Director Scott Crawford has spent much of his life devoted to documenting independent culture. He launched Harp Magazine in 2001 and served as its Editor-in-Chief for over 7 years. His 2015 debut feature-length documentary, Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC was critically-acclaimed, receiving accolades from the NY Times, The Washington Post, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Rolling Stone, MTV, and many more. Theatrical screenings sold out worldwide and the DVD debuted in the Billboard DVD Top 10. The film ranked in the Top 50 IMDB documentaries for 2015, was named by Dazed and Confused magazine as the #1 Music Documentary of 2015 and in addition, won the “Audience Award” at the 2015 Noise Pop Festival and “Best Overall Documentary” at the 2015 Asbury Park Film Festival. Crawford’s first book entitled Spoke, will be published by Akashic Publishing in late 2016.
