Eric Millegan

The Fox series “Bones” may be nearing its series end with the show’s upcoming season 12. For the show’s finale, it appears that Executive Producer Michael Peterson is thinking to re-introduce an original character back to the series. Loyal viewers of the show will soon see a fan favorite return to the series in “Bones” season 12. Showrunner Peterson has confirmed in an interview with TVLine that he plans to bring back the character Zack Addy for the series’ final season. Avid fans may recall that Zack (Eric Millegan) has been one of the show’s original characters. Zack was Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) regular lab partner until he was influenced by the killer Gormogon in season 3. When Zack ended up confessing to a murder, he was sent to the asylum as part of a plea deal. Despite Zack’s departure, Millegan’s character managed to appear in several “Bones” episodes. Showrunner Peterson commented during his interview that bringing Zack back “seems like the right thing to do.” He also mentioned that he and the show’s team would like to give fans what they wanted for the series’ final season. “I will say this: I know what the fans want, and as much of a roller coaster ride as we may put them through, we want to deliver,” Peterson stated. He also recounted the times when he watched “Bones” even before he started writing episodes for the series. Peterson even complimented Millegan for his portrayal of the character Zack. “I think what Eric brought to that character was fantastic,” he said.
