The series is based on the 1992 American rom-com in which Berry starred alongside Robin Givens and Eddie Murphy. The series will continue to follow the lives of Jacqueline Boyer's son, Bryson (Tequan Richmond) and Marcus and Angela Graham's daughter, Simone (Tetona Jackson) as they try to step out of their parents’ shadows and make a legacy of their own. Actors Leland Martin (Ari), RJ Walker (David), Brittany Inge (Crystal), and Lala Milan (Tia), will return as series regulars.

Guest stars for the series will include Kim Wayans, Jaleel White, Walter Emanuel Jones, Nicole Williams, Cameron J. Ross, Elle Lorraine, and Zoelle Griggs.

The entire season will be directed exclusively by women of color, with Dime Davis returning to the director’s chair for half of the season. Other directors this season include Tiffany Johnson (Dear White People, Black Monday, and Twenties) for two episodes and first-time director Katrelle N. Kindred for two episodes.

Brittany Inge is a multi-hyphenate artist and activist from Laurel, MD. She is a graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC and Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. After graduating cum laude from Spelman, with a degree in music, Brittany began studying and working as a professional actor. She performed in productions at several of Atlanta’s premiere theater houses before transitioning into television and film. Brittany credits theater work as her “grad school experience” and continues to move proudly between stage and screen projects. Her recent TV/Film work includes roles on “Atlanta” (FX), “The Passage” (FOX), “Dynasty” (CW), “The Resident” (FOX), “Survivor’s Remorse” (STARZ), “Love Is _ ” (OWN), and the feature film: “The Hate U Give“. Currently, you can find Brittany portraying the role of Crystal Garret in BET’s hit series, “Boomerang“. Brittany resides in New York City but considers it a goal and privilege to work all over the world.

In his rapidly budding acting career, RJ most recently completed shooting a great supporting role in Amy Poehler’s feature comedy, WINE COUNTRY, with Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Jason Schwartzman. Last seen in season 2 of the award winning series, ATLANTA for FX as the rival rapper to Paper Boi, ‘Clark County.’ RJ will soon be seen in the star studded thriller, THE SPINNING MAN, directed by Simon Kaijser. The film stars Pierce Brosnan, Guy Pierce, Minnie Driver, Odeya Rush and Alexandra Shipp, among others. Before that, RJ wrapped a leading role for the TRU TV pilot, SMALL VICTORIES, helmed by the Executive Producers of SOUTH PARK and ANOTHER PERIOD on Comedy Central. His other credits include Amazon’s HAND OF GOD with Ron Pearlman, Nia Long, and Andre Royo and starring alongside Steve Guttenberg in the SyFy original feature, 2LAVA 2LANTULA, RJ’s other TV appearances include BASKETS with Zach Galifinakis for FX, ABC’S CASTLE and TNT’s MAJOR CRIMES. An active Commercial career, RJ has already starred in over 25 Commercial spots, including campaigns for SMIRNOFF and SLIM JIM. A trained Improv performer, RJ has studied comedy at Second City, UCB, iO West, Groundlings, The PIT New York, and Nerdist. RJ is also a skilled street dancer and has trained in top studios from Los Angeles to Oklahoma.
