Daylan from I Love Kellie Pickler

You can move the country folk out of Albemarle. But you can't move the country out of the folk. Daylan and Kellie Pickler have been lifelong friends. While she's pumping out the hits. He's pumping up the weights. It's the laughter and fun behind the scenes that makes this a great place to hangout on CMT. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Daylan!!! When Kellie comes back in town, do you spend a lot of time with the two of them? Or do you try to give them their space? I gotta take it from a 10 to 6 when Kellie is in town, because she will give me that look, you know. She’s scary sometimes when she gives you that look. Would you say you and Kyle are a lot alike? We’ve got a lot in common, and we do get along really well. It’s weird. He’s like a mentor and a best friend and a brother. Just depends on what day of the week it is and whether he’s beating me up or giving me advice or loving on me, I never know. In last week’s episode, you and Kyle try hot yoga with Kellie, and it didn’t go so “hot” for you. Will you ever do that again? Hell, no! Are you kidding me? Ha, but no, I would try it again. It was intense, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Like I said, I train martial arts, so I thought it would just be hot and I would sit there and stretch, but it was freaking horrible.

TJ Miller

Coming to Charlotte's Comedy Zone on New Years Day for one show. One of the funniest off the cuff crank it up now because everything is funny types of guys. You know him from the big screen. You've heard his comedy over and over in your head because you never stop laughing about it. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with TJ Miller. A comedian. Improvisation, Sketch and Stand-up comedy are his forte. Originally from Denver, Colorado, (an East Angel), he went to college in Washington, D.C. There he performed with the group receSs for 4 years, being the only person in his class out of 100 to audition and be accepted into the group. He remained the sole member of receSs until his junior year, when he was joined by Michael "Tuck The Ruckus" Tokaruk, an acclaimed comedian and equestrian, who taught T.J. how to ride a horse, a pastime he calls "droll." He met his future wife, Kate Gorney, when they performed in "A Chorus Line" in university production of the musical. She played The Ballerina (being an accomplished ballerina herself) and he played Richie, the African American character. He credits the casting to East High School, which was a primarily black and Latino high school, and also that no black people auditioned for the part. During his Time in the nation's capital, he studied classical acting at B.A.D.A in Oxford, England and circus arts at Frichess Theatre Urbain. He was outstanding in the field of Stilt Walking, but was never able to execute any trick, at all, on Trapeze. He is an accomplished Clown and Juggler, having mastered 5 ball juggling, over fifty 3-ball tricks, clubs, torches, knives, and his specialty (which garnered him a Magician Membership to The Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA) Cigar Boxes. After graduating with honors (a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Persuasion Theory and Social Influence) he moved to Chicago where he began performing with independent improvisation teams such as the group Chuckle Sandwich, the i.o. house team Bullet Lounge, The sketch group Heavy Weight (with Mark Raterman, Nick Vatterott & Brady Novak). He toured with Second City for almost 2 years (though he was never a company member of the MainStage), and during that time he missed over 15 flights to various cities the company toured to. During his time in Chicago, he performed Standup every night for almost 4 years, never taking a night off even on Holidays. He became a regular at Chicago's famed alternative room The Lincoln Lodge, and only performed at Chicago's Zanies Comedy Club 3 times in 4 years, apparently because they had an aversion to his absurdist style. Miller's first appearance on television was on The Standard Deviants, a PBS show aimed at providing educational DVDs and programming for schools. He played a knight and a dinosaur detective. Proficient in every medium of comedy (he considers even 'acting' simply another medium of comedy) he is also a Voice Over Artist, having worked for Old Style, Mucinex, Cars.com among other brands as well as in feature films & animated television shows. In 2011 he produced a 42 track E.P. entitled "The Extended Play E.P." with Comedy Central Records, a Folk/Pop/Hip Hop concept album, which he describes as satirical; aimed at celebrities that cross over into other mediums they have no business being in simply because of their brand name (he also considers himself "a proponent of the semicolon, "it is underused and feared for no particular reason"). He then remixed this album with Illegal Art, a legitimate music label, enlisting the roster of artists on the label (including the godfather of sampling, "Steinski") the same year. According to him, this was to prove that the album, when given to actual musicians, became superior to the original, in addition to satirizing artists that remix one song and sell it to listeners multiple times. He considers his greatest performance to be his portrayal of Ranger Jones, in Yogi Bear 3D, which filmed in New Zealand and wrapped shortly before his seizure that led to the discovery of an AVM (which he alleges confirmed rather than initiated his Absurdist Philosophy). He has stated multiple times that it was the pinnacle of his artistic career, and that "it's in some ways comforting to have reached the pinnacle of his career so early on" and that is has been all downhill since that point. Aside from being a major proponent of Denver, his hometown, he has done extensive charity work and continues to visit East High School, where he did his first stand-up performance in drama class. He credits his teacher, Melody Duggan, for much of his success and thanked her specifically in his speech when he won a Critic's Choice Award for best supporting actor in a comedy series (For HBO's Silicon Valley). He frequently cites his compulsive and almost pathologically driven work ethic as an altruistic effort to distract people from the tragedy that permeates everyday life, and believed that comedy would be more of a contribution than psychology, since instead of affecting only at most a few hundred people dramatically, he can affect millions of people in small increments. He has publicly stated he believes "Comedians are the new philosophers" and that academic philosophers are no longer relevant. However, he is a student of philosophy and subscribes to the ethical philosophy of John Stuart Mill (Utilitarianism), which states that one should make the most amount happiness for the most amount of people, which he cites as one of the reasons he made the his decision to be a comedian. His stand-up (as of 2015) is aimed at "discussing Time and the release of the death anxiety." By the age of 33 he had read all of Nietzsche's works, and considers himself an Absurdist with philosophical roots in Nihilism. He resides in Los Angeles, where he struggles to make meaning in an uncertain world.

December People Classic Rock Christmas

You know the Classic Rock songs. But do you know what Christmas song they become? That's the magic of December People. White Wedding from Billy Idol evolves into White Christmas. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with legendary rockers Gary Pihl from Boston and Robert Berry from Carl Palmer and Sammy Hagar. Robert Berry created the A Classic Rock Christmas concept to make Holiday music hip and relevant for today's listeners and to have a way to give back to each community through Food Bank donations. Robert has performed with some of the best musicians of today and of the Classic Rock era. Keith Emerson, Carl Palmer, Sammy Hagar, Ambrosia. He is presently the bass player for the Greg Kihn Band. Gary Pihl, guitars/vocals for A Classic Rock Christmas. Continuing 30+ years with the band Boston. Before Boston, Gary was the guitar player in the Sammy Hagar Band and played on many hit records with Sammy. Previous to Sammy Hagar, Gary worked with Norman Greenbaum of "Spirit in the Sky" fame. Gary adds his undeniable rock edge to the A Classic Rock Christmas sound. We're proud to have Jack Foster of the Jack Foster Band on guitar and vocals for A Classic Rock Christmas. Jack is an internationally known solo artist with 4 albums out in Europe and Japan on the Musea label. Jack's creative songwriting flare, his vocal harmony skills and technical guitar ability are invaluable to the ACRC sound. David Medd is the "new kid" with twenty years as the keyboard player for The Tubes so you know he has a sense of humor! He adds the high lead vocals to A Classic Rock Christmas and some considerably challenging harmony parts to the mix. Dave has also toured with Quicksilver Messenger Service and Alliance. The keyboards are challenging in ACRC music and Dave pulls it off with power and dexterity. David Lauser is still rockin' it after 30 years behind the drums for The Sammy Hagar Band, and now he's bringin' the party, and the thunder, to the holidays with the A Classic Rock Christmas.

Keith Alberstadt

A total comedy case! His wit is completely in tune with every reason why we find fun in laughing. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Keith Alberstadt. Witty. Clever. Likable. Hilarious. These have all been used to describe comedian Keith Alberstadt. For over a decade, Keith has been entertaining comedy fans all over the world -- club audiences in the U.S., expats in Asia, as well as U.S. troops throughout the Middle East. Simply put, his style of comedy is one that pulls everyone in. Whether it’s his sarcastic approach, his playful attitude, or his good old-fashioned southern charm, Keith makes his comedy relatable and approachable. Growing up the youngest of four in a close-knit Catholic family in Nashville, Keith quickly developed a sense of humor and a love for making others laugh. When he co-hosted the high school talent show at the age of 18, he found his calling. But first there was college, then a job at Vanderbilt as the sideline reporter for the football team’s radio broadcasts. As a die-hard Vandy fan, it was a dream gig! While it was difficult to bite his tongue on the air and avoid FCC fines, it was even more difficult to break away and do his own thing. But eventually he did. Since leaving the office world behind, it’s been non-stop for Keith. Starting at his home club Zanies, he’s worked all over the country and now calls New York City home. Along the way, he built a solid career that includes such credits as ... Late Show with David Letterman Late Night with Seth Meyers Last Comic Standing Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update (contributing writer) Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (contributing writer) Comics Unleashed Eight comedy tours for the troops -- Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and throughout the Middle East Fox News Red Eye It continues to be non-stop, with much much more to come on the horizon. Go see Keith when he comes to your city, and see for yourself!! - See more at: http://keithcomedy.com/bio/#sthash.mwavJpZc.dpuf

Neil Geraldo One December Night

When your love in life is Christmas. You can't sit around and let the holiday arrive only once a year. Famed Classic Rock guitar Neil Geraldo has been deep in a project to reignite the night with brand new shapes and tastes of Christmas music. With his wife Pat Benatar at his side and his two incredibly creative daughters. The arrival of a new wall of sound is being introduced this holiday season. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Neil Geraldo. “One December Night” by Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, is the first offering from Producer/Musician Neil Giraldo’s Holiday record due out later in 2016. The track is available now at digital outlets such as iTunes and Amazonmp3. The album (whose title is yet to be named) will feature all original songs of various styles with special guest vocalists and guest players, somewhat akin to producer Phil Spector’s famous Christmas record from the 60’s. When asked about the project, Producer Neil Giraldo comments, “My intention was to write new songs that expressed the feelings and the emotional components that embraces peoples’ lives during the holiday season at the end of the year; hope, family, love, found love and lost, new beginnings, coming home, et cetera. One December Night was written by our youngest daughter Hana, Patricia, and myself and features Pat Benatar on vocals as well as Hana Giraldo on background vocals. This is the first song we have written as a family and our oldest daughter Haley Giraldo is involved in the artwork. For this recording, I wanted to capture the holiday charm of the 50’s and 60’s but with a modern cross breed bluesy approach รก la The Stroll. Along with a roots based rhythm section, add in a bit of street corner Salvation Army percussion, slide guitar and piano, Patricia’s powerful voice and a hint of “The Ronettes” and there you have it, One December Night!” jingle jingle!!!! -NG The Players……. Elliott Landy The Band Photographs

They helped set the tone of what was the Artist and who was the Pop musician. To this day The Band has always been somewhat of a Classic Rock Mystic. Who were they and what kept them so humble. Now the pictures have been released. Each setting the tone by way of understanding the images of today's Artists versus Pop stars. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with famed photographer Elliott Landy. Once in a while a photographer gains the trust of an artist or a band, and his work fuses with that of the artist in such a way that the two become married in the public consciousness. One can think of David Duncan's pictures of Picasso at work or Alfred Wertheimer's pictures of Elvis backstage in 1956. Elliott Landy's chronicle of The Band from 1968-1969 is of similar importance. He was trusted so deeply that this group of photographs is as intimate a portrait of a group of musicians inventing a new music as you are ever likely to come across. Today we call that music "Americana," and it is played all over the world by everyone from Mumford and Sons to the Zac Brown Band. But in 1968, when Elliott first started making these pictures, it was played by six musicians in the town of Woodstock, New York Bob Dylan and a group called The Hawks. They later changed their name to The Band. They had been The Hawks for five years when Bob Dylan pulled them out of Tony Mart's dive bar on the Jersey Shore to be his band.

Jordan Smith The Winner of The Voice

Last night he wins The Voice on NBC. Today he's Unplugged and Totally Uncut with me on iHeart Radio. Mr. Jordan Smith. Jordan has a very unique voice - it is so high pitched that he's often mistaken for a woman on the phone - and as a kid, he dealt with self-esteem issues and always had trouble fitting in. Jordan grew up in a musical family. His father was a professional pianist and his mother is a singer, so making the decision to pursue singing at Lee University, where he performed at the Presidential Inauguration with his choir, was an easy choice. Jordan wants to show people it is okay to be yourself, even if you're different, on The Voice. Semifinals performance: "Somebody to Love" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQao9OnpmLU

Dennis McNally Jerry On Jerry

Here it is... the man that once sat across from Jerry Garcia and did nothing but share conversations. It was never about the interview. It was always about connecting. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Publicist Dennis McNally. These never-before-published interviews with Jerry Garcia reveal his thoughts on religion, politics, his personal life, and his creative process. Jerry on Jerry provides new insight into the beloved frontman of the Grateful Dead in time for the 50th Anniversary of the band. Released by the Jerry Garcia Family and made available to the public for the first time, these are some of the most candid, intimate interviews with Jerry Garcia ever published. Here, Garcia speaks openly about everything from growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area and his first encounters with early R&B to his thoughts on songwriting, LSD, the Beats and Neal Cassady, government, movies, and more. Illustrated with family photographs, ephemera, and Jerry's artwork, Jerry on Jerry presents uniquely poignant, unguarded, and astute moments, showing a side of Jerry that even his biggest fans have not known.

Comedian George Wallace

Nobody can do it like George plays the stage. It's not just the performance but its the connection. And like the album Frampton Comes Alive. Only George can turn a live performance into a classic collection of life moving forward in the most fun filled way. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the legendary George Wallace. By the age of six, George Wallace knew he wanted to be a comedian. He always enjoyed making people laugh, but he also knew the importance of an education. He attended the University of Akron, Ohio and upon graduating with degrees in Transportation, Marketing/Advertising, plus advance studies in Radio and Television from Columbia School of Broadcasting. Literally, a rags-to-riches story, Wallace went from selling rags to VP of Advertising. Still, his dream of being a comedian had a strong hold on him. Within a week of leaving the advertising field, he began to perform stand-up comedy and was offered a job writing for “The Red Foxx Show.” Wallace is currently pursuing dual coursework at University of Phoenix and DeVry. With his writing and stand-up experience, Wallace began landing television appearances. Wallace was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Soul Train/Centric Comedy All-Star Awards; and won Best Stand Up Comedian at the prestigious American Comedy Awards after four consecutive nominations. As a veteran radio personality, he has also made appearances on “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” and is a charter member of “The Tom Joyner Morning Show.” In 2004 Wallace appeared as the headlining star of his own show at The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas for a 30 day run. Sin City showed its admiration by extending Wallace’s contract indefinitely and nicknaming him “The New Mr. Vegas.” Unlike any other comedy show in Las Vegas, Wallace gave away a number of prizes every night including CDs, DVDs, diamond necklaces, dinner at prestigious restaurants, gourmet chocolates, tropical cruises and even a new car. He celebrated his 10th Anniversary headlining at the Flamingo in March 2014, announced he was closing the show to head back out on the road. Wallace regularly performs in comedy clubs across the country and is an ambassador for the United States government, performing at military bases all over the world. His first book, LAFF IT OFF (Chaite Press) was published in 2014. A tome of life wisdom, humor and insight from a lifetime of observation, the book is in its third printing. Wallace’s most recognized material is his “I Be Thinkin’” lines and jokes about everything from conversational thoughts to political aspirations. Each show he engages members of the audience in comical banter. If provoked, he might even throw out a few of his signature “Yo Mama” jokes. He shows his gratitude to the audience by signing autographs and taking photos after every show. Audience members never know what will happen at the George Wallace show. Wallace is an evolving comedian, which is why his show is different every night. He’s always thinkin’. Fans can now get a taste of what Wallace be thinkin’ on Twitter @MrGeorgeWallace. His new album, Large & In Charge, is available via Amazon and ITunes now. Drew Baldridge

2016 is about to become one of the most energetic years of the Country Music decade. Making waves is this newcomer from the open fields of southern Illinois. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Drew Baldridge. As a 12-year-old Drew Baldridge and his buddy rolled his father’s Old MGB in front of the derby crowd because the car wouldn’t even start, the youngster was already a seasoned performer. The duo went on to perform a stellar rendition of “Greased Lightning” with his buddy in the back of the car, fake cigarette in mouth, sliding down the front of the car, and with detailed choreography to match the racy lyrics. You could say it was quite salacious for the small town of Patoka, IL, population 600. This memory only marks one of the upbeat mid-westerner’s childhood performances. “I’ve loved performing from a very early age. I performed to “Thriller” and “Men in Black” at my elementary school talent show. My mom would make up choreography to go along with the songs. It was great,” recalls Baldridge. “I would take to the dance floor at wedding reception even if no one was dancing just to be able to perform in front of people. That’s when I learned how to win over a crowd. They would all be applauding by the end of the song,” says Drew with a smile. Standing at 6’1", Drew grew up playing basketball and baseball, but would perform the “National Anthem” at all his games. “The high school I went to was too small for a band, but no one thought anything of me being a jock and a singer. I used any and every outlet I could to share my passion with others. The openly Christian teenager joined a quartet at church singing bass while his father sang tenor. Later on he began playing acoustic gigs at a nearby bar on Saturday nights. “My Dad stood by me and my preacher told me Jesus didn’t just preach in church, and I could be that light through my music.” “It made perfect sense to become a country artist. I like to tell stories, and singing about where I come from,” explains Baldridge. He recalls his father buying a Dodge Intrepid when he was five years old and the owner threw in a cassette tape with the deal. “Alabama’s ‘Born Country’ was the first country song I fell in love with. We played that cassette over and over. The song rang true to me because my grandpa’s childhood home was just down the road, where the house that his father built by hand still stands.” Four generations of Baldridge’s family have lived and farmed that land in rural Illinois. “If you have to describe my music in 3 words, I would have to say it’s fun, real, and positive,” says the singer/songwriter. “I love what Keith Urban says about creating music; ‘We don’t make music to impress, but to inspire.’ I truly believe that you know.” One of his favorite songs he recently worked on is “God’s Front Porch,” which was released on Easter of this year and is featured on Crossing County Lines Vol. II. “What a blessing it would be to be in the presence of the Lord on his front porch.” In 2013, Drew signed with THiS Music, joining the ranks of Nashville’s most prominent and prolific songwriters. He went on to release his debut EP, All Good and his singles “BYOB” and “She’s Taken” became Midwestern radio staples. His new music project, Crossing County Lines is being released in three installments throughout 2015. The first volume was released this past December and debuted at #15 on the iTunes Country Chart. CCL Vol. II released April 7. Known as much as a performer as a singer, Drew brings a rousing, energy-packed show to every opening or headlining date. “I am so very excited for my fans and future fans to hear my song ‘Dance With Ya.’ I went into the songwriting session with this melody in my head, and I said I want something that I could dance to. That’s what we created,” says Baldridge. The tune features a horn section, hypnotic chorus and topped off with Drew’s signature dance moves, “Dance With Ya” is destined to be a crowd-pleaser. “I want to build my career the way Eric Church built his. He has an incredible fan base that he gained out on the road, which is similar to what we are doing. “Team work makes the dream work’ is the motto me and my band go by.” Catch up-and-comer Drew Baldridge and his band on the road in a city near you.

Kelly Rowland

I figured since Empire on FOX has wrapped up for the season on the set. The next best thing to acting and singing is shopping right? I mean Destiny's Child always looked their best. It's fun to break out in a conversation with someone shopping. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Kelly Rowland. Kelly Rowland recently wrote "superwoman" on her mirror -- and kept it there for a couple of weeks, because these days she feels like she has to be a superwoman to keep up with everything she has going on. The singer/actress has had a whirlwind of a year, marrying longtime love Tim Witherspoon in May 2014 and giving birth to her first child last fall. She has since landed a gig on Fox's hit show "Empire," inked a deal to shoot a TV series for BET and hit the studio to record a new song -- her first in two years. Now, she's gearing up for the holiday season -- and trying to get a head start on holiday shopping, too. On how she landed a role in "Empire": "I actually got a chance to see [series creator] Lee [Daniels] at Soul Cycle. We're sitting across from each other and the next thing I knew he was like, 'I know who you are! I know who are you!' I looked at him and said, 'What are you talking about?' And literally the next day the 'Empire' team called and the next week I was on a plane to Chicago to do the role of Leah, which has been amazing." On her "Empire" character, Leah Walker, Lucious: "I play Lucious' mom [in flashbacks] who actually suffered from bipolar disease and the thing she and I have in common is that we just genuinely love our children. We want to be great mothers ... How deep her goes for Lucious just takes her breath away and just playing for this role for me was so much fun. I respected the show and Lee and the characters so much, I really just dove right in and stayed in the moment. I didn't want to record around that time, I just wanted to focus on the role." On whether she'll appear in season 3: "It hasn't been approached yet. I love the project that he's working on and we did say we wanted to work together again. So we will see what happens!" On her new song, "Dumb": "It's all about how women make men go dumb. I just think that we are just so smart -- it doesn't matter if you are young or old, I just feel like women are five steps ahead of men. It's very empowering. It's a fun song. I had very good time in the studio recording it. I'm actually about to shoot a video for it that's taken a lot of preparation. My fans hadn't heard new music from me in two years between the birth of my son and wanting to spend some quality time with mom. It took me away from music. I was still in the studio, but not as much as I'm used to because I'm still learning how to balance my time." On a new full-length album: "I'm still working on it. 'Dumb' is just teaser. It's just the scratch on the surface for the rest of the record. It's a fun record and I just wanted to put out something fun for the fans and to let them know I'm still having a fun time and still having a great time in the studio." On being a mom to Titan, born in November 2014: "I don't want to go too far away from him. I'm kind of addicted to my son. But I have to work. I need to be able to pay for him! So, I have to get to work. The past two weeks for me, I actually wrote on my mirror 'Superwoman.' And I said, 'He wouldn't put anything on you that you couldn't bear.' And my son came at the most beautiful time in my life and I just have to learn like every other mom how to balance because I'm still grasping that concept. It's a very hard concept. Nobody told me that!" On her holiday plans: "I like to just focus on family. I like to be around the house. I like to cook. And now that Titan is older, he's going to be with his cousins. We're planning a whole bunch of little activities, holiday crafts and baking. I'm so excited. He's going to understand this year. Of course, last year he was almost a month old." On her favorite holiday dishes: "Sweet potato pie. My husband's mom just sent me the full recipe for her dressing and it's the most amazing thing you have ever had. I actually need to go pick her up a lovely present just for making me dressing." The 34-year-old star recently teamed with Plenti rewards (Hulu, Macy's, Rite Aid and Exxon) in time for its "35 Days of Plenti"holiday sweepstakes. The grand prize is a 2016 Ford Explorer. On holiday shopping and teaming with Plenti: "I actually have started. The other day when I was at Macy's -- I got a gift card for my godkids, so they can go shopping for themselves before Christmas or maybe right after Christmas. I just like to get them done really, really early ... The good thing is that it earns me [Plenti] points, so when I'm going shopping for them, I get their parents something, too." On her upcoming BET series, "Chasing Destiny": "It's almost like letting the viewer take this ride and this journey upon finding the group ... The only thing I really require from the girls is professionalism, which is the same thing the label required of myself and the ladies. I remember first starting out with Destiny's Child and that was a rigorous schedule -- basically sharpening our vocal skills and performance skills and interviewing skills. So we'll be taking you behind the scenes of what really goes into everything." On advice for aspiring artists: "I would say to know your passion and purpose very clearly. I think a lot of people look at Instagram and they're like, 'I got this many followers, and I'm popping.' But that's not the case, you got to put work ethic behind it. You have to put professionalism behind it, technique behind it -- there are all kinds of things that go behind being great. It takes time and patience and knowing yourself and being secure within yourself, especially when you're in a group. Don't be selfie-absorbed. Gary Hoey OHoly Night

Imagine being invited to travel to Los Angeles to audition for Ozzy Osbourne's band. When the guitar becomes part of your body and you a string from its soul. Amazing things begin to play. Celebrating 20 years of adding a rock edge to Christmas music is what this's man's been up to. And 2015 is no different. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with legendary guitarist Gary Hoey. Gary has contributed a previously unreleased recording of "O Holy Night" to a new holiday CHARITY CD, "A Blue Elan Christmas." 100% of the profits from “A Blue Elan Christmas” will be donated to The Alliance For Children’s Rights, an organization that protects the rights of impoverished, abused and neglected children and youth, specifically those in the foster care system. By providing free legal services and advocacy, the Alliance ensures children have safe, stable homes, healthcare and the education they need to thrive. To date, The Alliance has served more than 125,000 at-risk children in its 21-year history. After the guitar virtuoso’s success with a top 5 Billboard hit in 1993 with his cover of “Hocus Pocus”, Hoey transformed the world of Christmas music by applying his fiery guitar techniques to what would be the first Ho Ho Hoey album in 1995. 2015 marks the 20th anniversary of Gary Hoey’s very popular Ho Ho Hoey Christmas music and tour. 20 years ago, Gary recorded his first Ho Ho Hoey album on an eight track digital recorder in his bedroom after his mom said, “you need to record a nice Christmas album.” and he replied, "no mom, I need to record a rockin’ Christmas album." Little did he know he would be the first to adapt instrumental rock guitar to Christmas Classics, creating a tradition at rock radio stations and homes around the world. After selling hundreds of thousands of copies, what Gary is most proud of, is all the fundraisers, food drives, clothing drives, Toys for Tots, helping the Wounded Warriors and American veterans that’s what makes the last 20 years so special. The Ho Ho Hoey Complete Collection includes 37 Hoey-ized holiday songs into a two-disc set. Some of Hoey’s holiday highlights include two songs featured in Hallmark’s musical greeting cards, “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” “Deck The Halls” was featured in the movie, “Deck The Halls” starring Danny Devito. This year marks his 7th Annual Ho Ho Hoey Guitar Give-Away of an autographed Squier Stratocaster by Fender on Christmas Day. Richard Young From The Kentucky Head Hunters

Chuck Berry once sang the lyrics, "Go! Go Johnny Go!" Did you know that Johnny was a real person. His piano player Johnny Johnson. The Kentucky Head Hunters were the last to record with Johnny and the album is now ready for your electronic stage. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Richard Young from the Kentucky Head Hunters. On January 25, 2003, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Johnnie Johnson—the man Rolling Stone called “the greatest sideman in rock and roll” for his groundbreaking piano work with Chuck Berry—stepped on stage at Houston, Texas’ Reliant Stadium. He joined his hosts, The Rolling Stones, for a rousing rendition of Honky Tonk Women. After hanging out all night with Keith Richards, Johnson got on a plane and flew to Kentucky. There he reunited with his good friends, Grammy-winning Southern blues-rockers The Kentucky Headhunters (brothers Richard and Fred Young, Greg Martin, Doug Phelps and Anthony Kenney). The plan was to have Johnnie lay down some piano for the band’s upcoming release, Soul. But the vibe was too strong and the music too good, so the tapes just kept rolling. With songs and arrangements furiously being created on the spot and everything recorded live as it happened over the course of three days, a magical musical event was underway. Because the whole session was spontaneous, there were no immediate plans to release an album. After Johnnie’s death in 2005, the tapes, while never forgotten, remained unissued. The performances, which can now be heard on Meet Me In Bluesland, found Johnson playing some of the deepest and most rocking blues piano of his legendary career. With The Kentucky Headhunters at their down-home best, the record is a country-fried, blues-infused party from start to finish. The album grooves from the raunchy rock of Stumblin’ to the slide-fueled Superman Blues to the roof-raising version of Little Queenie to the salacious She’s Got To Have It (the last vocal Johnson ever recorded). “The minute Johnnie sat down with us, the music was a kind of ecstasy,” says guitarist/vocalist Richard Young. “Johnnie made us play like real men,” adds guitarist/vocalist Greg Martin. “Playing with him, the groove got bigger and much more grown up.” Drummer Fred Young explains, “We all admired Johnnie from the start. The first time we played with him was the first time I ever felt like we were doing it right. The music we made on Meet Me In Bluesland is as good as it gets.”

Rob Schneider from Real Rob

You know how they've always said that Rob Schneider is the shadow of Adam Sandler. Not any more. His new comedy series on Netflix is bust out loud funny. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged with the writer of the show. The producer, director and the man that forked out the money to make it possible. Rob Schneider. Rob Schneider's comedy series Real Rob is coming to Netflix. The eight-episode scripted series, starring, produced and directed by Schneider, will come to Netflix on Dec. 1. It is the first time the series will be airing. Real Rob will be available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. It is distributed by Tricon Films & Television. The series mixes scripted comedy with Schneider's stand-up performances and is "an exaggerated yet brutally honest depiction of Schneider’s real life." "I couldn't be more thrilled to have our audience watch Real Rob on the best platform in the world — Netflix,” Schneider said in a statement. The show follows Schneider as he manages "the ups and downs of a Hollywood career," his family life, "ever-present stalker" Max Amini and his "completely incompetent assistant" Jamie Lissow. Norm Macdonald and George Lopez will make guest appearances. Schneider recently inked a deal with TRiCon Films and Television for the international distribution of his new television comedy series, “Real Rob.” The self-financed, eight-episode, independently produced comedy series was directed, co-written and stars Schneider with his real life wife, Mexican television producer Patricia Azarcoya. “Real Rob” comes two years after “Rob,” the CBS sitcom that Schneider also wrote, produced, and starred in. CBS’s “Rob” premiered to an audience of 13.5 million viewers and averaged 11 million viewers over the run of its 8 episodes. When CBS chose not to pick up the show, Schneider said, “Eleven million viewers is not enough for them, it’s enough for me. I’ll do it myself.” Schneider is the first actor to have written, produced, starred, directed and self-financed an entire season of a television show. The second season of “Real Rob” will begin production in summer 2015. Schneider is currently filming The Ridiculous Six with Adam Sandler. The Ridiculous Six will be the first feature film distributed by Netflix. This film marks the eighteenth collaboration between the Sandler and Schneider. Their longtime friendship has spanned some twenty-five years and produced comedic hits such as Grown Ups, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, 50 First Dates, Big Daddy and The Waterboy. Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison, produced several films written by and starring Schneider, including Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, which was the second highest grossing DVD in the US in 2000, The Hot Chick and The Animal. Schneider has appeared in 50 films. He has co-starred with Sylvester Stallone, Rachael McAdams, Steve Buscemi, David Carradine, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kelsey Grammer, David Spade, Kevin James, Chris Rock and M. Emmet Walsh, among many others. Schneider’s films have grossed over $2.6 billion in North America alone. In 2009, after a nearly twenty-year hiatus, Schneider made his return to stand-up comedy. He has released two albums since then, Registered Offender and Soy Sauce and the Holocaust, and has received rave reviews for his international comedy tours. Schneider began writing jokes as a teenager, appearing at local comedy clubs such as the “Holy City Zoo,” made famous by Robin Williams. Schneider made his major network television debut in 1987 performing stand-up on “The David Letterman Show.” In 1989 Lorne Michaels saw Schneider’s appearance on HBO’s “13th Annual Young Comedians Special” and hired him as a writer on “Saturday Night Live.” Schneider quickly became a regular. During his four seasons at “SNL,” Schneider created characters that people around the country imitated and adored, including the “copy machine guy,” the “orgasm guy,” and the “put your weed in there guy.” He performed memorable sketches with Charlton Heston, John Malkovich, Macaulay Culkin, Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum, Joe Pesci and others. As part of the SNL writing staff, Schneider was nominated for three Emmys and won a Peabody Award. Schneider, born and raised in Northern California, has been a lifelong San Francisco Giants baseball fan. In each of their three World Series Championship runs, Rob was asked to come out onto the field and cheer the team and its fans to victory. Rob lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife Patricia and their daughter Miranda.

James Gregory

My goal isn't to bust open a can of comedy. But rather to create space for the worlds funniest people to share a great conversation. That's where I find the person. The business man or woman. The thinker. The origin of the dream. And I've been waiting a long time for this guy. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with James Gregory For over two decades, the unforgettable caricature of veteran comedian James Gregory has stood grinning: his shirt untucked, his arms outstretched, a carefree welcome to a down-home, hilarious comedy experience. It’s storytelling at its best. The trademark caricature is the essence of humorist James Gregory’s comedy: rib-tickling reflections on life from the front porch. James is constantly touring. He’s on the road about three days a week, forty six weeks a year. He continues to entertain sold-out crowds in theaters and comedy clubs and remains in demand for corporate events. James has been the featured entertainer for over 200 corporations, including the Coca Cola Company, Kimberly Clark Corporation, Hewlett Packard and Kroger. James has also been the featured speaker for events sponsored by various civic and church groups. James is heard weekly on syndicated radio shows such as Rick and Bubba, John Boy and Billy and Bob and Tom. Combined, these shows are broadcast to people in over 220 cities nationwide. As a result, he now has a grass-roots following that numbers in the millions. James was born in a rural area about twenty five miles east of Atlanta, GA. He got his first job at the age of twelve at a small country grocery store. By the time he was fifteen, he was working thirty-seven hours a week, as well as going to school. As an adult, James has worked for the U.S. Postal Service, the Department of Defense, and spent almost ten years as a salesman before discovering the wonderful world of stand-up comedy. James does not “tip-toe” through life as if he’s walking on broken glass or egg shells. That style is evident on stage as well. He is not politically correct. Much of his humor is centered on brilliant observations of crazy relatives and people obsessed with the slightest change in weather conditions – now referred to as global warming. He delights in poking fun at modern sensitive parents and out-of-control environmentalists. Gregory has been quoted as saying, “If you want me to be concerned about endangered species, you need to convince me that we’re about out of chickens.” The James Gregory show turns the clock back to a time when life was simpler; to a better time, before the death of common sense; a time when people sat on the front porch and actually talked to each other without a cell phone in their ear. James’ success, like his comedy, is the direct result of the values he grew up with. And now, twenty something years later, it is this unique brand of humor that packs the crowds into his sold-out shows. The absence of vulgarity sets James apart and his stories are carefully crafted art. “I have lived long enough to know people, know life”, Gregory reflects. “My comedy is based on my life experiences. It’s real, it’s funny and the audience loves it. That’s why I’m still in business.

Lori Depp

My three favorite things are music, movies, and make-up! When I was about eight years old, I started to cut the hair off my dolls and draw make-up on them with pens. This really pissed my mother off because we were fairly poor, and the dolls were a luxury. By the time I was eleven, I was drawing eyes on pieces of paper with eyeliner and eye shadow, the lips I drew were drawn with lipstick, and the cheeks were rouge. I was thirteen when I walked into a small make-up boutique on Collins Avenue, in Miami Beach. The sales lady did my make up… THAT’S when I learned the difference between enhancing your features as opposed to exaggerating them. At fourteen, my biggest influences were musicians, groupies, models, drag queens, and actors and actresses. I have David Bowie and his remarkable chameleon-ship to thank for pointing me in a direction that allowed me to explore a less traditional future. Most of the kids I knew in school were going to become Doctors or Lawyers. At sixteen I had rainbow streaks in my hair, shaved off eyebrows, and a lot of unconventional articles of clothing that I wasn’t afraid to wear…in public. I was considered a freak among my peers, but the ability to be creative was more important to me than fitting in. In the late 70’s, when I was nineteen, I moved to New York City. There, I was surrounded by some really talented, (and not so talented) inspiring people; people that pushed the envelope and aspired to do EVERYTHING out of the ordinary. I lived at The Chelsea Hotel during the “infamous Sid and Nancy days.” It was a mecca of diversity and artistry. It was, to say the least, epically educational. Prior to becoming a professional make-up artist, my real passion was the music business. In the 1980’s, when I was just about twenty one, I moved to Los Angeles where I had a lot of friends in the music industry. They were able to open doors to the possibilities of realizing my dream and to take what I’d learned to the next level. My ultimate goal in life was to become a record producer, but as fate would have it a target shooting mishap left me partially deaf in my left ear and it was painfully clear that any chance of fulfilling that dream was over. I was lucky enough to have something that I loved to fall back on, once the music business endeavor didn’t work out. For me, doing make-up was equal (in a creative sense) to making records. It was something artistic, something I was good at, and less difficult because women were much more welcomed in this industry. My career as a professional make-up artist began with the help of my very good (and greatly talented) friends, Adam Ant and Christina Applegate. Thanks to them, I was able to move quickly from amateur to professional. Christina (Applegate) gave me my very first professional make-up kit, as well as giving me my first jobs within the Television community. Adam (Ant) gave me the opportunity to work on my very first film and my first play. He also introduced me to the up and coming photographers, who then put their subjects in my hands. Without these wonderful, talented people, I would not have had the long list of clients or jobs that I’ve been fortunate enough to have. From films, TV, Videos, and Print work, to Fashion shows, Red Carpet events, and Awards shows, I’ve had so many amazing experiences as a make-up artist, and I continue to learn something new every time I work… ever changing, ever challenging. I am happy to say that I still love it! You can check out some of my work on IMDB or my facebook page.

Life beyond Pong. You knew it wouldn't end after Donkey Kong. Rooster Teeth is a part of the world some have never traveled. Which is why there's now a map. The Red vs Blue Ultimate Guide. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Eddy Rivas. Dey Street Books is proud to announce the publication of RED VS BLUE: The Ultimate Fan Guide by Rooster Teeth, Eddy Rivas, and Burnie Burns (On Sale: November 17, 2015; ISBN: 9780062355782; $19.99). Part backstage pass, part love-letter to fans, and part gamer encyclopedia, RED VS BLUE is an in-depth look at the inner workings of a cultural phenomenon. Video games have moved far beyond being a niche interest; for many, they are a passion, a frequent hobby—and for many more, they have become a spectator sport. Outlets such as Amazon’s Twitch TV, or YouTube’s newly-launched gaming channel provide platforms for millions of fans to watch world-class or amateur players go through their favorite video games, and events such as the rapidly sold-out League of Legends Championship at Madison Square Garden prove that this is a sensation not strictly limited to the dark corners of the internet. Millennials who flocked to web series in droves and made YouTube a billion dollar company are frantically searching for more video content to consume—and they’re finding what they’re searching for in the form of e-sports and web gaming. •Their weekly podcast is consistently in the Top 10 podcasts on iTunes and tops the very crowded Video Games category. •Rooster Teeth is the #4 non-music YouTube channel and #11 overall channel globally. Their videos have garnered over one billion views. •Rooster Teeth, the godfathers of online game streaming, has won multiple awards, including 2011, 2012, and 2013 Best Animated Series (Red vs. Blue) from the International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV). •Over 8 million YouTube subscribers •638k Twitter followers •790+k Facebook fans •Red vs. Blue went viral before “viral” was a thing. They started airing in 2003, before YouTube existed—and it’s still running! •The longest running sci-fi series in America Web videos and gaming have never been more visible than they are now, with discussions about gaming on the likes of Jimmy Kimmel Live and Late Night with Conan O’Brien continually propelling gaming even further into the limelight. Back in 2003, before YouTube even existed, five friends unleashed a sci-fi comedy web series on the world that paved the way for web series and videogame streaming as we know it. That series was Red vs. Blue. Written by the Chief Creative Officer of Rooster Teeth, Burnie Burns, and Eddy Rivas, RED VS. BLUE: The Ultimate Fan Guide is an ode to a modern sensation, coming straight from the minds of the godfathers of the modern web series and gaming culture. Rooster Teeth is a creative production studio, responsible for award-winning internet videos such as Red vs. Blue, the longest running web series in history, reality gamer series The Gauntlet, live action Rooster Teeth Shorts, and Immersion, a show that tests video game concepts in the real world. Rooster Teeth are the founders of gaming website AchievementHunter.com and produce the award-winning Rooster Teeth Podcast, voted Best Gaming Podcast at the 2012 Podcast Awards. With a dedicated worldwide fan community, Rooster Teeth created RTX (Rooster Teeth Expo), an annual gaming and internet convention held in Austin, TX which attracts thousands of gamers and Rooster Teeth fans from around the world. Rooster Teeth has won multiple awards, including 2011, 2012, and 2013 Best Animated Series (Red vs. Blue) from the IAWTV, and has been featured by hundreds of major publications and networks including MTV, G4, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, Wired, and many more. The members of Rooster Teeth wrote scripts and recorded over their gameplay to create a series that tapped into the cultural zeitgeist, going viral before “viral” was even a thing. The birth of Rooster Teeth and Red vs. Blue was a watershed moment for modern pop culture; it’s the longest running web series on the internet, as well as the longest running sci-fi series in America. It’s been over a decade—thirteen seasons and 250 episodes—since the launch of this web series, but Rooster Teeth are continuing to revolutionize the world of web-based entertainment, having translated their initial success into an empire that includes endorsement deals, a major fan convention, multiple web series, and now, a book. 13 Hours from Paramount Pictures

To live it because you love it. Hired to protect our nation. Contracted to serve. 13 Hours The secret soldiers of Benghazi is coming to theaters on January 15th. You know the headlines. But do you know the truth? From the iHeart Radio Studio Meg Butterly from 969 The Kat is Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Kris, Mark and John from 13 Hours. In theaters January 15, 2016... 13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI is based on the book 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi, written by New York Times bestselling author Mitchell Zuckoff. 13 HOURS tells the true account of the events of September 11, 2012 when Islamic militants attacked the U.S. State Department Special Mission Compound (or simply – the American diplomatic compound, not the U.S. Embassy) and a CIA station called The Annex in Benghazi, Libya from the personal stories of five of the surviving American private security operators that were on the ground that day. The book and film details what happened to these men, how they handled the circumstances they were presented with and what they accomplished during the thirteen hours of the attack. The Annex Security Team consisted of 6 men: “Jack Silva” (played by John Krasinski), Tyrone “Rone” Woods (played by James Badge Dale), Mark “Oz” Geist (played by Max Martini), John “Tig” Tiegen (played by Dominic Fumusa), Kris “Tanto” Paronto (played by Pablo Schreiber), and “Dave ‘D.B.’ Benton (played by David Denman). The 4 Americans that lost their lives in Benghazi were: oAmbassador Christopher Stevens (U.S. Ambassador to Libya) oSean Smith (Information Management Officer, U.S. Foreign Service) oTyrone “Rone” Woods (GRS Operator for Annex Security Team in Benghazi) oGlen “Bub” Doherty (GRS Operator in Tripoli, Libya – part of the Quick Reaction Force sent from Tripoli to Benghazi after the compound was under attack) Five members of the Annex Security Team survived the attacks in Benghazi and co-authored the book, 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi. While all of the men are former military (veterans), including Navy SEALS, Marines, and Army Rangers, these men were not active duty military at the time of the attack yet were faced with making similar sacrifices, including laying their lives on the line for their countrymen and their country. The CIA uses private security operators called Global Response Staff (GRS) throughout the world in high-risk regions where CIA officers are stationed. These GRS operators are elite former military personnel who have decided to continue their commitment to serve the United States even after their military career has ended. In this role, their job is to provide security for the CIA officers. The state department has their own diplomatic security agents assigned to protect American diplomats, such as the Ambassador. While it was not their job to protect the state department, when the Annex Security Team found out that the U.S. diplomatic compound was under attack, they knew they had to help the fellow Americans (including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens) that were in jeopardy.

Phil Zuckerman is Back

We all have questions. Not too many locate answers. Is life truly all about locating a religion? From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Phil Zuckerman. Phil Zuckerman is a sociology professor at Pitzer College, where he studied the lives of the nonreligious for years before founding a Department of Secular Studies, the first academic program in the nation dedicated to exclusively studying secular culture and the sociological consequences of America’s fastest-growing “faith.” Zuckerman discovered that despite the entrenched negative beliefs about nonreligious people, American secular culture is grounded in deep morality and proactive citizenship—indeed, some of the very best that the country has to offer. Drawing on groundbreaking sociological research and extensive in-depth interviews with men and women across the country, LIVING THE SECULAR LIFE illuminates this demographic shift with the moral convictions that govern secular individuals. In an interview, Zuckerman can discuss: •How secular Americans are constructing their own communities by building institutions and cultivating relationships without religious influence. •Eye-opening research that reveals the enduring moral strength of children raised without religion. •The hardships experienced by secular mothers in the rural South, where church attendance defines the public space. •The unique moral code that allows nonreligious Americans to effectively navigate the complexities of modern life: Spiritual self-reliance, clear-eyed pragmatism, a commitment to living in the here and now, and an abiding faith in the Golden Rule to adjudicate moral decisions. •The real-life stories and beliefs of individuals who have chosen to live a secular life that demonstrates these principles in action and points to their usage throughout daily life: from helping individuals to cope with trying times, to dealing with death, to guiding how they raise their children. A manifesto for a booming social movement—and a revelatory survey of this overlooked community—LIVING THE SECULAR LIFE offers essential and long-awaited information for anyone building a life based on his or her own principles. www.PhilZuckerman.com Follow Phil on Twitter: @phil_zuckerman

Mark Greaney Commander In Chief

Jack Ryan is now the President of the United States. And the world has gotten more reckless. How can a man of the people still be a man for the people by way of action, suspense, drama and intrigue? He does it by putting the action where his commitment is. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with the legendary Mark Greaney. JUST ANNOUNCED: Amazon has picked up Paramount TV’s series based on Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan character after a competitive bidding war With TOM CLANCY COMMANDER IN CHIEF: A Jack Ryan Novel (G. P. Putnam’s Sons; December 1, 2015), Mark Greaney, co-author of three of Tom Clancy’s #1 New York Times bestsellers, once again displays his ability to hit the trifecta of what makes a great Clancy book: Tom's terrific characters combined with edge-of-your-seat action scenes and the over-the-horizon prescience about world events that characterizes Tom's books. The newest electrifying thriller in the #1 New York Times–bestselling series has President Jack Ryan and his allies facing a treacherous foe threatening to unleash chaos around the globe. In COMMANDER IN CHIEF, Russian President Valeri Volodin’s ambitions are foiled in Dagestan and he faces a difficult choice. The oligarchs who support him expect a constant flow of graft, but with energy prices cratering, the Russian economy sputters to a virtual halt. Unable to grow the Russian market at home, his hold on power relies on expansion abroad—a plan that has been thwarted by the United States in the past. But this time Volodin has determined that an indirect approach is the best. A floating natural gas facility in Lithuania is blown up. A Venezuelan prosecutor is assassinated. A devastating attack on a Russian troop train kills dozens. A chaotic world is the best camouflage for a series of seemingly unrelated attacks. Only one man recognizes an ominous pattern in the reports of terror from around the globe. U.S. President Jack Ryan sees a guiding hand in the worldwide chaos, but before he can act he needs proof. While his intelligence agencies race to uncover the truth behind the attacks, the President struggles to unite a fractious and distrustful coalition of Western nations against the schemes of the Russian dictator. With fifty thousand Russian troops poised to invade a NATO nation, can Jack Ryan move swiftly enough to stop Volodin’s grand plan of global conflict and conquest? Or will he succeed in changing the balance of world power forever? About the Authors: Thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore’s Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it “the perfect yarn.” From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013. Mark Greaney is the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of Command Authority, Threat Vector, and Locked On, by Tom Clancy with Mark Greaney and the author of Tom Clancy Full Force and Effect: A Jack Ryan Novel and Tom Clancy Support and Defend: A Campus Novel. He is also the bestselling author of the Gray Man series, including Dead Eye, The Gray Man, On Target, and Ballistic. Greaney has a degree in international relations and political science. In his research for these novels, he traveled to fifteen countries, and trained alongside military and law enforcement in the use of firearms, battlefield medicine, and close-range combat tactics.

Ryan Britt

Do you feel like a Geek? Have you be labeled a little out there. More than normal. I love it when an author calls a great Sci Fi film a romantic comedy. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with author Ryan Britt. Ryan Britt is an uncontrolled experiment—a genre omnivore who has spent his time on this earth flying to other galaxies, undersea cities, freaky amusement parks, Middle Earth, Transylvania, Sherlock Holmes’ London, and the Cretaceous. His essays are reliably smart, surprising, provocative, and funny.” —Karen Russell, Pulitzer-Prize finalist for Swamplandia! “As the nerded and geeked boys and girls of the ‘80s and ‘90s have grown up and become pseudo adults in this early section of the twenty-first century, we’ve noticed something odd: the Gap suddenly sells Star Trek T-shirts. Seemingly overnight, being a “geek” is cool and news article after blog post trumpets that now not only are geeks hip, but their hipness is here to stay, too. The geek(s) have inherited the Earth, which is why Star Trek, Star Wars, comic book heroes, and fantasy novels are more popular than ever.” If the ghost of Marshall McLuhan were to merge with Chuck Klosterman, you’d have essayist Ryan Britt. Britt has never met a monster, alien, wizard or superhero that didn’t require further discussion, and answers questions you haven’t yet thought to ask. Does anyone in the Star Wars universe read books? Is Pete Best the Bilbo to Ringo Starr’s Frodo? And, what ever happened to Biff Tannen’s parents? Now, Britt has written an entertaining manifesto for modern geekdom with LUKE SKYWALKER CAN’T READ. Britt’s thoughtful and fun meditations on everything sci-fi and pop culture spins insights on what many of us have not known about our favorite stuff. He shows us how monster movies are just romantic comedies with commitment issues, claims nobody should get mad about superhero remakes, and argues that killer robots are probably harmless authenticity-seeking hipsters. LUKE SKYWALKER CAN’T READ tears down the wall between hardcore sci-fi readers and the mainstream, making it perfect both for cosplayers, or those who haven’t worn a costume since grade school. About the Author Ryan Britt has written for The New York Times, Electric Literature, The Awl, VICE and The Morning News and is a consulting editor for Story. He was the staff writer for the Hugo Award-winning web magazine Tor.com, where he remains a contributor. He lives in New York City.

David Ray

Born and raised on Bob Seger and Kid Rock. Country Music's next star to step up has a fresh new sound ready to ignite your speakers. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with David Ray. Barring divine intervention, hard work and desire are the key factors in anyone’s success in a career. When combined with genuine talent, the sky’s the limit. This has been the case for David Ray. Ray got his start in his native Michigan, a state known for the likes of Bob Seger and Kid Rock. While learning a few chords on his father’s guitar, Ray gravitated toward country, classic rock and folk music, listening to people like Garth Brooks, Dwight Yoakam and James Taylor. He knew he wanted a career in music, but Ray did the prudent thing and pursued a college education at Central Michigan University. There, he regularly played as a solo acoustic artist at The Cabin, a major college hangout in mid-Michigan. After graduating from college, Ray set out for Nashville where he planned to use his degree to teach school while learning more about the city and the music business. However, there weren’t any teaching jobs open for him in Nashville even though he obtained his certification for the state of Tennessee. He ended up accepting a teaching position in South Florida, without knowing what the future would hold for him there. In 2008, he learned about Kenny Chesney’s "Next Big Star" competition and entered. He won the competition, and soon found himself opening for Chesney in front of 15,000 music lovers. Following that victory, 99.9 KISS Country staff soon began to book Ray for countless station events, including Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes games. KISS Country also hired Ray to play at the station’s concert venue in Fort Lauderdale, where he shared the stage with artists such as Billy Currington, Travis Tritt and Pat Green. This is also where Ray met Jody Stevens, who at the time, was part of the band called Fast Ryde. Stevens told Ray to contact him if he ever decided to move back to Nashville. So, there in Florida, Ray received the kind of break and exposure that he probably never would have found if he had stayed in Nashville. When Ray moved back to Nashville in 2010, he hit the ground running, performing almost as soon as he pulled into town. In addition to performing acoustically, Ray also performed at a few different bars on lower Broadway before landing steady gigs at Honky Tonk Central and the legendary Tootsies Orchid Lounge. Ray also reconnected with Jody Stevens and began working with him in the studio. Soon, Stevens became Ray’s producer. In 2012, Ray landed his first publishing deal with Big Deal Music, where he wrote songs with various top Nashville songwriters. A year later, Ray began working with bass player Darren Theriault, who invited Ray to perform at the inaugural Tree Town Music Festival in Iowa in May, 2014. After the festival, Ray met festival owners Dave and Gary Dewaard, who not only invited Ray back to play the festival the following year, but also began working with Ray as a management team, helping him book gigs and introducing him to radio personalities and booking agents. Today, Ray is in the studio with Jody Stevens recording his first Extended Play and preparing to release his first single in January 2016.

Charlie Daniels

You can't tell me Charlie Daniels is going to call and expect me to conduct an interview. It was time to do what southern men do. This is the full Unplugged and Totally Uncut conversation with Charlie Daniels on iHeart Radio. Produced and released by Smith Music Group, the new project is the latest addition to the Live At Billy Bob's Texas recording series. The new release marks The Charlie Daniels Band’s first live album since 2007. "When you record LIVE, you need to ignore the recording equipment and play for the people and that big ole rowdy crowd. At Billy Bob's Texas, that was easy to do," Daniels said. Smith Music Group's critically-acclaimed Live at Billy Bob's Texas series includes over 40 full concert recordings spread out over three decades, and has become one of country music's most extensive catalogs featuring artists like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Stoney LaRue, David Allan Coe, Pat Green and others. Known for his love of all things Western -- from horses, to rodeos, to Western movies, to his signature cowboy hat and belt buckle, Charlie Daniels is no stranger to Texas. Moreover, it was at a honky tonk in The Lone Star State in the hit movie Urban Cowboy (1980) that he gave an on-screen performance of his trademark, platinum-selling, iconic hit, “The Devil Went Down To Georgia.” Now, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of songs like "Long Haired Country Boy," and "The South's Gonna Do It (Again)," as well as the 35th Anniversary of "In America" and "The Legend of Wooley Swamp," the Live At Billy Bob's Texas CD and DVD bring Daniels full circle -- back to Texas. Kevin Cronin from REO Speedwagon

They were the opening act for multiple years that left concert fans in a frenzy. But it wasn't until Hi Infidelity that REO Speedwagon suddenly became the main attraction. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with front man Kevin Cronin. It is the 35th Anniversary of “Hi Infidelity” on Sat. That album was released on November 21, 1980. That album hit #1 and stayed there for 15 weeks – it has sold approximately ten million copies. Six songs from this album hit Billboard charts, including "Keep On Loving You" which was the band's first No. 1 hit, and "Take It on the Run", which reached No. 5 on the charts. Those six songs: "Don't Let Him Go," "In Your Letter," "Keep on Loving You," "Out of Season," "Take It on the Run" & "Tough Guys." Thirty five years since that release, Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (lead guitar) and Bryan Hitt (drums) are still electrifying concert audiences with fan favorites such as “Keep On Loving You,” “In Your Letter,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Take It On the Run,” “Time For Me To Fly,” “Roll With The Changes,” and more on tour across the US. Doug Gray Marshall Tucker Band

150 shows a year. Plus enough music in the can to last several decades after the final song is played. The bands got a new collection of songs and will appear in Charlotte tomorrow night at the NC Music Factory. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Doug Gray from The Marshall Tucker Band. MTB Releases Live in the UK 1976! After blazing concert trails across the United States for four years, The Marshall Tucker Band (MTB) took a mighty leap in November of 1976 when they crossed the Atlantic and hit Europe for the first time. The MTB recorded and archived the European tour and now for the first time, the nearly 40 year old live recordings will be available for purchase when Live in the UK 1976 (Ramblin’ Records / Sony RED) is released on October 30, 2015. MTB Live in the UK 1976 The international tour led them through West Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and France before wrapping with a four-gig engagement in Great Britain. By the end of the tour, they had put to rest any doubts that their brand of Southern Rock would be welcome overseas. Live in the UK 1976 testifies to how these native sons of Spartanburg, South Carolina could mesmerize a crowd no matter how far from home they traveled, and appreciated the distance they’d come in a few short years. Playing Europe was a very big deal, indeed. "This tour marked the first time we had ever played overseas," reminisces MTB lead singer Doug Gray. "We were just a bunch of young hillbilly kids who had no idea what to expect but let me tell you, our European fans made us feel like we were right at home. This was one of the most memorable tours in the history of The Marshall Tucker Band. I'll never forget it." The original line-up of Doug Gray, Toy and Tommy Caldwell, Jerry Eubanks, Paul Riddle and George McCorckle was at the top of their game, fueled by five successful studio albums and a growing following of concert-goers. This album captures, in amazing sound quality, why The Marshall Tucker Band still commands an audience all over the world. The ten track album includes live recordings from UK tour stops in Manchester, Glasgow, London and Birmingham and contains some band’s biggest hits including “Take the Highway,” “Searchin’ For A Rainbow,” “Can’t You See” and “Fire On The Mountain.”
