus: Vengeance."
Growing up, Law was enthralled with all things pertaining to the arts and excelled in dance and theatre. She attended The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey where she received a B.A. in Theater. She continued working in theater for several years honing her skills, and even received two Irene Ryan A.C.T.F. nominations for her work as "Olivia" in Twelfth Night (Stockton Theater Fest) and as the "Bride" in Blood Wedding (Stockton Theater Fest.) In 2001 Law landed her first television gig on the NBC series "Third Watch" and continued to build her resume by securing roles in notable television series including "CSI: Miami" (CBS), "Legend of the Seeker" (ABC), and "Chuck" (NBC). She also starred in the web series "The Resistance," which was picked up by Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures and Starz Media and went on to air on Syfy, iTunes, Xbox Live, The PlayStation Network, and Dailymotion. The pilot was the first time a series created originally for the web, premiered on television.
On the film front Law has starred in the Hallmark Original Movies "Twelve Gifts of Christmas" and "Snow Bride" and in several independent films including: Quinn Saunders' "Apparition," T.J. Scott's "Death Valley," Charles Smith's "Zeroes," and Austin Reading's "Darkness Rising." She was also featured in a pivotal role as Danny Glover's right-hand woman in the independent feature "Checkmate" directed by Timothy Woodward Jr.
Law currently supports a variety of charities, including Kitt Crusaders, Children's Miracle Network, Variety Children's Charity, and The International Rescue Committee. In addition to acting, she is also the lead singer in a band called Soundboard Fiction. Law currently splits her time between Los Angeles and Hawaii (where she films "Hawaii Five-0") where she lives with her husband Keith, and daughter Kinley.
