Foghat

Back in the ‘70s, Foghat was a regular presence on the Billboard charts - on the strength of such hit albums as ‘Fool for the City’, ‘LIVE’, ‘Stone Blue’ and many others. And now, the veteran classic rock act is back where they belong - for the first time since 1983, Foghat is back on Billboard with ‘Under the Influence’ (debuting at #17 on “Hard Rock Albums,” and at #40 on “Independent Albums”). Released on June 24th, ‘Under the Influence’, produced by Grammy winner Tom Hambridge, draws from Foghat’s collective musical influences, as the band not only brought in some special guests from their past, who helped launch and inspire the Foghat story, but also invited some new friends into the mix to continue the journey of this never idle band. And the album has already received rave reviews from the music press: "… Foghat's current lineup makes for one, damn good rock and roll band. In today's awful musical landscape, where "rock and roll" has been replaced by "cut and paste" it seems like a good, blue-blooded rock and roll album can be hard to find, especially if you're looking for new stuff from the bands we grew up on.” Mark Cartwright, Q957.com “….It’s therefore loaded with up-tempo guitar rock that fizzes out of the speakers …. The whole thing is stuffed full of potential radio hits and I can imagine this album will be a staple of American radio for years to come.” Bernard Baker, MaximumVolumeMusic.com “Foghat has delivered a huge slab of bluesy, boogie rock that rivals any of their previous releases. This is an album of music, each song standing on its own merits with no filler. There is passion, honesty and most of all, a bunch of kick-ass, feel-good rock ‘n’ roll.” Jeb Wright, Classic Rock Revisited And to celebrate this welcome chart positioning and critical success of ‘Under the Influence,’ the band will be doing what they’ve done best for decades - hitting the road hard, and bringing their unmistakable rock to a concert venue near you.
