Neil Geraldo One December Night
When your love in life is Christmas. You can't sit around and let the holiday arrive only once a year. Famed Classic Rock guitar Neil Geraldo has been deep in a project to reignite the night with brand new shapes and tastes of Christmas music. With his wife Pat Benatar at his side and his two incredibly creative daughters. The arrival of a new wall of sound is being introduced this holiday season. From the iHeart Radio Studio I'm Unplugged and Totally Uncut with Neil Geraldo.
“One December Night” by Pat
Benatar and Neil Giraldo, is the first offering from
Producer/Musician Neil Giraldo’s Holiday record due out
later in 2016. The track is available now at
digital outlets such as iTunes
and Amazonmp3.
The album (whose
title is yet to be named) will feature all original songs of
various styles with special guest vocalists and guest
players, somewhat akin to producer Phil Spector’s famous
Christmas record from the
60’s.
When asked about
the project, Producer Neil Giraldo comments, “My intention
was to write new songs that expressed the feelings and the
emotional components that embraces peoples’ lives during
the holiday season at
the end of the year; hope, family, love, found love and
lost, new beginnings, coming home, et cetera.
One December
Night
was written by our youngest daughter Hana, Patricia, and
myself and features Pat Benatar on vocals as well as Hana
Giraldo on background vocals.
This is the first song we have written as a family and our
oldest daughter Haley Giraldo is involved in the
artwork.
For this
recording, I wanted to capture the holiday charm of the
50’s and 60’s but with a modern cross breed bluesy
approach รก la
The Stroll.
Along with a
roots based rhythm section, add in a bit of street corner
Salvation Army percussion, slide guitar and piano,
Patricia’s powerful voice and a hint of “The Ronettes”
and there you have it,
One December Night!”
