Ricky grew up in a conservative town and spent most of his time at church. At 16, he joined a Christian group and traveled around the U.S. for three years spreading his faith. Ricky's faith was so strong, he hid the fact that he was gay from almost everyone. Ricky went on to attend Belmont University where he was introduced to secular music. He began to find himself as a musician, but felt he was living a double life by continuing to hide his sexuality. Ricky is finally ready to share his music and true self on "The Voice."
