Kosha Dillz
Kosha Dillz came on to an underground NYC hip hop scene and had the intent of smashing every cypher he was in. While driving up to "the city", as most NJ kids would call it, he would blast tapes of everything from company flow to wu tang. Somewhere along the way, it clicked that this was his main goal in life...to be an MC.
After bouts with drug addiction and stints in jail from his late teens to early twenties, Kosha climbed out of a hole to release his first 12'' vinyl in 2005. Touring for a few years with underground rap legend showed him to the United States, and by 2009, he was on tour with Jewish reggae artists Matisyahu, playing in front of thousands all around the globe.
In 2011, Kosha got in his car and begun filming the "Kosha Dillz is Everywhere: The Hustle to Happiness" film, driving his Nissan Pathfinder across the USA hitting every city he could as his move to Los Angeles, left 28 years of New Jersey life behind. In 2012, he secured the biggest deal of his life, landing his song "cellular phone" on the #1 Superbowl commercial (Bud Light's "Here Weego" ) on USAToday.com. The commercial played multiple times a day for the next 6 months and launched him into critical acclaim as one of the most notorious placements ever by an unsigned/independent artist. Besides that, you can find multiple videos of his on MTV and even see Kosha Dillz as the first person to ever rap in Hebrew at the world famous BET Hip Hop Awards. KD is a known cultural phenomenon, rapping in Hebrew Spanish and English during his live shows that include freestyles on freestyles on freestyles.
Along the way Kosha has been a self sufficient artist, booking his own tours, publicity, and releasing his own albums/EPs like Freestyle vs Written, Beverly Dillz, Gina and The Garage Sale and The Jet Lag EP to name a few. His next album featuring Murs and Gangsta Boo will be coming out late summer/early fall.
