-Sheila E., known to all as The Queen of Percussion, has teamed with
her close friend, legendary rap superstar Snoop Dogg, to record a fun and electrifying new
song. “No Line”, was produced by Sheila E. and co-written by Sheila E., Latin singer Debi Nova
and Mychael Gabriel. It is the first release from the upcoming Sheila E. album.
It’s hard to believe these two legendary performers have never created music together. They
have admired each other for years and talked about working together, but until now have
never had the chance. After connecting at the taping for the upcoming PBS special, Grammy
Salute Music Legends, which Sheila E. hosted, Sheila sent Snoop the song and asked the rapper
to put his touches on it. Snoop added his signature rap and “No Line” was finished. Says Sheila
E. about ‘No Line,” on “No Line” I sing about everyone being a VIP at a Sheila E. party and
concert! We are all equal. There is no line between us.”
The two spent a couple of hours writing new material live with the band and DJ Battlecat, so
it’s pretty much a sure thing that more Sheila/Snoop material will come out in the near future.
